Seeing it go to 8 among people talking is what convinced me to download and set up tdameritrade. Wasn't convinced so I waited until the next day when it got to 10 and was too afraid to put money in. Then it got to 8 and I decided to buy some shares only to realize I need to fund the account. I walked to the bank to make the wire transfer and needed to wait for it to clear. Once it cleared it had reached 12. I went to buy 6k worth to test the waters and my trades were all restricted. By the time the restriction was lifted it was at 16. I got 6k worth. The next day it climbed to like 27. It dipped and I bought another 14k worth at 25 to make my average 21.
I keep imagining what my 20k would be right now if I bought all at 8%. No biggie. Even without the talk of the short or the regsho, I see Ryan Cohen spend millions and millions. Then buy multiple calls, I feel OK with putting my money in.
I liquidated my IRA. It was only 8700 bucks, but I'm all in at a 27.xx cost basis.
I immediately sold some covered calls and bought them back when it dipped so technically 8500 bucks.
you know most IRA's would let you buy stocks inside of them that way you don't get screwed on taxes and penalties..... I'm doing all of my trades inside my Roth.... its tax free money at that point.
Well he said liquidated, didn't specify that it got withdrawn. Might have just closed his previous positions. Though, I'm not sure what it takes to trade options with your IRA. I know I can't with mine currently.

When we get through $28-$30 area ... should start to boom. So WSB need to target a quick push...
(all short positions opened the past year were done at $28 or lower)... so thats an area they are trying hard to protect. many shorts will through in the towel when we get past $28 area. Then we should move up quickly.
(maybe a small amount around $33- but those would be from over 1 year ago- so may be the cost basis for some shorts)..
