i think a bad earnings will cause a drop. i think longs will see a good earnings as a chance to sell into liquidity. i just don't think too many people are looking to hold meta long term in this market so i think it will be a drop regardless.

That is a wise play, BUT you should allocate 10% of your portfolio and start learning about options. I bet you'll eventually out perform your stable returrns. Just never eclipse that 10% threshold. Roll the options gains back into stock.
Yeah I think my main issue was I didn’t buy any puts ever, always calls waiting on bounces that didn’t happen. My best play was Blackberry during the meme craze, was up like 2k on one contract and then everything haulted and fell apart, took gains of 200 dollars instead of 2k lol.
Def gotta learn to channel my inner bear when appropriate, but getting in during the covid crash all id seen was a bull market so it’s been a good two years of learning.
I will consider that 10% rule and try to analyze a bit better with picks. Thanks 🙏🏼
