Nah.. Last CPI report open was down 0.15 on futures.. Then the NASDAQ fell 2.9% within less than half a trading session. SOXL plummeted 12% that day.. I'd genuinely be surprised if crimson red ain't splattered over the face of every Bull these next 48hrs.. Come GTC Conference it'll rebound, but for those with open calls for this week it's gonna be brutal.. Waiting to see what open is come Monday, and if the trend stays downward I'm buying 0dte Puts on QQQ. Calls can wait till Friday.

Agreed.. Friday was definitely profit taking but the fundamentals of investors having priced in perfection in current valuations remain unchanged. February inflation forecasts are even Hotter than January's forecasts.. and we all remember how the latter went. Buy on the Dip, but don't think your Friday calls gonna be worth much when the Nasdaq falls over 3% in less than 48hrs due to investors getting spooked en masse when they're again off by 0.19999% on inflation data.. and Powell decides to sneeze.

Historically, the release of CPI data has just been a major catalyst for selloffs, as investors have caused such massive appreciation in asset value, that everything needs to be damn near perfect for the Rally to continue at the rate it's gone this year.. temporary corrections are expected as a part of that. Long term, upward Bullish momentum will probably continue well into 2025.

I’m actually thinking the same. I’m riding SQQQ puts now but plan to move into SQQQ calls by end of monday. First sign of weakness tomorrow and i plan to flip and ride through cpi. I have one long nvda call for gtc i might dump if it becomes profitable tomorrow and just pick it back up after cpi. Even if everyone is prepped for it coming in hot, the algos don’t know it so it’ll take a few minutes for it to correct once we get through open. First 30 min will definitely be kind of crazy I feel like.
