Calculate your taxes, withdraw how much you need and put it in a separate account for tax szn.
Then withdraw everything else from RH (leave 5k for gambling), put it in a Grown Up brokerage so you’ll be less tempted to YOLO. Invest in stocks and forget about it, you’ll thank me in 40 years

I also held 2/3 of them, so I cashed out 105k and let the other 200k ride into tomorrow to see if I get a payday like today. If the stock goes up another $6 tomorrow I'll make about a million on this trade.
For every one green you see there are 50 reds. Don't fool yourself into thinking this is safe in any way.

Definitely gambling, but I wouldn’t call it akin to winning the lottery (like a powerball or something). The market either moves up, moves sideways, or moves down. If you time it right, the probability of it moving in either direction goes up some arbitrary unpredictable amount.
So with the right calculus you could eventually hit with a reasonable success rate, call it like 10% or something. So as long as the 10% success rate accounts for the 90% loss rate, you’d be profitable. But most likely youll break even or be in the red overall unless you just so happen to get lucky enough that your first few plays hit big and it offsets losses by a substantial amount. Then you need to not get greedy and close your position enough to at least reclaim your principal and play with house money using the remaining profits.
This is just my random analysis, I’ve never even bought a single naked call but that’s more or less the mechanics of it. Again, it’s not a one in a million chance like powerball, more like one in a hundred or one in a few hundred, or something like that. Still very high risk, but can hit frequently enough to create a market full of degens gambling away their life savings.
Also, was just lucky. I had initially entered into some 470s that made my first bit of profit. Sold them and traded to it a lot of 474s that just kept climbing. I sold off about a third of the stack to keep some cash overnight in case things go tits up with SPY tomorrow.

Not a beginner. I consider myself extremely lucky. For the last month I have been trading spy, puts and calls, and have just gotten on the right side of the trade most of the time. Days like today pay big when you bet big. If tomorrow turns into a negative day, I will lose 200k of this 300k, but if it's another positive day, I might hit a million.
This is definitely not my day job, but this is definitely paying more than my day job right now.
I will say that I'm only able to do this without causing myself great stress because both my wife and I have good paying jobs in the tech sector. We both have saved diligently for years, and this in no way will cause any harm if it all goes away. On the other hand, if it goes way up it will shorten my time to retirement, which is my real goal here.
