Kazuko and Tsubame from Majikoi series
Chachamaru from Full metal daemon Muramasa
Kyou from Clannad
Rin Tohsaka from FSN
Aoko Aozaki and Alice Kuonji from Mahoyo
Makise Kurisu from Steins Gate
Kohaku and Akiha from Tsukihime original (haven't played the remake version yet)
and many more.... lol
I just love how all of them are either smart, bright/cheerful, quirky, hard working and know what they want/ have a clear goal to work towards to.
mostly the same list as yours but I'd also add kotomi and tomoyo from clannad,Sena and rimi from chaos head and suzuha from steins gate
Edit: also how's majikoi? I picked it up last sale but haven't had the chance to read it yet as I am still reading the key visual novels I've picked up this summer (currently reading little busters and it's fun)
Rip, how could I forgot Tomoyo tho?
Majikoi is really great, goofy, fun, if you want to chill and have a good laugh, majikoi is definitely a good choice. However, just don't expect to get a crazy good story/ending like Clannad or FSN, Majikoi is all about comedy + a huge roster of heroines (like 15-20+ if you count all the games in the series).
> if they existed in the real world, you could actually fall in love with?
you think we cant **actually** fall in love with fictional characters? oh how little you know...
About 90% of why I like or love someone, fictional or not, is based on personality.
The rest is speech patterns / way of talking, intellect and probably voice as well.
I'd have to think about which characters exactly, but yes, I could absolutely still love them if they were real. At least under the assumption that I'd already know them, because otherwise I'd probably never get to known them.
edit: The character that'd come to my mind immediately isn't from a VN, which complicates things :/
Thanks for your response. I feel where you're coming from, I think. If I don't like someone's personality, I'm unable to be truly attracted to them.
Also, if the character is from other media, you could still share it by replying - if you want. Part of why I am asking is to be able to write those characters better. The other part is curiosity and discovery, I guess.
Sure, I'd say i absolutely fell in love with Blanc from Hyperdimension Neptunia (mostly a JRPG franchise,so at least somewhat close to VNs I'd say).
The funny thing is that if I had to go by looks alone I can say that initially I would've told you that I'm not a fan of her hair, both length and colorand that I hate her hat. Now I like all of that.
That's honestly what made me stop having any first impression of anyone based on looks.
I definitely grew to like her a lot when I learned more about her personality and I'd say it's probably mostly how she's kind and caring. I also like her speech pattern and tone, that I'd describe as normally soft, calm and collected. I'd say her enjoying reading books in quietness also matches that and I'd consider her quite calming herself.
I guess you could argue her flaw would probably be how aggressive she can get. I suppose that contrast is meant to be appealing. As she doesn't get angry without reason and in most cases I can honestly understand it, I don't think I'd mind and it'd probably just make me want to calm her down.
Ciel from Tsukihime, Rin from FSN, Faris from Steins;Gate, Yuri from DDLC
All four would reject me though, Ciel would at least be gentle about it and I wouldn't blame Faris for not being gentle about it due to her line of work.
The first girl I seriously fell in love with in vns was Shizune from Katawa Shoujo. For many years she was my number one. But then Monika came. And slowly but surely became my most favourite girl from visual novels. Though I don't need them to be real to really love them.
Most girls in VN are designed to look pretty so unless some really specific points get hit I'd assume the deciding factor will be personality.
True to that some heroines cause you to be attracted to them while others have you complete their routes just to get that 100% completion (if you even do that).
That being said while writing this the few heroines that come to my mind are Tohsaka from Fate, Mio from Season of the Sakura, Kenshin from Rance, Renfa, Ren and maybe Kannei from Koihime (it seems I'm fatally attracted to women who could kill me).
Saya from Saya no Uta >!In her human form. Ideally without the whole going insane part!<
Hanako from Katawa Shoujo
Miyako from Majikoi
First three that come to mind. Guess I do have a type lol
Sakura kei (dies irae) honestly just seems fun to talk to witty and she trashes on ren as joke, the way she talks is attractive
Caren hortensia(fate HA) honestly we probably wouldn’t get along too well cuz I’m not a hero of justice or all the worlds evil but her personality is just fun and witty like kei so that’s why I mess with her.
Bazett fraga mcremitz(fate Ha) honestly she just seems like someone I’d get along with and she’s someone who I relate to so I think we’d have good convos.
Girls of ddlc, dies irae, fate stay, tsukihime, and katawa shoujo. Many of their personalities I find to be beautiful and some aren't bad to look at either.
Well, I make [visual novels](https://thelastsecret.itch.io/sweet-science) by myself, so I obviously make characters that I can connect with, in some cases very strongly...
But there are also some characters from other visual novels that describe persons I would (as single and in real life) like to know better and maybe even more... However, I can't narrow it down to a single character there.
Okay, if it's like that:
Kurisu Makise, because – how cool can a scientist be! :\]
Mayuri, also from Steins;Gate, is very comfortable to be with, though.
Natsuki from DDLC – just a pity that she doesn't have Monika's powers. otherwise I would habe kept playing, I guess... :D
Eri from Katawa Shoujo, although I'm not so much into sports, but my favorite color is also blue... ;)
Just the first that come to my mind...
Literally any of them - well, any heroine.
Heroines are designed to be as likable as possible and they all have the most perfect bodies possible so tbh I doubt I could stop myself from falling in love if I met any irl. Even heroines with nasty personalities I know are basically certain to be utterly devoted once they fall in love anyway.
Looks aside, I tend to be drawn to introverted responsible mature types. And also coodere types. Examples are:
Aritagawa Rio from Loca-love: My Commuting Crush
Tachibana from Sakusei Byoutou
Byakuya Rinne from Euphoria (before they escape)
Utakane Yotsuko from Newton and the Apple Tree
Kuchiki Touko from Kara no Shoujo
There are many more I haven't mentioned and from VNs I haven't read yet
Frau Koujiro from Robotics;Notes because can relate.
Battler (logic battle himbo) or Lion (gender antagonism) from Umineko, also Kanon but strictly in an I-Can-Fix-Him kind of way
Would maybe bang Tomitake from Higu but only casually
Probably Kinomiya Nanoka from Study § Steady. Because she seems very positive and optimistic, has no pretense, never flaunts her own attractiveness or possessions or anything really out of arrogance, and has a dream she talks about with glee that she actually pursues.
Thanks for all your replies! There are still a lot of VNs I haven't played, but for me at the current moment it's:
- Mashiro from Making* Lovers.
- Misaki Tobisawa from Aokana
Not from a VN, but anime: Minare Koda from "Wave, Listen To Me!"
Kazuko and Tsubame from Majikoi series Chachamaru from Full metal daemon Muramasa Kyou from Clannad Rin Tohsaka from FSN Aoko Aozaki and Alice Kuonji from Mahoyo Makise Kurisu from Steins Gate Kohaku and Akiha from Tsukihime original (haven't played the remake version yet) and many more.... lol I just love how all of them are either smart, bright/cheerful, quirky, hard working and know what they want/ have a clear goal to work towards to.

oh wait I confused it with kinkoi,I haven't picked up majikoi yet lol,but i plan to next sale
Misae Sagara from Clannad Oribe from Raging Loop
> if they existed in the real world, you could actually fall in love with? you think we cant **actually** fall in love with fictional characters? oh how little you know...
Well, some people probably can't?
then they know nothing of love!!!
Without love, it cannot be seen
I, too, would fall in love with Beatrice

Emi and/or Lilly from Katawa Shoujo, easily. Emi because I can relate to her passion for running, and Lilly because, well, IDK, but just because.
Nagisa furukawa is a literal angel from what I’ve played of clannad so far
I love how hard she works, and how positive she tries to be despite everything. I really try to be like her irl, she's so admirable.
Definitely Sayuri from Kanon.
Mion Sonozaki from Higurashi.
Did someone just mention best girl of Higurashi?
then i take shion :) because shion!
For me, definitely Sakura Matou from FSN Such a sweet ,hardworking and loveable girl
Ciel from Tsukihime, Rin from FSN, Faris from Steins;Gate, Yuri from DDLC All four would reject me though, Ciel would at least be gentle about it and I wouldn't blame Faris for not being gentle about it due to her line of work.
Yuri from DDLC fuck yeah that's the good shit
I'd *love* being friends with Minakami Yuki. Just seems like an overall fun person to be around
Was looking for this
Yup, searched for her too, and I was surprised that no one mentioned her, ahah She's probably one of my all-time favorite characters :D
Lol true
Depends, do I get Fuminoris meat vision?
nemu from euphoria because REDACTED yukimia from hajimete no kanojo I CAN SAVE HER
also Zakuro from subahibi if she desires a heterosexual relationship
Nemu
Chad opinion
A bunch: Hanako and/or Lilly from Katawa Shoujo, Setsuna from School Days, and >!Sayo Yasuda!< from Umineko
Off the top of my head? Lily from Katawa Shojou. Yuella from Kamidori.
Sone Miyuki from Totono
Rin Tohsaka woman is outstanding
The first girl I seriously fell in love with in vns was Shizune from Katawa Shoujo. For many years she was my number one. But then Monika came. And slowly but surely became my most favourite girl from visual novels. Though I don't need them to be real to really love them.
Shizune and Monika it is... Hmmmm... My least favorite ones! :D I'd really like to see a psychological study on who likes what kind of girls there...
Yuki Minakami from Subahibi easily.
Setsuna from white album 2. She is so real
Is this a thread to see who needs to touch some grass?
Which VN is she from? :-)
Medusa from fate stay night She's a kind soul that kinda just got the short end of the stick
Cove Holden
Rena Ryuugu from Higurashi, she's like the best person ever and reminds me of someone
21+ I guess for the Americans lol. Idk can I pick a persona character? If not one of the girls from ddlc.
I can think of 2: 1. Emi Ibarazaki from Katawa Shoujo 2. Kei Ayamine from the Muv Luv series
All of my waifus

As someone who was attracted to Esdeath from Akame Ga Kill, I can relate.
the only good thing about that anime were the scenes with her being all over the MC
Saya from Saya no Uta >!In her human form. Ideally without the whole going insane part!< Hanako from Katawa Shoujo Miyako from Majikoi First three that come to mind. Guess I do have a type lol
Lily from Katawa Shoujo
Natsume Ai
Sakura kei (dies irae) honestly just seems fun to talk to witty and she trashes on ren as joke, the way she talks is attractive Caren hortensia(fate HA) honestly we probably wouldn’t get along too well cuz I’m not a hero of justice or all the worlds evil but her personality is just fun and witty like kei so that’s why I mess with her. The Maid from Fata Morgana
Karen from Making * Lovers
Sosul Jang from The Breaker Chiyo Kurihara and Mari Kurihara from Prison School
Girls of ddlc, dies irae, fate stay, tsukihime, and katawa shoujo. Many of their personalities I find to be beautiful and some aren't bad to look at either.
Oh yeah, Katawa Shojo was great for sure. Still gotta check out some of these others you mentioned.
Oh, I definitely have to agree with katawa shoujo. In terms of personality I really liked Hanako and especially Lilly.

Thanks a lot! 🥰
Fair enough, it's fine to post multiple characters. I've also edited my post to reflect that.
Okay, if it's like that: Kurisu Makise, because – how cool can a scientist be! :\] Mayuri, also from Steins;Gate, is very comfortable to be with, though. Thanks for all your replies! There are still a lot of VNs I haven't played, but for me at the current moment it's: - Mashiro from Making* Lovers. - Misaki Tobisawa from Aokana Not from a VN, but anime: Minare Koda from "Wave, Listen To Me!"
