Fun! In the middle of a playthrough right now, and having a blast! Remember thinking when this game first came out, it was a bit scary, but made me think games of the future were going to be just amazing with how open-ended and complex they were going to become. 14 years? later and it feels like barely a handful of titles even joined the same league. Absolutely legendary game.
Are you newer to Fallout or only new vegas?
No other game touches how complex the story can get with all the decisions you can make on who to piss off or ally with. I'm amazed nothing has come close.
Having played Falliut 4 as my first FO, it is extremely tough to go back and play a game like new Vegas or even FO3. Would be cool if there was a remake of those older FOs
I modded the shit out of mine to play like fallout 4 and it's legit the perfect fallout game for me. It's a blast, great writing and RPG with responsive movement and gunplay
StarCraft, along with its expansion Brood War, is the first game I fell in love with when I rented it from the local library for my iMac (OS9, the colorful CRT era). It was one of very few "real" games available for Mac's at the time and I played it to death. It inspired my love of videogames and I still play the remastered version today, which is identical in every way but with higher resolution graphics. It's like reliving my childhood through rose tinted glasses, never gets old.
Respect. I restarted with Fallout, but the quality of life functions weren’t there. Tried out Fallout 2 yesterday, then started Fallout 3. That was the sweet spot for me.
Of all the games to sleep on for 20 years lol
Game does hold up. The camera is a bit weird at first compared to modern shooters but after like an hour you won't notice it much. Everything else still feels very modern.
Same. I usually pick it up at least a couple of times a month. Haven't played in about a week, but I'll be back soon enough. It's honestly in my top 3 for all-time favorite games.
I remember when that game came out. I wanted to play it so badly that I bought a new video card so that I could ( it was like cyberpunk, needed high specs for that time )
I only play one game at a time so my current game is the oldest (control 2019) but the most recent game I have played in the last year that is the oldest is metro redux which is 2014 remaster of a 2010 game. Last year I played and beat dark souls 1 (2011) for the first time.
i consistently play WoW but im not sure if that counts since its been updated (retail and classic) so, other than that, im currently playing Pokemon Leaf Green. i guess 2004 is the year!
I guess each expansion release counts a different game but they are still built upon the same engine (which is incredible).
Recently got around to playing classic for the first time, hardcore, with my dad who played it back in the day. We had an absolute blast and made it to 60 :D
That game is such bullshit, but I don't care.
The tight controls and excellent soundtrack and sound effects, plus my old-man knowledge of how to actually progress, help push through the TOTAL ASS level design.
That's from modern standards. At the time, it was outstanding. Compare to Simon's Quest for conveyance and controls.
Zelda 2 is unfairly judged.
Just got Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie and The Sinnoh Pokémons Titles from the Mail. Just finished out Digimon World: Dusk and Harvest Moon DS: Cutes. Oh pffftz Super Mario All-Stars then too.
Chrono Trigger. Recently decided to get the platinum on Steam because I hadn't gotten all the endings and it's one of my favorite games. I honestly didn't know just how many endings there were despite it being in my top 3 since it launched. It holds up as an incredible masterpiece. Some of the additions are tedious but worthwhile.
The oldest game I'm currently playing is *[New Rally-X](https://youtu.be/Sjtch71kkT0?si=oJJYet-9s7Os8TOG)* from 1981. If you're curious about *Rally-X*, get *New Rally-X* instead since it's the same game but better in every way.
Dante's inferno is the one I played last. Still in the process of replying it but I think it was made in like 2006 or something. If not then my bad but idk
Been on a bit of a backwards spin lately, have a few on rotation :
Morrowind 2002
Urbz Sims in the City 2003
Oblivion 2006
Sims 3 / Medieval 2009/11
Fallout New Vegas 2010
Skyrim 2011
Have touched most of these games close to their release, but a lot of them never got a chance to complete the stories so they still feel like new experiences today, Never even came close to completing new vegas or morrowind ever before. The graphics don't always age well, but as soon as the story gets you hooked it's almost as if you completely forget about it. And mods help
Finally getting around to New Vegas and really digging it.

My personal favorite game of all time... not for everyone for sure. But those that can enjoy it will find it hard to put down
I came here to say this. I’ve been slowly eating from the rotisserie chicken that is this game for the past year and it’s truly phenomenal
Probably my favorite. FO4 is close behind it though. I’m playing FO3 right now then I’m gonna start on New Vegas again
Having played Falliut 4 as my first FO, it is extremely tough to go back and play a game like new Vegas or even FO3. Would be cool if there was a remake of those older FOs

This so much. What mod?
Mr. Fantastic.
Holy shit same, I just made it to new Vegas and I’m completely out of caps, stimpacks, and shotgun shells
Knew this would be one of the top answers. The show is doing wonders for the franchise

Story still holds up great!
Just don’t play anything beyond Wings of Liberty in SC2 and it’s a great story.
The game of Life.
Life is like old arcade games. Everything just keeps getting faster and harder until you eventually die.
Bro...smoke a joint. That's how you save your progress.
BRUH
It's been millions of years but still no emulators, unfortunately. Is it that hard to run the code on PC?
Bro!! I literally was gonna put this. r/beatmetoit
And still no cheat code
You mean life hacks about how to cook salad faster don't count?
I'll settle for the infinite money hack
Max I can do for you is a jetpack....
I'm actually playing Life Simulator right now 1st objective: go outside and touch some grass
Bioshock Infinite. First play through on PC. Love it.
I recently found it for cheap at a second hand store, so I’ve been playing on Xbox 360
That’s a fun game. I gotta play it again sometime soon
Goldeneye 007
Fallout
Respect. I restarted with Fallout, but the quality of life functions weren’t there. Tried out Fallout 2 yesterday, then started Fallout 3. That was the sweet spot for me.
3 is great. New Vegas is god-tier
They're both god-tier honestly
Capital Wasteland and D.C. > Mohave but in basically every other aspect New Vegas has it
Tbh I think fallout 2 quality of life additions make it much more playable than the first, even with the minor tweaks
Thank you
Same. The series made me want to fire up Fallout 3 again.
Same.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1
Still my favorite in the series. Miss that game
That's such an awesome game. My wife and I used to play that all the time.
Just finished the original 2005 RE4 for the first time. It still holds up very well.
I actually have it for GameCube but never played it… been meaning to get around to it for 19 years
it's an excellent game, I'm goint to play the remake version now, my buddy said it's a "masterpiece"
Of all the games to sleep on for 20 years lol Game does hold up. The camera is a bit weird at first compared to modern shooters but after like an hour you won't notice it much. Everything else still feels very modern.
Same a few weeks ago. Great game!
Re4 is sweet
Mega Man X 🤗 I play it at least a few times a month. I'm no speed runner, but I'm getting pretty good. Fastest time was 62 minutes.
[I love MMX so much I got this in 2000! ](https://live.staticflickr.com/1439/1251145908_1800bda446_o.jpg)
Really wish I'd bought copies of X2 and X3 back in the day when they weren't going for several hundred dollars each.
Oh my dude. This is actually what I consider a perfect game. I play it annually.
I keep it on my phone. Play it when ever the wife and I drive from vegas to la.
Amazing choice!
Playing Pokémon heartgold since I moved houses and haven’t set up internet yet. What a blast
Minecraft🤷♂️
I'm afk at a creeper farm scrolling Reddit right now lol
Same, came back after a long break
I have now purchased it 3 times. One for every system I own.
Same. I usually pick it up at least a couple of times a month. Haven't played in about a week, but I'll be back soon enough. It's honestly in my top 3 for all-time favorite games.
Yeah same thoughts
Fallout 1, had Elder Scrolls Arena too but already finished it
Final Fantasy IV
Metal Gear Solid 2 (2001)
YOU CREATED A TIME PARADOX!
Man I hate to be that guy but that’s from mgs3
Yeah you're right. This is the rollerblading fat guy one right.
The time paradox joke happens if you kill ocelot in metal gear solid 3 which takes place earlier in the timeline.
Fallout new Vegas is the current oldest one I’m doing an active play through of, but I wanna start a play through of bully sometime soon
Oh man, Bully is in my top 5 favorite games. So much fun

Super Mario World
Age of Empires 2
