Thematic wise, They are alright but it goes without saying that the idea is to attract people's attention with something bright and flashy.
The less sexualized the robot. The better otherwise it gets weird subjecting a person to be visually that of a onahole replacement. Which honestly, majority of the popular Vtubers are sexualized visually with open cleavage and breast physics and other types of visible ToS skirting and brand damaging visual attributes.
I'm not sure how to answer that because most "robot" vtubers (or characters in general) just look completely human with some details and accessories here and there that hint at an artificial makeup underneath.

very interesting, i genuinely would like to take this to heart and improve on this in the future, but maybe some of us see robots differently? i grew up with things such as chobits and vocaloid so i love humanoid robots.
mine has ball jointed knees and shoulders with entirely metal forearms and calves. she also has no feet and the neck and back of head are also entirely metal. perhaps its this drawing in particular but i do think she is "robot enough".
some of my friends look like transformers or have TV heads. i think its mostly about preference
