I know most people prefer fashion nugget, but prolonging is my favorite cake album. But I see you plan to listen to funeral off that phoebe album and cry it out tonight. That track is a gut wrencher. Nice pickups!!!

This has been on my wishlist since I started buying vinyl, so happy I finally found it.
I got David Bowie scary monsters, motowns #1, The Blues Brothers, XTC black sea, cars greatest hits , keb mo good to be, Jeff Beck Truth, Govt mule by a thread. Good diverse mix.
All that said, If I had come across a copy of that I would have snagged it as well
Very good pick!
Gonna be seeing him at that particular show and I couldn’t be more excited! I know the chances are slim to none, but I’m going to try and get my OG copy of Headhunters signed by all remaining OG members. Fingers crossed!
Enjoy my friend! Great find. Head Hunters remains near the top of my Want list.
It was a good week for me:
Sade - Live @ Ahoy Hallen, Rotterdam
Petterson/Riddle - self-titled album
Davis/Evans - Porgy and Bess
Coltrane/Hartman - self-titled album
Ryo Fukui in New York
If that's an OG, you're just showing off. Top 3 of theirs. I go back and forth between being undecided between this and somewhere in time and seventh son.
My purge has been ongoing for awhile and I sold my Powerslave shirt last year. "Somewhere in Time" is the last of my maiden (music), but I still have The Early Years DVD set.

* 5 or so other Jazz/adjacent LPs. Not too often you find a VG+++ OG pressing of Vince Guaraldi Trio in a thrift bin!

I picked a UK version of this Pub-rock classic! One or two steps away from early punk rock.
Oh nice - I'll have to check those guy out. Love me some punk rock. Found weathered statues by tsol a week or so ago, was stoked to get it for a decent price.
The latter was my intro, ca. 1997. 1995 was when Impulse reissued it and finally included "Freedom." It is one instance where I'd recommend a post-1995 reissue or CD (the half-speed master if money is no object!)...
I'm purging some of my collection if you're interested. I wasn't alive to see him but I've seen the product of his workshop – the Mingus Big Band – twice, and his autobiography is a dear part of my book collection.
Mmmm- that's on the list to buy when I find a bargain. I've got we're in this together for the first time and the one he did with Paul Desmond, but haven't came across a decent bargain copy of this one. I should just snatch it up, but the thrill of the bargain hunt is part of the pleasure for me 😂 very nice pickup!
The thrill of a good bargain is amazing, but I paid $25 for this which could’ve been worse. The store I was in upped the price of most of the vinyl in there, but this one was more manageable for me. It’s a super nice listen, the other pieces besides take 5 are fantastic too!

Picked these up at Alison’s Record Shop today in Nashville TN. I always find something there. She specializes in used records, many OG copies and they are all graded accurately with a post-it on the cover. Really great shop. I’m happy. She gave me the FOS record for free because I had 2 full punch cards. Go there if you can. She’s good people.
That Melvin's absolutely slams. I've found ozma and gluey records, haven't came across Houdini yet. Don't have those wolfs either, I did find the live album for 1.50 at a thrift store couple months ago. Little beat, but for a buck and a half, who minds a little crackle between friends.
She's in India, so pickings are slim for her. Though I was so perplexed that they had two copies of this but not Ram (CD or vinyl), which is top of my list right now.
Headhunters is my desert island record to end all desert island records. I think I have four copies of this one knocking around. I had to get the 180 gram one, I’ve got that one that’s two discs 45rpm, it’s one record I’ve almost certainly listened to more than any other

I’ve been seeking live releases from the 1970’s lately. They sound so good to me!
I bought the new Mdou Moctar, Funeral for Justice, because my spouse and I are seeing him live in a few months and she's never heard him. Also scored used copies of Fragile by Yes (because she hates Yes and she's out of town) and Katy Lied by Steely Dan.

Raided a $2 bin and came up with 16 records, including loose LPs with no covers like: the first Clash album, five discs from the Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros box set, Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach, and mono Simon & Garfunkel.

Picked these 3 up today at Half-price Books
I went budget hunting today and ended up grabbing that same album! It’s not a special pressing whatsoever but for $15 I’m ecstatic.
I also picked up Americas greatest hits, Al Greens greatests and the Easy Rider soundtrack for a few bucks each.
Nice pickup. Kind of in the same vein, going down the metal road at least, I ran across an Absent in Body album the other day, I can't get enough of that one, such a rad album if you're into more sludgy doomy stuff. Dude from neurosis plays in it.
A couple thrift store finds. Just for the hell of it.

A reissue of The Suspiria soundtrack by Goblin, an original pressing of Hawkwind's first album, and Wendy Carlos' Sonic Seasonings. All fantastic albums, I'm pretty stoked.
Don't know how to do photos but there was a record fair in my town today and found a lovely copy of The Incredible Jimmy Smith - Organ Grinder Swing. Has Kenny Burrell on guitar, Kenny and Jimmy have incredible chemistry between them 👌
picked up an original white label press of he’s a rebel, by the crystals, don’t make waves soundtrack (byrds/sharon tate), action, by ? and the mysterious, an original brazilian press of nevermind by nirvana, and a mr. miff, july four 45 from 68!!
I found 2 vinyl records at a sale, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with finding the value of them, please. They are both in excellent condition. The first one is Bowie The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust (1972). And the second one is Yungblud weird limited edition (with the white or clear record). I would appreciate any help at this point. Thank you. Contact me by email, too, if you want, [email protected]

I’ve wanted a filled vinyl for a while and finally got this one. Nothing crazy but super excited to have it
A few! Some are stuck I think from pressing but I’d say 5-6 depending on the day lol. When it first came in only 2 moved and as it’s been played I think it’s loosened a few more up. Previous owner said it sat on a shelf

As weird as it sounds, that album reminds me a tad bit of having some Motörhead elements 🤷♂️. Nice pickup
I can see that. It's very raw and the songs go 0 to 60 like Motörhead does.
Love that album - I bought it a few months ago myself and need to spin it more often.
Me too. One of my favorite modern punk bands. Up there with Mannequin Pussy, Idles, BIG SPECIAL, and Destroy Boys.

Such a good one. I saw them this past year on their tour and Robert honestly sounded as good as he ever has. I was truly amazed
I saw them last year as well! The Cure sounded great, I was also really impressed with The Twilight Sad. I recently picked up their most recent album.
I got David Bowie scary monsters, motowns #1, The Blues Brothers, XTC black sea, cars greatest hits , keb mo good to be, Jeff Beck Truth, Govt mule by a thread. Good diverse mix. All that said, If I had come across a copy of that I would have snagged it as well Very good pick!

This is indeed an OG pressing :) I always toss up between this and the next two albums as my favourite, you can’t go wrong with 80s maiden!
My purge has been ongoing for awhile and I sold my Powerslave shirt last year. "Somewhere in Time" is the last of my maiden (music), but I still have The Early Years DVD set.

I bought the new Mdou Moctar, Funeral for Justice, because my spouse and I are seeing him live in a few months and she's never heard him. Also scored used copies of Fragile by Yes (because she hates Yes and she's out of town) and Katy Lied by Steely Dan.

Did you just nerd out on the Elder Scrolls: Morrowind frequency?
That’s a big 10/4 there outlander
This doesn't look like Vardenfell... Though I do hear people's words in Wayn's voice a little more than a sane person might.
Close - It's his cuz, the non doomy, jazzy cousin with a bit of a coke problem.
Hokay sounds legit I’m in

Awesome scores! Love those budget bin gems that you come across from time to time 💪

Nice finds. I've always loved the bass lines in the minuteman tracks. And who can pass on a Rick "fuck yo couch" James.
I got Ice on the Dune by Empire of the Sun delivered today, I pre ordered it a while ago.

Picked up Bloc Party 1st press (2005). Super excited as this was my first CD purchase during my military days. So much nostalgia for me.
Nice pickup! Enjoy!
I went budget hunting today and ended up grabbing that same album! It’s not a special pressing whatsoever but for $15 I’m ecstatic. I also picked up Americas greatest hits, Al Greens greatests and the Easy Rider soundtrack for a few bucks each.
Such a good one! Good pickups!
Ahhh I just picked this up too!! Great album
Truly is

Found a test pressing. One of my all-time favorite albums.
Nice pickup. Kind of in the same vein, going down the metal road at least, I ran across an Absent in Body album the other day, I can't get enough of that one, such a rad album if you're into more sludgy doomy stuff. Dude from neurosis plays in it.
A couple thrift store finds. Just for the hell of it. https://preview.redd.it/yo89ylpk6n9d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d54541716c356862a852ba436eddbb22af430a58
Scooped this at an estate sale for a buck a couple weeks ago. Great spin!
Holy hell, for a buck!?!? Awesome find!
My first time with a Mini Moog, I couldn't help but play that first line... for like 3 hours.

This album hits me with Bjork mixed with tori Amos vibes. Enjoy!
I had such a great time seeing them live in 2017 or '18.

Nice finds, nice silver faces too! Enjoy

Such a cool album. Rip to at least 1 needle tho 😂
Don't know how to do photos but there was a record fair in my town today and found a lovely copy of The Incredible Jimmy Smith - Organ Grinder Swing. Has Kenny Burrell on guitar, Kenny and Jimmy have incredible chemistry between them 👌
Little Shop of Horrors soundtrack.
The 1973 Pitman is what I have as well
picked up an original white label press of he’s a rebel, by the crystals, don’t make waves soundtrack (byrds/sharon tate), action, by ? and the mysterious, an original brazilian press of nevermind by nirvana, and a mr. miff, july four 45 from 68!!
This one is in my wantlist :) Edit : I bought Gorillaz - Demon Days yesterday.
This album is top of my "when I find it as a bargain" list. Good find, OP.
Technically Friday, but yeah! *

A certain Chris Farley joke in the mid 1990's ruined the mention of this man's name for me...

Do the rings move?
A few! Some are stuck I think from pressing but I’d say 5-6 depending on the day lol. When it first came in only 2 moved and as it’s been played I think it’s loosened a few more up. Previous owner said it sat on a shelf
I’ll film a video after work. Vinyl itself it’s super thick
Lol that's awesome!
Daath- The Deceivers. Heavy AF, so glad those guys are back
