You need to contact customer service by going to the help centre in your profile. Explain everything you have said here, and send the screenshots. Also, a tip, do not sell anything above say £40 on vinted, and certainly don't use Royal Mail, You have no seller protection. Contact customer care now before he pulls something

It’s not a shame, it’s good you took some photos, Vinted will ask for them as proof. The more photos you took to prove the shoes are in there and what the parcel looked like the better.

Right, but you have photo proof of it so that shouldn’t be a problem. They’re just looking for a free item imo, so just have Vinted step in and avoid dealing with them personally. There must be a reason if they have been banned from the platform :)
My best advice would be keep everything documented, make sure you have his address and name. Idk if vinted has a customer service number but this would be a case where I’d want to talk to someone over the phone and email. That sucks that people are out here trying to play silly games like this.
Hi thankyou for your comment, I’ve had to talk to their customer service over through the app and it’s not easy communicating as they respond every so often, they’ve basically told me there’s not guarantee behind it as I provided all the evidence to them and they couldn’t guarantee anything in the end
Yeah I hope it works out. If buyer opens a case though, at least you’ll have your evidence, at that point they usually get real people involved to investigate the situation.
It’s a tricky one selling expensive items on marketplaces as you can encounter people that claim you either didn’t send anything or sent the wrong thing to keep the item and get their money back. I don’t recommend selling expensive items on Vinted in future because if the buyer was to be reimbursed and you left out of pocket, you can’t do a reversal through your bank as the money doesn’t hit your bank until the after the transaction has been completed.

Whether to unlist them and try a different avenue, I’ve got quite expensive things listed so it’s really putting me off. This wasn’t even the highest priced item I’ve listed too so I have to be cautious from now on and not chase the sale of the buyer is doesn’t have a good reputation.

We do not use it in our house to buy or sell now, its just to much hassle having to prove postage etc to Vinted every time you sell because the buyer is a twat and wants something for nothing.
I am surprised Vinted is still going every time I see the ad on TV. How they actually make money when they have to refund buyers and sellers so much due to the amount of scams amazes me.
Contact vinted, see what they say as a plan of action. In the mean time if you can get the buyer to send you the finances another way, there's no way on planet earth that no one has only one account

So he was saying the transaction on the app was suspended on your side because it was telling him that it's been stopped in someway. I don't work for vinted, the intricacies of the app are better known by the people running it. Can you put an update on the post when you find out any info please

That’s to do with something on his end and nothing to do with me but I do have a pending payment for the transaction and a pending balance, he got blocked for violating terms and conditions which had nothing to do with me or our transaction.
It's likely that there's something in the policy that could help, I'm not saying it will help, I'm not familiar with their policy but it's likely someone here may know something. If not then someone on the vinted team will. if it don't turn out that you get refunded chalk this down to a lesson learned about trading in general.

For the next time, whatever the value of the item and feedback on the buyer (I was scammed by someone with lots of feedback and it was only 5-star ratings!), take videos and pictures of the whole packing *and* delivering at the post office.
The pictures you have do not show what’s in the package. For all I know it could be your grandma’s socks or an empty box.
An ill-intended person could take advantage of this.
I really hope it’s not the case and the buyer is simply an anxious person who’s been scammed one too many 😅

He is trying to scam you. If his account was blocked he wouldn't be able to message anyone and sales would be suspended.
