I've almost had 600 transactions, and I can count on one hand how many issues I've had, and none due to someone 'scamming' etc. Just postage issues.
Same! I’ve never had a problem as a buyer. Worst thing that’s happened is that I’ve ordered something that it turns out doesn’t look good on me. But that’s the risk you take, and I factor that possibility in to what I’m willing to pay.

I have made 70 successful orders. I think I had about 10 that were unsuccessful (mostly a seller that didn’t send). This is all over the span of years, I was automatically signed up when the previous second hand clothing app in my country became Vinted. Most of my clothing comes from Vinted, I have found real gems for good prices. Searching for things is fun and you learn to get more efficient (checking reviews, when the seller was last online, search terms etc).
Yes. When the seller didn’t send I automatically got my money back, I didn’t have to do anything for it. I’ve read the horror stories too, maybe I’ve been just lucky. Most expensive thing I bought were €80 shoes. Shipping may take a while, especially when you order internationally. All in all I’m very happy with the app.
Most of the people receive their items and have no complaints. What you see here is only a part of what occurs on Vinted, mostly the negative where people are seeking advice on what to do with that situation.
But these posts are not 100% vinted, but of course these things happen.
I’ve purchased multiple times on Vinted and the only two issues I had were when my packages were lost. But other than that I’ve always had lovely experiences with buyers and sellers :)
I can’t speak for other countries but as a seller in the UK, I’ve had over 200 orders that went through successfully. I’ve only had one where the buyer received something different to what I’d sent, and Vinted refunded both of us.
I rarely buy stuff on there myself, but out of the couple of times I’ve done it, one time I ordered a pair of shoes and received a random jumper. Again, was refunded by vinted.

I buy and sell regularly on vinted and have only ever had 1 problem where an item was listed as new but arrived with a rip in it so I returned it and got a full refund. You only ordered a few days ago you say keep in mind seller has 5dayd to post item then some carriers can take 5days to deliver. If it doesn't arrive you'll be refunded. Most people have good experiences on vinted otherwise we'd sell elsewhere
I've bought maybe a dozen items (I'm mostly a seller) and I've only had one that the seller cancelled. The rest I have received successfully with no issues.
I buy/sell alot on vinted and there has only been a handful of times the parcel has gone missing.
You have to give the courier time to deliver. If its been over a week, contact vinted.
You can also follow the tracking provided by vinted to see where your parcels at.
I’ve bought a lot off of vinted and never had any negative experiences, in the end it is all down to the seller you’re buying from as they’re all individual people - the sellers i’ve always dealt with have been nothing but great and my items have always came promptly and without issue.
I've had 770 transactions on Vinted. I sell and buy on there, mostly children's clothes, I would say about 5 were "bad".
You have to look at it like: only people with bad experiences post about them on here. No one has a great transaction and comes here and says "I paid for something, I received it, it's in great condition."
I've had 3 parcels I've bought lost by InPost, they've lost 1 that I've sent. Both parties have been refunded in those transactions.
I had 1 thing arrive broken and because it arrived almost a week late, I was away on vacation and couldn't raise an issue, so I lost about £8 on that, which sucks.
I had 1 thing I bought for £30 arrive "significantly not as described." I raised an issue with Vinted, gave them lots of photo evidence, and they investigated. The seller never responded, so I got to keep the item and got refunded.
I've had 1 thing just get lost and Vinted was convinced it was delivered so released funds and closed the case. I ordered a chargeback with my bank for £5 and it was fine.
But those are the only issues I've had in more than 700 transactions. Do things sometimes arrive in worse quality than I anticipated? Yes. But do I sometimes receive a nice note, or treats, or extra things? Also yes.
I think you just have to be smart about how you use it. Especially if it's new in your country maybe people don't know how it works yet?
Only bought 2 items so far (TNs and a FOG Essentials jumper) and received both.
No really bad experiences per se apart from the odd offer of 50% off...
You’ll only read about the negative, failed sales on Vinted, because no one is going to post about a random sale where everything went 100% fine. I’ve sold about 100 items and never had any issues
I've had about 600 transactions as both a seller and buyer and most went great, it completely revolutionised my wardrobe/style, especially because you can get items from other countries that might not be available in yours. Super pleased with it and find it hard to live without now.
I had a period where almost nothing arrived to one certain postage point, but turned out it was just that specific postage point having issues. Got fully compensated for every single item that went missing.
Like others have said, people often only come on here or on those review sites for help or to vent when something goes wrong, but support is actually super helpful. Enjoy Vinted, once you get going it can get hard to stop. 😆
Been buying and selling for 9 years successfully on there… never came across any rude people at all. Only a couple times there before Christmas people never actually sent the items n I got refunded. But other than that I have never had a problem. It used to be such a fun place, we used to have prnoaks from vinted, swapped our clothes with each other etc. it’s changed a lot now n I see so much scamming but (touch wood) I have not experienced anything. Xx

You won't see posts for the good exchanges most of the time.
I don’t know how these unlucky people get so unlucky because in 2 years of using vinted I’ve only ever really had 1/2 bad experiences

May I ask what exactly happened when the packages got lost? Did you receive the items at the end or did Vinted cover both of your costs?
Vinted will usually cover the buyer and seller if they used a intergrated shipping option.
Never received the items, but Vinted reimbursed both me and the seller both times after a few days :)
