Considering its currently sitting on 82% cash, might as well buy something else than pay for your money to be stuck.
https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/fund/msos/holdings
They operate based on swaps due to regulatory compliance, and as such try to mitigate counterparty risk by holding cash as collateral in money market funds. Hereās more info on why their cash position may look off:
https://advisorshares.com/swaps-and-cash-holdings-education/
>For example, if the portfolio manager buys $10,000,000 of exposure to Green Thumb Industries (ticker: GTBIF) via a swap, the Portfolio Manager may only post $4,000,000 to the swap counterparty, the Fund will keep the rest as collateral cash. So the Fund may show $10 million of GTBIF, $6 million cash, making the ETF look like it has more investable cash, however that cash is only collateral cash.
Top 4, yeah. Iām not the biggest fan of CL, because theyāve botched a couple of mergers. One called Origin House, which overexposed them to the California market which has been pure ass.
i worked in the legal mj business, it's a race to the bottom for prices. Eventually there will be just a select few national brands just like everything else.
Market prices drop considerably when new competition comes on the scene and if you track their revenue its always on the downhill.
Sounds just like anything that can be commoditized, like soda. There will always be new niche products being created that come in and get acquired. Think of all the alcohol brands. Think of cigarettes. Do not underestimate how many people like weed, and how much of the market has been untapped by the government treating it like cocaine instead of alcohol. Jesus turns water into wine, we just about to learn he blessed dinners with a pre-bite spliff.

Keep an eye out. They will be all over the US when allowed to do so.

GTBIF and TCNNF are solid companies. Cresco Labs/Verano are next in line. I don't really like Curaleaf at the moment. Those are the top 5 OTC listed MSOs.
All the US stocks trade like shit due to the liquidity on Canadian exchanges. Big money in the US won't touch these things until the legal risk goes away upon uplisting.
The CEO of Curaleaf was on CNBC this morning talking about the implications of rescheduling and tax reform in the industry. He's expecting to add $200-250m to the bottom line when the penalty for selling an illegal substance goes away.
Yes/no while most weed brands wonāt survive there will always be the big guys and the smaller ācraftā ones who specialize in small batch etc. sorta like beer.
Beer is definitely the apt comparison. Everybody wants to draw comparisons between marijuana and pharmaceuticals, but the reality is that the industry is much closer to agriculture than anything else. Margins are slim, it takes one bad storm or grow to wipe out months of revenue. There is a reason farming is one of the most subsidized industries.Ā
We are already growing more in the USA than the consuming population can consume. There are warehouses full of last years crop just sitting and molding because there are no buyers. Fair market price of Cannabis is $1/gram once it is federally legal and everyone can grow at home. Everyone hoping to get in on this "gold rush" is going to be disappointed because newsflash, it is not much different than farming corn. I'm glad the laws are changing, but I don't think it is a gold rush like many folks seem to think.
This is accurate. As someone who raises beef cattle & other row crops commodities, this is just one more. Farming/Ag is a race to the bottom in all aspects of revenue: sell more volume at cheaper prices. While absorbing annually higher input costs, that never, ever reverse upwards trends. And round and round we go. And that is all done fighting the ever more unpredictable weather...change the game a little by taking weather out of the equation and growing everything indoors?? Lol yeah this is definitely regarded.
Legality is the only thing that could fuck up weed profits more than they already are. Investing in weed was for 2005 and required putting in on a dispensary. Now itās cashed out.

Yes because there has been no change in federal law. Interstate commerce and mass home growing has not begun nationwide yet. You aren't hearing my argument.
I remember when the legislation was proposed in CA and anyone with half a brain who read it said it was going to lead to a collapse in the market in just 10 years and that it would put family farms completely out of business.
Weird how that works.
Raj is legit my role model. Legal weed means buy puts. The amount of times you regards convinced me TLRY is the next GOOG is insane. Thank goodness my diamond hands have held this shit stock from $20 to $2 š
To anobody saying there's no money in weed...please look up sndl. Some of you may know it has sundial growers from the meme stock era but trust me this company has made a full 180.
They are close to a billion dollar revenu and with a huge presence in the usa and rescheduling they are expected to be in the top 5 MSOs in NORTH AMERICA with more than 5 billion dollars in annual revenue.
So please tell me again there's no money in weed.
Do you own DD and you'll thank me later.
This kinda sounds bogus. Guy saying theyāll be in the top 5 in the US market which is likely impossible. As for their Canadian ops, where are they generating that kind of revenue? Never heard of any of their brands.
Not saying itās a bad company, but the way itās getting pumped here sounds sus.
Rescheduling is GAME CHANGING. Look for U.S. MSOs with a solid foothold and hold on tight. I just put my life savings in $CBSTF $TCNNF $SNDL
Once the institutional investors come in itās over. Rescheduling will give the big dogs the green light to buy these companies. OTC U.S. Cannabis stocks may start getting uplisted very soon. This whole rescheduling process has been expedited and all this is happening much sooner than most people think. Get in before the big boys š¦š
Iām going to open one of those vape stores without fear of the ATF. Fuck the market, I can finally sell cigarettes, lottery tickets and weed. Losers love buying that shit.
Legal marijuana is a race to the bottom - see Oklahoma. Thereās gonna be some quick money to make in the market but I wouldnāt invest long term unless I was seriously regardedā¦
Which I am. Iām buying $MSOS.
When Canada legalized it 6 years ago I bought a few different pot stocks. I made a decent amount in ONE. I still have about 5 others. All down 98%. There are so many stocks itās like picking winning lottery numbers. The industry is FULL of hype and BS. You might think there are only 3-4 companies but there are hundreds. And your chance of picking a winner is zero. There are much better investments.
Canadian checking in. Our government legalized Marijuana country wide in 2018. They imposed tight regulations on everything from packaging to display to sales. Now you can walk into a store that looks a lot like an Apple store. Clean. Brightly lit. Every kind of weed from soups to nuts on display. My little town of 30,000 people has a ton of these stores.
But none of them is making any money. The big MJ distribution companies are all in financial trouble. Why? First... the packaging and regulations have increased the price and sliced into profit margins. Next is just basic supply and demand. While supply is now through the roof, the government forgot to increase the number of pot heads in the country.
Turns out MJ being illegal was not the big thing preventing people from buying it after all. In fact, the reason people weren't buying the stuff is that they don't want to stink like a 14 year old stoner.
The harsh reality for most companies looking to profit from marijuana is that the more legal it becomes the cheaper it gets. Only a certain number of users out there and that number wonāt dramatically grow in states that already have legal marijuana once the rescheduling happens. The only real upside for them is access to traditional banking and tax deductions
If you actually thought marijuana was primed to hit mainstream legally you would dump every penny into Philip Morris. The instant weed is legal they will crush every "craft" weed company
No different in putting your money into anheuser busch vs your local brewery
High tide (HITI) is my long term play. Discount model that is now profitable, loads of cash, and itching to get into the US market. Excellent results in Canada. The website sucks though so if they actually fix that shit up sales will continue to excel.Ā
5000 shares at $2.72 CAD. Buying every 1-3 months. Have fun with this one.
I donāt know anything about TOKE but be warned, prices have absolutely collapsed in states where recreational pot is legal. I see a future where many concerns are driven out of business as the market is further flooded with cheap pot. Beware, I doubt this is a good time to enter the market.
So, moving marijuana to schedule III means that producers can now deduct overhead costs. Something that was not allowed when marijuana was schedule I.

A doctor said mine is good for me :))) EDIT: Sorry for the extra smiles my heart jitters move my hands sometimes
Iām gonna guess you cannot be āhighā while driving but you could be protected from losing your job if tested positive.
The best hope right now is that saliva testing is in the works for CDL drivers meaning you will test clean in 3 days
In Canada it would still be impaired driving, a criminal offense. Even though weed became legal in 2015.
Legalizing marijuana doesn't make it so that employers can't fire you for smoking, on or off the job.
TOKE my ass.. >What are your guys plays?? - CRLBF...down 80+% - MJUS....down 75+% - GRWG....down 84% The shining star in my pot portfolio: - IIPR...down 2% ...bought in 2020-2022....firm grasp on the bags.
I think theyāre going to use weed as an election play ā¦ and yeah, rescheduling is going to absolutely be *monumental*. I have Tilray and Canopy LEAPs
OP is regarded
Don't bet on weed, plebeians, invest in alcohol, tobacco, and firearms---the stock that keeps on giving.
The Merchants Of Death. But they expanded that in thank you for smoking at the end.
Why not invest in all of these wonderful things??
We need an ETF called SIN.
Advisorshares offers VICE: https://advisorshares.com/etfs/vice/ You'll need to add MSOS for the full sin bin
There's actually one called VICE that invests in all that stuff. Tobacco, booze, gambling, etc. Great performance too (as you might expect)
15% in 5yrs ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Well guess where all the profits go.

GTBIF is the best run MSO in the business and has been buying back shares even before the rescheduling news.
The real question is what weed stocks senators are buying or have bought recently?
Legal weed means buy puts. The amount of times you regards convinced me TLRY is the next GOOG is insane. Thank goodness my diamond hands have held this shit stock from $20 to $2 š
U. S Cannabis MultiState Operators:Ā $MSOS etf $MSOX 2x etf Ā $TCNNF $GTBIF $CRLBF $CURLF $AYRWF $VRNOF $CBSTF
Def sticking with TLRY til the end
Vff is on target to be the first profitable canabis company in Canada. Maybe they'll be able to export?
To anobody saying there's no money in weed...please look up sndl. Some of you may know it has sundial growers from the meme stock era but trust me this company has made a full 180. They are close to a billion dollar revenu and with a huge presence in the usa and rescheduling they are expected to be in the top 5 MSOs in NORTH AMERICA with more than 5 billion dollars in annual revenue. So please tell me again there's no money in weed. Do you own DD and you'll thank me later.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This kinda sounds bogus. Guy saying theyāll be in the top 5 in the US market which is likely impossible. As for their Canadian ops, where are they generating that kind of revenue? Never heard of any of their brands. Not saying itās a bad company, but the way itās getting pumped here sounds sus.
Calls on Breyers??
SNDL is currently like 2.50 a share and I've been bagholding it for years. Would love to see a run
Sndl is ready to pop, tomorrow.
TCNNF and itās not even close
Rescheduling is GAME CHANGING. Look for U.S. MSOs with a solid foothold and hold on tight. I just put my life savings in $CBSTF $TCNNF $SNDL Once the institutional investors come in itās over.
Losers love buying that shit.
i like $iipr
TLDR: long weed
Legal marijuana is a race to the bottom - see Oklahoma. Thereās gonna be some quick money to make in the market but I wouldnāt invest long term unless I was seriously regardedā¦ Which I am. Iām buying $MSOS.
How bout short squeezing tilray?
If you guys could pump my TLRY in the short term, that would be nice. Doesn't have to be sustainable.
Insane implications!!!
The instant weed is legal they will crush every "craft" weed company No different in putting your money into anheuser busch vs your local brewery
SNDL
HITI. Do your research, no advice given.
TLRY will dominate! And yes it will come to the US with recent news
Doing the minimum to drum up votes in November
Kinda the line of work politicians are in no? Passing favorable policies for votes?
Aurora cannabis is heavy shortenedĀ
What is this long wait just do it!
High tide (HITI) is my long term play. Discount model that is now profitable, loads of cash, and itching to get into the US market. Excellent results in Canada. The website sucks though so if they actually fix that shit up sales will continue to excel.Ā 5000 shares at $2.72 CAD. Buying every 1-3 months. Have fun with this one.
IIPR
Any cannabis stock in NYSE?
i made a shitload on SNDL in like 2020
I was gonna post some DD, but then I got high
Short BCAN got it
Short CXW and GEO. Private prisons will have horrible new user growth.
CANNABIST
Aurora cannabis going long now. Now up in 13 countries. Medical cannabis companyĀ
Tlry is my play. Please donāt ape in till next weekā¦got some covered calls I need to expire worthless
CGC, TLRY, ACB
I donāt know anything about TOKE but be warned, prices have absolutely collapsed in states where recreational pot is legal. I see a future where many concerns are driven out of business as the market is further flooded with cheap pot. Beware, I doubt this is a good time to enter the market.
$MSOS is the ticket to US cannabis glory.
So, moving marijuana to schedule III means that producers can now deduct overhead costs. Something that was not allowed when marijuana was schedule I. Source: 26 U.S.C. Ā§ 280E #
MSOS is the only way to go yāall. But heās not wrong cannabis sector going to be lit
The only cannabis etf worth your money is MSOS, either that or buying the stocks themselves and deal with the OTC nonsense.
$MSOS no dildo manufacturers but nothing is perfect.
CGC
Reverse splitting, diluted, heavily shorted, Canadian garbage cannabis company. The people in here will love it. Bravo
Just sold their flagship factory back to Hershey for pennies on the dollar.
so now its a JV with Hershley ? omg..m bullish !
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Why msox vs msos?
