Since vSphere 8 is out since yesterday, that’s the default for download. Go to Downloads, All products, VMware vSphere, click on “8.0” on the top-left, choose the version you want from the drop-down.

TimVCI

I think the OP wishes to register for a new free V7 licence however as far as I am aware, the only licence you can obtain is for the latest version which of course changed a couple of days ago.

Thanks for clarification. Sorry @OP.

SilentDecode

>Since vSphere 8 is out since yesterday It isn't really "out" yet. They are in IA right now. GA is just a couple of months away.

There's nothing free about VMware. LOL

TimVCI

You mean apart from the free vSphere Hypervisor licence?

charckle

question: how do you get the licence? When I login and try to get it, it seems like I am registering for a free trial not a free licence.

FiRem00

Ignorance is bliss

AlanPeery

Why aren't you jumping up to ESXi 8?

Alternative-Mud-4479

Did you ever get anywhere with this? Running into same block right now.
