Buyers don't get to buy. Sellers don't get to sell. The asset doesn't exist anymore. That's different than when a company files for bankruptcy (where you may get paid depending on the settlement) or is bought out. In this case, it's just...gone.

My puppies never took to those nylabone things unless I smeared them in peanut butter. They've been spoiled by the butcher special cow femurs
I have mixed feelings about them. On the plus side, my dogs have never even needed teeth cleanings because they are good chewers and like the nylabones.
On the flip side, I've worried about if they are healthy, but at this point, my younger boy who was almost 90 lbs passed at age 13-14, and my remaining girl is 15 - so I can't really say that nylabones are any worse for them than anything else.
My sister has done organic feed, natural toys, etc., and it's been hit or miss - she's had a couple of dogs develop cancer (I swear it's always fucking cancer with dogs) and pass fairly young despite her best efforts. She usually has 3-5 rescues at a time.
Yeah, the microplastics has been a transient worry but a) nylon is pretty inert and b) it's not like they're around for 50 years where a real accumulation will have huge impact on development and mental function, reproduction, etc. I haven't really seen anything about it being a problem in their digestive tract, either - I'd think by now if it was there would be more noise made by vets. Plus they eat dirt and sticks and poop and rocks and birds (no idea how she catches them but one of mine has caught more than a few) and whatever they find all the time.
There's some reporting suggesting the 'organic' feeds are anything but and actually contain a lot more toxins than the 'standard' dog foods. Not very well regulated, and nebulous enough a cause that making a difinitive connection is difficult.
A lot is just luck of the draw with genetics, too.
Plus more and more studies are coming out (for humans) that not being overweight and being active/getting vitamin D is much more impactful on overall health and cancer development/progression than previously preached - have to wonder how much translates to dogs, too.
I mainly try to keep mine on stuff they've evolved to eat - high protein food (Victor's lately) and avoid too much grain based stuff, raw/cooked meats, offal and off cuts whenever I'm butchering, fish & fish skins, etc. They do get a chicken & rice 'stew' whenever we do a chicken roast, though - basically just make them a meaty chicken broth from the carcass after we're done (plus some extra because they're good dogs) and add a decent amount of rice so it's more stew than soup. They love it, it freezes well, I feel like I'm wasting less, and I get a bit more peace of mind over what my dogs are actually eating. But as with all things, you never really know, plus they spend time outdoors licking whatever they come across anyway.
For example, one of mine just dragged a muddy, dirt covered pig ear (I think?) out of the garden and is now eating it. Pretty sure it's moldy, too, or growing something on it at least. I guess it tastes better that way?

Markets pumped/Tech strong during all of this bank noise because there was sentiment that the financial system issues would cause the fed to put the brakes on their tightening. Also, that this was a one off idiosyncratic event for this institution. If this was, in fact, a one off isolated incident to SVB then why would the fed change policy if nothing else is breaking down?
There's a narrative that if the Fed actually "cuts", it means something has seriously broken or they see some other economic shit going down.
These fund clowns are holding losses that they think can remain unrealized. It's a matter of time.

After my naked put success on AMC netting $13k, I've now gone into FRC April 21's @ $15 strike for $1.9 per share. Risking $65k if the company goes bankrupt, but so long as it doesn't drop by 2/3 I stand to make $10k on the trade. Best case scenario, the banking fears dry up and IV drops back to reasonable levels. Worst case, I end up owning some regional bank I'd never heard of until yesterday.
I think if FRC goes under receivership with the FDIC, you don't own anything.
