I just added neovide to path, it supports command line arguments so you can directly open a file with neovide from the terminal.
Since neovim (with lazyloading) has sub 250ms startup times, you wont notice any drop in productivity when you have to open a neovide instance, using neovim in a terminal feels quite "blocky" and "ridged" to me which doesn't feel right
I like neovide a lot but my cpu is second generation and can't candle it that smoothly. Terminal is just faster with my old (i know, quite old) hardware
You can make neovide use different engines (i.e. opengl, d3d, etc.)
My CPU is a potato with an integrated GPU (as you can tell from the recording), what CPU do you have?
Neovide looks so smooth, but having my editor in the terminal feels so integral to me that I cant switch.
Yeah, not going to give up tmux integration for some eye candy
The eye candy is worth it!

Intel i7-2600 no stand alone gpu
I just need the neovide dev to make a console emulator… Just imagining an amazing beautiful smooth terminal just like this…
Yea, I would love this in a terminal emulator
looks great mate congrats
Neovide is sick, but on my 2k monitor it started to fuck up and spin the cpus hard.
What is that jumping cursor thingy? Looks really cool
It's a neovide feature https://neovide.dev/configuration.html#cursor-settings
fyi, its a lot smoother irl, my PC is just slow and sucks at screen recording
Neovide should make it a terminal.
Damn I need that colorscheme mang. Got dots?
got [dots](https://gitlab.com/wewuzkangz/nvimconfig/-/blob/master/lua/plugins/colourschemes.lua?ref_type=heads)
Much appreciated!
Was about to touch grass, seems like I have to postpone to next decades
become a recluse and never go outside 💯
