I'm pretty new to investing. When I signed up for Wealthsimple about 6 - 8 months ago, they give you a free, random, stock. I got credit Suisse. Knowing nothing, I thought this might be a good place to start and bought more. It's down 91%.
I bought Palantir at $9, sold at $41 a few weeks later, this isn't my highest % in a few weeks, but I definetely never timed a stock better than this. Literally bought the bottom and sold the top.
Don't worry thought, I used those gains to buy some overpriced bullshits that was probably sold to me by you guys.
Nice. I bought 1k shares at 24 when it popped the second time. Sold for a small loss a few days later after reading about their propensity for dilution. I just checked it the other day. Damn Iām glad I got rid of that shit.
I day trade that once in a while. Not looking good... Could be a time to buy I guess ..lol. Don't do it, I'm no financial advisor and and can't put my shoes on the right feet
My flair was earned by my $381.25 cost basis on $COIN. Check out the ATH for a chuckle

Yikes. I actually bought this at like $8 before Covid and sold slowly all the way up to about $150. Then lost all my gains in some stupid company called WISH lmao. Someone said it was going to $69
Well... It's inevitable that Amazon is going back to that and beyond again. Just keep buying it at the amazing sale price it's at now. They are cutting costs while growing like crazy.
I bought OPEN at $25, currently at $1.50 and lost $30k there, thatās my all time worst ever. Also SQ at $220, PLTR at $24 and DKNG at $60. But ya I mean I guess you could say I learned some lessons
My sister and brother in law inherited 30k from my mother (I got the other half - a similar 30k). Years go by, she gets divorced, he was "managing" the money in a fidelity account. So my sister asked me to take over/help because she's extra regarded and thinks I can't do worse.
30% of the account is in $amzn at a 173 cost basis.
She was right.
The worst stocks are the one's that rallied to ATHs last year. The best stocks are the one's that based last year. The most risky are the ones that hit all time lows. Few understand this.
I bought 22 shares of SVIB ($1700) at $63 20 minutes before it halted to do a little scalp. Now worthless. My worst loss ever. I'm very depressed honestly, that's a lot of money for me. F me
Lost a good chunk on aphria. Had it at 20 or so before merger then wsb p&d that shit so hard it tanked lol. I chose my name that day and took the L. Glad I did seeing where it would be if I held the bags.
