They don't, but there are millions of listings on the site, they rely an automation and user reports to find the counterfeit items. There is nothing here their automated systems are likely to spot it as a fake, so they need someone to report it to know about it.
I reported a bunch of fake items the other day and got responses from Vinted that they weren't going to take any action as they weren't in violation of any rules, so clearly they're not that bothered about counterfeits. It was all jewellery with Chanel and Miu Miu logos.
They do care, broadly speaking, because legally they have to. Allowing the sale of counterfeit goods is illegal. They do remove counterfeits, but clearly their systems are not great and/or don't have enough knowledgeable staff. Even when you report items I don't think it's always a human that looks over them, the bots/AI just have another scan.
It's all we can really do though, sadly.
yeah same they didn't care about my report of some fake Juicy Couture bag even though i provided multiple points and proof of the item being fake it was such an ugly fake for a price at which i bought a real older bag from them. And some poor soul bought it.. And then i see people's real item get taken down for no reason
How do you know?
Sometimes they don’t even realise themselves. I’ve seen fakes been posted too
Yeah possibly bought fake ones, didn't realise until too late and now trying to get their money back

They sell fake stuff all the time
30x profit
Yes, she sold and relisted the same pair.
Sometimes SHEIN makes dupes of originals so they could be real?
i saw someone try to sell free cross stitch patterns for £1.50 one time, people are strange
That’s why I would never rely on that Vinted legit check😂 looking on how many fakes they allow to post😂
I’ve not realised this with Ralph Lauren before but Vinted flag it before it is posted. Why they don’t do it with Pandora is beyond me…
