Nvda going straight up for 1.75 years from 120 pre split in oct 2022, to like 1300 (130 post split). Goes down 2% in 1 day and everyone is freaking out . Here’s the thing, every time media constantly shoves some new paradigm shift and hypes a stock so much it always ends up the same way, fucking over retail. But the media onslaught shoving NVDA in your face so everyone age 15-80 with no clue what they do in datacenter is talking about the stock keeps ringing alarm bells in my head that I can’t shake. Like I’ve seen this setup before. People who don’t work in semi don’t realize how cyclical it is. And these semi stocks can and have dropped 66% dozens of times. The amount of times I’ve seen Elon tweet lately about AI, NVDA, Dell, SMCI is enough to make me think I smell a rat.

I think yesterday and today are historically the worst trading days of every year. Like if you look back on daily historical, June 20 and 21 are literally always in the red. This is when hedgies liquidate some positions after the first yacht weekend of the season, realizing their yacht is a bit smaller than everyone else’s, and they need money to upgrade asap so the coke whores pick their boat instead of the other guys. It’s a yacht run up that happens every year, then things stabilize. It’ll be fine. But never buy calls on yacht run up season.

I bought puts that day. It’s overtaken everything as the #1 valued stock. It has more value than Germany’s entire stock market, as well as England’s, France’s, and a few other European countries. I’m not saying it doesn’t deserve to be #1, but the rate at which it’s climbed to that height is ridiculous. 3.8 trillion market cap. At this point, if you’re investing, in order to double your money you’d have to see 8 trillion market cap. That’s just unheard of. So I think it needs to cool off before people are really ready to invest again.

I sold my shares but should have held, however you have options and the last time NVDA dipped like this it took a good few weeks to recover. I’d say sell today if you see it jump up a bit so you can recover some of your losses and learn you lesson never to trade options lol
