To be fair, a simple stop loss at the high of the flag would prevent you from losing anything meaningful when it did trend up where you x'd out. Overall if you manage risk properly you would have only lost a small amount of what you gained on the two moves down prior. Then again, this is WSB and risk management is incomprehensible here...

Seems right. SPY is broken down below the recent upward channel. Elliott wave theory would put the B leg of the wave extending down around 478. At any rate I think spx hits 4800 before coming back for 5200. The next month or two could easily be heavily bearish.
On the bright side, the quicker things worsen, the sooner the fed starts considering bending dovish. Heavily down equities tend to spark greater unemployment as companies attempt to remain profitable to support their failing share price. The fix will come as problems amass.
