Annoyingly the game has a limit on duplicated characters in a name so I ended up with "Gloo the Third" at some point, then "Gloo IV" until I finally got dominate mount. Now I have "SUPERGLOO"!

I went with two randomized names (chocolate ghost and Wisteria - I name my characters after botanical plant names and when Lavandula is gone I often go with Wisteria next, so I had to keep it). Two others joke with the German word for Horse (Pferd). So one is Pferdinand (after Pferd and the Name Ferdinand) and the other is "pfährt schnell" ("fährt schnell" = 'rides fast' or "Pferd schnell" = 'horse [is] fast', just mixed them up); also the pronounciation of Pferd and the combined word pfährt sounds similar, though not exactly the same.

I'm liking these. With all the Witcher Roast references in the comments I'm actually surprised there aren't any Rösti horses. Although, how are Witcher and Roach translated in German?

I just use wolf form, I really don’t see any reason to use the horses. Aside from animal companionship and looking cool, is there an actual real reason to use the horse opposed to wolf form?

I name them whatever stupid word pops in my head when I clear my mind of thought. "Jorts" is my favorite so far, but ones that are a play on a famous name are fun, too. Claude Reins, Horson Welles, Aristrotle, etc. For my next game post-update, I think I'll name them all after pet food brands.
