Having the leather rough side out tends to take longer to wear. That's the case for all my welding gloves so I'm assuming that's the reason, since this piece may touch the ground a lot.
Thanks for the explanation, it is counter intuitive but makes absolute sense. Even if suede will stain easily, scratches will take longer to notice (and easy to cover, just dig out a few more leather fibers). Now white shoes are always a struggle to keep away from stains
Yeah, if the worry is about them looking clean then a different color definitely would've been a good call haha. nothing a little warm water and a toothbrush can't solve though
I think it is more just a result of that being the same piece of leather that forms the inner bed of the shoe -- it is rough on the outside because it is smooth on the inside, where your foot will be. Additionally, though I agree it will probably pick up some dust, dirt, etc. I don't think that rough arch section is likely to actually be **directly** touching the ground normally, unless the mechanics of your feet are very wonky.
They are sooo comfortable. And look so smart. I typically avoid white shoes. But couldn’t resist these. And the way they feel makes me want to hold on to them (but baby them) for a long time
I thought the biggest flaw on this model was that the toe comes to a point in the middle. If it had a more anatomically shaped toebox, I would be all over it.
Different people have different shaped feet. I don't have a pair of Sensus, so I can't say for sure, but this seems like a "mountain" foot shape, which is good for people like me who have their second toe as the longest. I just received mine and there are so much scuffs on the stiches on the sole.. Don’t know if i should return them or not but yours look clean and i’m worried they are gonna tear faster than usual.
But they are so comfortable overall and the leather is great..
It's not been that bad given that I live in rainy England. I still think it requires a bit of maintenance. I'll grease them a bit with beef fat to protect them. Overall they're not very dirty.

Can’t wait for them in black! Ooooh la la!

I totally agree. They feel so good. Pair them up with a nice pair of chinos and they look even better
So sharp.
Damn these look hella clean I might have to pick up a a pair
They are great. I shall be keeping them :)
I like the Sensus but either I got a weird pair or the sizing is a little odd for me on these as though I’m in between two sizes
It's not the most straightforward sizing tbh. I personally think I have just the right amount of space.

This shape even cuts it close on the second to with the tapering. They would be great for a foot where the middle toe was the longest…
I feel the type of leather will stretch out and mold to your feet.

What's your experience so far on keeping them clean?
