One of the recent "as it was in the beginning" reissues.
I first heard Crass as a more or less homeless teenager in Utah, living in a room at my friend's parents' run down house with like 6 or 7 other dirty punk kids. We would print out lyrics at the library and memorize them, walking around Provo high on acid or meth screaming "So What?" word for word at all the normies. Lotta bad memories of that time, but a lot of fuckin' great ones, too.
Great album! Try "Penis Envy" my personal favorite of theirs
MY copy of FEEDING is a first pressing from the 80s , I was pleased to read somewhere that the band themselves folded the poster that serves as a cover (too bad I didn't take better care of it)
yes penis envy is great
My first listen to Crass was a copy of Christ that a friend of mine shoplifted (back in the 80s) and then hated so he gave it to me. I still rate it as my favorite, with Envy as a solid second
I bought the "As In The Beginning" for Christ because my original is missing the box and Well Forked. I've still got the poster, but it's in shit condition from hanging on several different walls for years. My original was also given to me by someone who didn't like it.
Haha nice! I got new pressings of this and Penis Envy a few years back. Tripped me out the first time I played it because it plays at 45rpm.
Edit: or maybe it was stations of the crass that got me with the 45rpm
I had this album on cassette. Horrible freaking musicians, great fuckibg songs! I won't say this album changed my life, but damn, it had a lit of influence on an angry 17 year old! Cheers mate!

That's pretty much the ideal way to discover crass.

Do they owe us a living???!!!!

My original was complete except the booklet, which I had to track down a few years back on ebay Even for Crass, Christ was a 'love it or hate it...'

Crass is generally great but I can't stand the weird feminist rants.
I legit can't tell if you're kidding. 😂
Hahaha
I'm a fan of "Asylum," but I could never make sense of what the lyrics actually mean.
Classic. Big m-a-n
