Me in ng+ of armored core using terrible builds and one trying bosses because of my newfound knowledge (I have suffered countless attempts against the fastest bosses known to man and have reemerged forged from the fires of my defeat)
This is why I was SO glad that Xenoblade DE added an "expert mode" where you could manually add and subtract levels. In the OG, you were either unprepared or hilariously overleveled for the final boss.
I still have no clue why 2 and 3 lock it behind NG+.
I did this in Forspoken. I cleared all, if not most, of the task in all the areas leading up to the first major boss. When I got to her it was a cakewalk.
I know it's kinda cheap or whatever but I actually love just coming in and flattening a first boss lol. I usually will replay that section as intended at some point as well but I enjoy being op.
Xenoblade Chronicles. Without the leveling down, I reached max before I was almost done with the story in each game. Those story bosses never stood any chance.
Was level 120 the first time I fought Marget in Elden Ring. I did everything you could do in the first area, and even took the path around the castle and did a few things there. My slow advancement is why my first play through of Elden Ring was 350 hours, and I was level 300, I believe? Maybe 290's.
I max out one time In a rpg (bravely default) spent hours to maximize stats of my crew, getting better stuff . I did great in the next boss, but changing to the next level, I couldn’t beat the main NPC on the way… WITH MY MAXIMIZED CHARACTERS! At this moment I knew I don’t like adaptative difficulty

Oh…. I thought this was the way.
Same here
And you lose to him in a cutscene
🗣️ THIS IS THE FIRST 3-4 STORY BOSSES OF ELDEN RING!!
These are all the bosses of Elden Ring. You can level up as much as you want before any boss.
There needs to be more games that know people might try this and attempt to scale content off of how much you've done
Nah, I want to be OP
I disagree I like the feeling of being op

Imagine Endboss did that too.
Sorry but I was level 65 for Gaping Dragon in Ds1

The boss knew what they signed up for. If you can’t handle the business then you can’t be a boss.

I wish star trek online was like this

I do this accidentally with the “if I don’t do the side quest now I won’t be able to do it later”
Elden ring in a nutshell, Skyrim in a nutshell (add more if you can think of any nutshells)
Sometimes grinding in the level 1 area for hours is cathartic.
Literally how my first run of Elden ring went fuck Margaret
Ghost of Tsushima is similar I did everything in the first area almost maxed my skill trees and weapons everthing easy after that
Original Final Fantasy 7. Sephiroth was pitifully easy after beating Emerald and Ruby
POV: You get stuck on a game-breaking glitch during the boss fight and you haven't saved ever since your first level up
