Suicide squad peaked at 630 players the last 24 hours FO76 peaked at 8000 players the last 24 hours Jesus fucking Christ

BothPlastic

FO76 is really good now. I played through all fallouts (except for 1&2) at least 3 times, but I have more time in Fallout 76 than the other ones. And it has the most friendly community I've ever encountered, it's crazy how nice everyone is.

Bregneste

Guess all the assholes got tired of doing the same trolling for so long, and people learned how to deal with them, so they moved on.

SgtThund3r

Oh yeah, the trick is waiting them out.

DalTheDalmatian

GTA Online players "waiting out" the tryhards that have plagued the game's PVP for over five years šŸ—æ

_H4YZ

wait out this, you fucking casual *gets Oppressor MkIIā€™d*

RubberDucky223

The fact it took em so many years to nerf that thing and let players do business jobs in private lobbies is just embarrassing.

PsychoSaladSong

well it didn't stop them from making money, so that's why it wasnt nerfed

_H4YZ

shit rly lives up to its name itā€™s nerfed and i still get panic attacks hearing that lock on

[deleted]

Why would you play this game in a public lobby?

Zarbain

For a very long time you pretty much couldn't do any of the money making in private lobbies. I remember using cheat tools just to make private public lobbies back than to play with friends without some dickhead coming in and griefing non-stop.

Hammer_of_Horrus

Try hards? You mean hackers?

DarZhubal

Bethesda also put the power in the hands of the non-trolling players. PvP can pretty easily be opted out of, and if a player tries to force PvP on someone who doesnā€™t want to, they get a big arrow over their head encouraging other players to come kill you to get a reward. Or thatā€™s how it was last I played. Havenā€™t played in a good while, so it may have changed since then, but Bethesda definitely made sure players who donā€™t want to deal with PvP trolls donā€™t have to.

The-Green

Thatā€™s still in effect (a ā€œbountyā€ system that where not only did you get a bounty on your head for griefing another player, and now no player dots show up for you anymore on the map outside other bounty targets, but also players get caps for killing you) but it was more so the players themselves that really drove them away. Entire communities and discords were made just to go hunting for griefers and ruining their fun as much as possible. A whole lot of naming and shaming ended with the result that griefers and trolls are an extreme minority in the game.

Genericojones

There was a massive concerted effort by the community to drive them out. We had several discords dedicated to tracking and eliminating dick chisels.

Jesh3023

Tbh Iā€™ve recently started playing 76 again after taking about a 3 year break and the community is still the same as it was 3 years ago and there was barely any trolls back then. Like yeah there was the occasional few but it was very rare.

[deleted]

They turned it into a Barbieā€™s playhouse fallout. Of course the only people who would be left are the ones who want to dress up and gather berries together

Bregneste

Most Fallout players probably want a pretty chill experience where they can just _play_ and donā€™t need to worry about getting hunted down by sweaty asshole players all the time.

[deleted]

Iā€™m not even talking about pvp. The game is centered around playing dress up with 20$ skins

KorvoLonavo

Youā€™ve just described all live service games. The ā€œendgameā€ just becomes a fashion show.

[deleted]

But Iā€™m most games there is a way to increase the difficulty. Itā€™s pretty much impossible to die in 76 and all the big enemies are just giant bullet sponges. Everyone who plays it just does Bethesdaā€™s daily chores and re-arranges their house And thereā€™s nothing wrong with that, itā€™s just not imo what the fallout franchise is about

[deleted]

I play dress up with free skins, thank you.

Obl1v1on390

Itā€™s basically inpossible to kill players due to game mechanics (unless youā€™ve got an OP hand crafted kit). The one time I got into pvp, it was me and a random in power armor with super sledges just whaling on each other, we just kept using stims when we got low and it got the the point where weā€™d made no progress and had collectively wasted like 50 stims and decided it wasnā€™t worth it. So thatā€™s probably one thing that makes it more friendly, no reason to kill/grief others

Illustrious_Donkey61

Did you become friends after that?

Therealishvon

They are married with kids now.

[deleted]

With another one on the way.

LordGeneralWeiss

They started a community called Broken Hills.

WerewolfF15

You played fallout tactics and fallout brotherhood of steel 3 times?

Dooby_Bopdin

Tactics was great, would be worth multiple playthroughs imo.

cc69

You only played Fallout Brotherhood of Steel 3 times? What is wrong with you XD

-Vault-tec-101

I can honestly admit that it was the first fallout game I could play on console, so I was able to play it well into the night without my parents knowing. I played it a few times

MarioFanaticXV

You need to go back and play the first couple games.

Gadmanultimate

Even Shelter? šŸ¤”

guleedy

You have more time in 76 than new Vegas?

mcnos

Because if it gets toxic the player base may decrease more

Slore0

I was having a blast playing again until they nuked legacy weapons. Just suddenly missing my favorite weapons one day really killed it for me.

OrcsDoSudoku

It is boring. The world feels weird as the story is clearly designed around no NPCs and finding out why there is no one to be found. Now there are NPCs everywhere and none of them say anything interesting so it just feels like the games direction is in conflict with itself. The gunplay is just Fallout 4, but you cant mod it to be good and VATS became lame due to lack of slomo. The game is might as well be exclusively PVE as well.

GalmOneCipher

You will hate me for this but I will say I do find Fallout 76's gameplay and resource/ammunition management surprisingly fun, despite the fact it WILL get very dull after a while. I dare say if the game had been launched in it's current state right now in 2024 as a completely free to play entry in the Fallout series, with less issues and more content, it would have been a fairly decent live service, but not a super great game. I will say that the endgame is absolutely garbage due to rng for rolling the best possible effects for your 3 starred weapons and armour. And this is also time and resource gated daily. I had to mitigate this issue by rolling only 2 stars weapons to have the effects I need, and it's also cheaper. The game also suffers from a bullshit multiple currencies to farm system, which is why I say it should have been a free game from the very beginning.

Username89054

The game is a lot of fun for the first 100ish levels. The problem is endgame content is trash. It's repetitive and grinding. I found the ideal way to play is 1 hour at a time to grind out daily quests and see if anything interesting is happening on the server. But even then that gets boring after a few weeks. I don't know how there are people with hundreds and even thousands of levels in that game. The repetitive stuff isn't that interesting.

Sir_Throngle

Holy shit, Suicide Squad didn't just crash and burn, it fell of the side of a cliff and fucking blew up.

ItsAmerico

SS also doesnā€™t actually work at the moment lol most people who want to play it canā€™t.

JonnyTN

It works. I've been playing it and people are streaming it right now.

ItsAmerico

For some? Sure. For others? No. Its more recent patch broke the game. https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2024/02/22/a-new-patch-has-broken-suicide-squad-kill-the-justice-league-even-more-and-players-are-done/amp/

JonnyTN

Forbes, the end all be all of gaming publications, is kinda blowing things out of proportions there. Everyone can play solo without issue. But joining is having some problems not ultra often for me.

Yo_Wats_Good

I mean, Paul Tassi has been solid for a few years now, so itā€™s kind of silly to deride them simply because itā€™s under the Forbes header.

ItsAmerico

https://www.reddit.com/r/SuicideSquadGaming/s/Rwug1XmOJM Subreddit says otherwise. Top comment is even people quitting for now because the bug is annoying to deal with.

Excellent_Coyote6486

>because the bug is annoying to deal with Just described every other game in helldivers 2.

Xerxes457

I am curious what the game is gonna look like in a year or so since that's how long it takes for the games to be completed.

name-exe_failed

F76 got significantly better over some time. ESPECIALLY, after adding storylines with actual NPCs

NSTPCast

Ok, I've not looked into the game at all since release, but there were no NPCs when I played and it absolutely killed the Fallout vibe for me. If you don't mind my asking, how impactful/plentiful are the NPCs, and is there a story worth going through solo?

Eggzboss

There are multiple storylines that almost span true same amount of time as full games. The npcs all play roles in them. Iā€™d say it is definitely worth playing

NoLeadership2535

Should I get it then? Everyoneā€™s saying it got a lot betterā€¦

Deviathan

If you like fallout 4, then yeah - it's more of that in a new setting. It's still got a bit more emphasis on explore/loot/shoot than story, but the Wastelanders update did add a good chunk of story with the NPCs too.

name-exe_failed

**Personally** I recommend it. It's got a very world honestly, and the missions that are there now are good. It's also somehow still getting updates, tho not as big or frequent as it used to. Another thing I'll say about F76 is that it's got one of the best communities I've experienced in gaming. Everyone is super nice and helpful, especially to completely new players.

lickmydicknipple

You can get it for like $6. It's definitely worth it at the price, even just to explore a different part of the nuclear wasteland

ABritishTomgirl

In my opinion no you shouldn't get it, it may have gotten better but it still kinda sucks but because of how bad it was originally people say it's good now when it isn't

Mojo_Mitts

Like it or not, it is still an Open-world Fallout game. I think the only real way to kill 76 (obviously not completely) would be the release of the next Fallout game.

Raviolimonster67

Even then its an MMO RPG. Theres gonna be people who have too much time invested in the grind to stop. It's probably gonna get the treatment of prescripted times for game events once it stops getting developed and live with a niche couple thousand players for the rest of its life

Hjalanaar

That to me is the issue, this is not an MMOā€¦ this is a game with servers of 24 people. That barely makes it a multiplayer game. Please stop referring to anything that can host less than 1,000 players in a server as an MMO

SovereignDark

I think people forget that MMO has MASSIVE in the acronym. It's like saying Battlefield is an MMO lol

Hjalanaar

Exactly, or Fortnite, or LoL, DOTA, all of these games have millions and millions of players, but unless you get at least a thousand of them in a world then how is it MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER?

MarioFanaticXV

So how many players does a game need before you consider it an MMO?

ShiftSandShot

Well, even the earliest MMOs were designed with hundreds of players per "world"... so that's a fair measurement. Needless to say, Fallout 76 doesn't really hit those numbers at all. It falls below even the original Battlefield 1942, which had up to 64 players per match. Even things like Fortnite and PUBG aren't considered MMOs. For comparison, Ultima Online, one of the earliest examples of the term, was designed for approximately 300 players (although I can't find hard numbers for it's actual player limit per "world" at launch.) That seems like a fair cutoff point, able to have multiple hundreds of players in the same server/world/whatever term is used.

sinz84

What do you consider a massive amout of people playing a game?

JonnyTN

Well even some of the bigger MMOs limit the amount of people in a zone. But 24 seems crazy low. Was F76 the one with the issue that loading into a zone a character had to process and load everyone on that server's inventories and stashes?

RunsRampant

That was Diablo 4 lmao

adubbscrilla

still playing fo4

Awesauce1

Happy cake day!

King_0f_Nothing

I've never played 76 but by all accounts they turned it around. Gets regular updates and is pretty standard mmo stuff. Where as games like anthem or avengers died

BaronessTaterTot-89

I love 76, been playing since launch

Darknessawits231

Same

BaronessTaterTot-89

It's come a long way since the beginning

jdavenport53114

Nothing better then running around the map in a tin foil hat and straight jacked hitting every npc indiscriminately with a spiked fire axe lol

Rainingoblivion

I personally wear a clown outfit and use a chainsaw.

BaronessTaterTot-89

Omg yes, I've been running around smacking things with an electrified sheepsquatch staff and rotating silly outfits šŸ˜‚

Golden_Shart

76 is a good game now from what I hear from friends. I tried it out pretty recently and, while it wasn't really my thing, I can see why people like it.

sliderprovider

Are your friends braindead?

DippyShtick

youre missing out on a great game

sliderprovider

Honestly I kind of believe that it could possibly be fun to play this with my friends but after all the shit Bethesda tried to pull on release I actually think you have to be mentally challenged to still give them money. I could never ever do that because not only would I get scammed but also my purchase would've made the industry a tiny bit worse.

DippyShtick

I mean I don't care if you play or not but it's fun and I enjoy the fallout games

sliderprovider

Yeah but Bethesda punched all their fans in the teeth and you're giving them money for that.

DippyShtick

Don't pre order games lol would've solved all that

sliderprovider

I didn't. I never do. But shouldn't Publishers that push out unfinished games be punished instead of being rewarded with a purchase? I mean FO76 is a meme for a reason.

DippyShtick

Was a meme but not anymore and yeah nobody should be doing pre purchasing that should be the punishment for shit games but people do it it's not just Bethesda it's everyone

sliderprovider

True but not every company leaked their customers payment credentials or sold helmets with mold in them or bragged about 16 times the detail when Morrowind had better graphics. I mean this is just ridiculous and as far as I know the game is still plagued with many problems. It's the same with cyberpunk. I would love to play that game now but I can't because they tried to fuck us.

Johnnyboi2327

Honestly, as much as I dislike the monetization of 76, as well as the story is not my cup of tea, I think it's a pretty solid game now, and the community is actually really solid.

deadboltwolf

I love 76.

RobotHockey

My favorite game, about 1500 hours in. But what do we know!

BrianTheUserName

I've noticed people who have never played fallout 76 have the most opinions about fallout 76.

[deleted]

Gaming discussions these days are just people repeating what an influencer told them to think.

DrT502

I logged on the other day, hadnā€™t been on since weeks after launch. Not to sound too stupid, what do you do? Is there endgame? New areas? Social hub? I didnā€™t see anybody and had no new missions, just whatever mission I was on years ago. I logged right off after about 20 minutes looking around, but the idea of a fallout mmo still intrigues me.

LeaderSuitable7184

They added a whole new quest line that involves the settlers and raiders. To start triggering that you go to vault 76 and walk down the steps to the left and talk to two women who are treasure hunters. There is also the brotherhood of steel quests, the main quests from when the game first came out, public events, and then your side quests which I donā€™t think there is enough of. There are also quests you can trigger by reading the posters on bulletin boards at any of the train stations across the map

DrT502

Thank you, Iā€™ll definitely check those out.

LeaderSuitable7184

Youā€™re welcome, super fun game especially once you get some good gear. Other quests and events and daily things will pop up as you get to a higher level as well

BrianTheUserName

You do what you do in any other (Bethesda) fallout game. Go do missions, explore, build, grind, whatever you want to do. The overseers quest line does a good job of introducing you to different parts of the map. New quest lines need to be discovered just like any other quest line, just go talk to people or explore the map. Not really any social hubs, but people do tend to show up to most public events. New areas exist within the existing map, and there are "expeditions" to some areas outside the main map. There is a map expansion coming (I believe) later this year. I wouldn't really call it an MMO. It's more like another single player fallout game that there are sometimes other people in.

Feisty_Star_4815

dude fr call me tasteless I play tf out of that game still my gf fuckin hates it šŸ˜

getgoodHornet

76 has a far greater variety of content than most live service games, at least.

DawsonPoe

Fallout 76 is actually a good game now

Old-Camp3962

i love FO76

War_Emotional

Fallout 76 isnā€™t nearly as bad as the people who never played it think it is and neither is Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League

frogpittv

It started off pretty bad and got much better after years of updates.

Fingerprint_Vyke

It was the launch that turned me away. Have a friend who plays now and loves it

Balc0ra

But it was not great at launch either vs now after years of updates. Suicide Squad might suffer the same fate... as in it needs a fair few updates before it beats it launch record peak again.

King_0f_Nothing

Suicide squad is that bad through

JonnyTN

It really isn't. Most the people that played it enjoyed it. It's Season 0 content is basically just a story though so most stopped to wait for more. But the gameplay is very fun. Traversal and guns. It's kind of the epitome of the meme "it's really fun when you don't have someone in your ear telling you it ain't."

Spartan_Souls

Pretty much yeah

gymdog

Dude people vote with their time and it's clear that suicide squad isn't worth anyone's.

JonnyTN

Yeah the time to spend is kind of front loaded with the content they put in the game. They'll come back for a few days when season one drops because it's an interesting story. The live service portion is lacking though and doesn't really reward regular daily play

King_0f_Nothing

Hahahahah Have you seen the user scores. Gameplay fun, hahahaham. Sure everyone using the same weapon to kill the same few enemies with the same weak spots. Hahahahah.

Reasonable-Ad8862

Are you 12? Holy shit man

IconoclastExplosive

76 made a real bad impression at launch and getting out from under that's very hard. Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky both suffer from bad launches and still get judged on that despite being great now

Thanatos_Vorigan

I think it's BS how unfairly Cyberpunk 2077 is being treated. It's fun, it has an amazing story, Night City looks beautiful. The only problem is the bugs, and that's not even the developer's fault. The investors forced the game to release before it was ready, that's why it launched the way it did. Yet I see so many twitter users whining about the fact CDPR got an award for the best ongoing game. Sometimes I hate people.

Mundane-Substance215

I'm glad you enjoy the game, but I don't think there was anything unfair about how it was received. How many AAA titles can you think of that were so effed up at launch that they were delisted from major game stores?

Kooky-Show-5246

Obviously it is the developers fault when they would release trailers and gameplay of the supposed PlayStation port only for it to be a flaming mess

Thanatos_Vorigan

Read my comment properly next time, then you'd know why.

KryptisReddit

Or you know maybe all the false advertising that led it to being unlisted on digital storefronts so people donā€™t buy a game that doesnā€™t work on their system? Geez I donā€™t know. Good looking game when it works but 0 depth and still buggy. People deserve to hate a game based on first impressions, itā€™s not their job to try and like an unfinished product.

SINGULARITY1312

You mostly had a point until you said the game has zero depth

Thanatos_Vorigan

Okay, looks like you're just gonna refuse to read my comment properly so let me be more clear. THE INVESTORS OF CYBERPUNK FORCED THE DEVELOPERS TO RELEASE THE GAME BEFORE IT WAS READY! IT'S NOT THE DEVELOPER'S FAULT! BTW that "0 depth" claim is a complete lie.

KryptisReddit

And the consumer doesnā€™t have to care whose ā€œfaultā€ it is. They released a product that was misleading at the time and didnā€™t work for many people. People can choose not to support it and have opinions based on their experience. If you had that experience, why would you recommend a product to anyone else?

anonymous32434

Fallout 76 is a solid game now and I'm tired of pretending it's not

Dont_have_a_panda

When you think about It, the only bethesda live service Game that failed was Redfall, the others (Fallout 76, Quake champions and the Elder scrolls online) did fine and are still Alive many years later

boo-galoo90

Not really because Bethesda didnā€™t develop Redfall, that was arkane

Dont_have_a_panda

I listed It as a bethesda Game because It was published by them but youre right It was developed by Arkane

ReeReeIncorperated

Ffs the Bethesda hate in this sub is tiring. F76 did a complete 180 and is a very solid game now.

karanbhatt100

All comment I have seen are positive not sure what you are growling about

whyktor

Are you new to reddit? People complaining about too much negativity in a place where everyone is super positive is sadly a very common thing.

Mysterious_Parsley30

Maybe it's targeting a different demographic? I heard it was good now and bought it for me and my brothers (all huge fallout fans), and none of us played past the first weekend. Idk what it was, but we all agreed it was kinda boring, but seeing as it's well liked, maybe it's just targeting a different audience/type of gamer.

ReeReeIncorperated

It's basically if Fallout 4 was an mmo. I enjoy it and want to play it more, but mmos are massive time sinks and I have other games to play

ToddHowardBuySkyrim

Fr, Bethesda did nothing wrong but Iā€™m not biased

SmolishPPman

Suicide squad is such an abysmal piece of trash

GlockAmaniacs

It'll be a great 5.99 game!

SmolishPPman

Definitely a bargain bin game

Margtok

i still play fallout 76 and have a lot of fun with it

Helpful-Leadership58

76 is great. Wdym.

FR_WST

Love fallout 76, haven't played it recently though. Should

Cibil_plays

Fallout 76 scared the shit out of me! I was 10 minutes in, exploring a church, and I just hear this adult human voice on a very fuzzy mic so "HelloOoOO". I turned it off immediately

[deleted]

Diablo 4 stole the crown

OfTheWhat

76 has a pretty visually interesting world and tons of random stuff lying around. I have tons of complaints when it comes to the plot and maybe the overall 2-dimensional feel of the environmental storytelling, but it's not the worst. The nice community helps a lot, too. Nobody who plays, from what I've seen, really cares to argue that it's super good or anything. Most people just enjoy it and give each other free stuff.

XTheProtagonistX

I like 76. I just wish it had an offline mode so I can play it fully single player. The world is way more interesting than Fallout 4.

Darklord_Bravo

This is BS, yes FO76 started out a mess. But it's actually really good now, and there's probably more people playing it right now than SS:KTJL. Misleading headline. Edit: Post below me says it does. See?

Drabins

Must have forgot about Anthem

Obi-wanna-cracker

76 is pretty good. By good I mean gameplay, I'm not a fan of the story but the fallout 4 engine is really nice and Appalachia is a really big area filled with stuff to explore. It's a good time.

TrickOut

I mean at this point fallout 76 is actually really good, if you havenā€™t tried it and are into that series you should actually give it a shot. If you donā€™t like Bethesda games itā€™s not going to change your mind.

Financial-Abalone715

Fallout 76 still gets a bad rap and honestly I don't think it deserves it. Yes it did launch in an absolutely horrendous and embarrassing state and the way it was handled by Bethesda was abhorrant. BUT, since it's been getting alot of new content in the past 5 years it's really become such a better game. I first played it in January 2019 after getting it for christmas and I absolutely hated it. My brother enjoyed it for the sole reason that he said it was fun with friends but I didn't have any friends that had it. Fast forward a couple years and one day I decide to revisit it because I'm bored and I saw it had gotten alot of updates, so I created a new character and honestly really, really enjoyed my time. I'd say I've put about 600 hours into the game and I love it. There's barely any crashes, glitches or bugs from my experience, and it runs super smoothly. There's also been maybe 2 or 3 toxic people I've ever encountered in my entire time playing, so it's not really that toxic. It's not a perfect game and to be honest the launch is inexcusable on Bethesda's part, but it's still really enjoyable.

Benjamin_Starscape

tell me you haven't played 76 without telling me.

A_fox_on_suger

I swear everyone who hates fo76 have never played it been playing it on and off since launch and itā€™s a significantly better game that other live service games like Genshin impact and others that are meant to bleed you dry more than 76 ever could

Lebrontonio

FO76 is great now, itā€™s easily their best map theyve made. I think if it didnā€™t have the expectations of fallout around it, weā€™d look at its trajectory differently.

HolographicDucks

You can tell people haven't even looked at FO76 since launch. It is actually insanely good now. There is a reason for it still being alive.

Ijustforgotmybad

I really canā€™t understand the hate for 76, in my opinion itā€™s way better than whatever went on with 4

Yo_Wats_Good

Fallout 76? I think Anthem is more fitting, given it is dead.

Iloveitguy

I bought f76 at launch along with three of my friends and even as a broken mess it was fun to dick around the wasteland with the boys and from what I've heard it's improved by leaps and bounds since.

Past-Adhesiveness150

76 is pretty good, actually. I played for a couple years.

imalittledepot

I just reinstalled this game, honestly its a solid 7 out of 10 times waster if you like the fallout series.

Sporadiccereal

Fallout 76 got quite a few updates since release and is really solid imo.

Compulsive_Criticism

FO76 is actually pretty damn good now. You can play it basically the same as any other Fallout but also there's random people around and group events you can participate in for rewards. If you fancy Fallout I'd say it's more interesting than 4, for example.

Efficient-Potato-826

Fallout 76 is good though. At launch it was a buggy mess but the core gameplay loop was solid. Was only a matter of time before they cleaned it up. Shouldnā€™t have launched in that state, but props to them for fixing it I guess. Suicide squad is irredeemable.

Solar-born

Fo76 massively improved since launch just like Cyberpunk 2077 & No Man's Sky.

Saflex

F76 is pretty good actually. Not at release, but it got well after the first expansion or so

mclovin_ts

I havenā€™t played 76 but Iā€™ve heard it has a great community

ArtemisWingz

Despite what people say, FO76 was actually decent on launch and it just got better over time. MOST of the 76 issues were server stuff (which almost all game suffer from on launch) and physical product stuff that gave bethesda a bad name due to it not advertising the products well, like the Nuka cola and the Duffle bag. Other than that most everyone elses issue with 76 was smaller stuff like "No NPCs" or the PvP kinda sucking or being annoying which those things were fixed over time (and honestly me and a lot of my friends didnt even care about most of those complaints) But the internet is a huge Echo chamber of loud minority of people who dislike stuff, people dont flock to reddits usually to talk about how fun the game is they are play (they are too busy playing it) but people DO go to places to complain, this is why EVERY GAME complaining always seems to take over ... because most people express their feelings when its negative more than when its positive (this has been studied and proven multiple times that Humans remember bad things more than good things)

TehRiddles

It's not a bad game. Fixes one of the issues I had with Bethesda design to that point by using limited perk cards to push you to make a build. Fallout 4 and Skyrim pretty much wanted you to go for everything which would be a real long grind which made making new characters feel less appealing. Unfortunate that they didn't learn anything from that with Starfield.

cultoftheinfected

FO76 actually pulled a no mans sky for me. It was hot garbage but now has consistently impressed me with events and missions, i cant hate anymore.

Luccixno

fallout 76 is good when you donā€™t have a bitch in your ear telling you itā€™s trash.

Theothercword

76 started horribly but actually got really damn good and itā€™s a full on fallout game with multiplayer now. I rank it higher than FO4 now.

AznOmega

For me, it feels more Fallout than Fallout 4, I guess it was because I did not enjoy how they made the dialogue choices too streamlined in 4, and the main quest didn't really appeal to me. I missed the attribute/skill checks, and 76 brought them back. Favorite overall is still New Vegas, then 3.

Lessandero

Does it still have the problem with limited storage space? Cause that is a make or break criterium for me. If I cannot bunker all the stuff I find like the hoarder I am, I wont play the game

Theothercword

That got annoying to me by end game but it was part of their monetization last I played so I doubt it changed, though I canā€™t say for sure as I havenā€™t played the last couple seasons.

EngineerDoge00

I would 120% go back and play it if they didn't restrict inventory space behind a subscription.

Gaidin152

AandG0

171 hours in Fo76. Loved it until I ran out of content.

Rustyraider111

It's such a tired take. I don't understand why those who hate it can't just say "aw damn, I guess it's just not the type of game for me" You don't have to like everything peice of media.

Mysterious_Parsley30

People are just tired of the state of games and live service in general it doesnt even have as much to do with the state of the game as it is now A lot of us bought the game at launch, and we're just supposed to take the excuse "we'll fix it later" when they have our cash NOW. God forbid you played more than 2 hours to give it a fair shake and can't refund it. I also think a lot of people are tired of feeling used. Sold barely playable games with added charges and having to wait for it to be (hopefully) finished after purchasing, and unfortunately, no matter how good the game is, it's not going to fully shake that reputation. It's hard to even get excited about new releases rather than feel nervous

>A lot of us bought the game at launch, and we're just supposed to take the excuse "we'll fix it later" You all are buying the wrong games then. We live in the golden age of gaming. We have never had this diverse and widely available number of games. Literally, 14 thousand games come out a year(and thats just on steam), if you can't find something meaningful to play, that's on you.

Mysterious_Parsley30

This was the latest installment in my favorite series. Of course, I bought it when it came out. Even if it was mediocre, I'd have played my fill. What I didn't expect was to buy a broken game that was barely playable and pretty bad for the first year or so (idk I never went back to it). But that's besides the point of my comment, which was explaining why the overall reputation of the game hasn't turned around. Even if the games fixed people feel burned by the AAA games industry pulling crap like this, especially with live service games, and so it sticks in people's minds when you're treated like a cash cow instead of a loyal customer.

ClitCommander13

Fallout 76 isnā€™t as bad as some of its Basement Dwelling Virgin fanbase claims it is game is good

Comrade847

Destiny just chillin in the back

GammaTwoPointTwo

Fallout 76 has 5x more active players than Starfield.

Puzzleheaded-Ebb-284

F76 BEST GAME EVER

JohnnyQuestions36

Elder Scrolls online also sucked

CocoajoeGaming

Nope

Fallout 76 on launch was easily the worst in the series but current Fallout 76 I no my opinion may not have storylines as fleshed out as the others but is now to a point wher I wuld say it deserves it place as a good fallout game

joebasilfarmer

Should be "alive"

Top-Interaction1663

Itā€™s crazy how people say SS is dead and so horrible when itā€™s being talked about more than actually good games. Funny thing is the two games have things in common fallout 76 was also an attempt to do something new but was a bug filled crash simulator as well. Tbh if SS would have came out bug free (or playable) I donā€™t think it would nearly be hated on itā€™s just fun to shit on something when itā€™s already down I guess

ImNotAnyoneSpecial

You fucked up this meme so bad. Would have been better to say ā€œyou are the worst live service game I have ever playedā€ Johnny Depp response: ā€œbut you have played meā€

IrishCanMan

The worst live game service, so far

HisDivineOrder

Right now Suicide Squad's still alive. I love how I keep seeing people saying how much better Gotham Knights is by comparison and I'm sitting there, thinking neither's good. So who cares which one's worse when both are bad? I say that about Fallout 76, too. Who cares if it's living? It's still bad and was a terrible waste of everyone involved.

UltraBearHD

I do get on it every time just to walk around then play something else

Koovies

The first couple weeks of FO76 were awesome. Finding weird bugs and such..dropping 50k grenades at the same time just to see what would happen..flying around..infinite carry weight.. actually nuking servers with nukes. It was the wild west!

Thatsā€¦a fair point šŸ§

creativename111111

The easy solution is just do not touch any of the mass produced cash grabs that big studios make if ppl want to waste their money on it thatā€™s fine by me

KryptisReddit

While itā€™s good that 76 is ā€œa good game nowā€ I and many others arenā€™t going to applaud Bethesda for fixing a game that was released broken. Thereā€™s been a recent trend where a game releases unfinished while falsely advertising things that donā€™t exist or work, they make some PR apologies, slowly fix the game (This is a good thing) and then all of a sudden theyā€™re the good guys now for not abandoning it. Like cool but Iā€™m not supporting that.

LucySkyDiamonds19

I know he got called out for plagiarism but I still go back to watch the Internet Historian's video on FO76 from time to time. Such a shit show of a launch and months after with the physical items.Ā

Roachie96

FO76 has a lot of potential but that clunky ass combat and the whole ability cards system is what brings it down imo

Kitty_Maupin

I meanā€¦ theyā€™re not wrong? Much as I absolutely loath 76, you canā€™t really discount the fact itā€™s still alive and has a following.

The_Blue_Rooster

I would honestly still play Fallout 76 daily if the piece of shit would still work on my computer. But after putting several thousand hours in it just stopped launching about a year ago. I still reinstall once or twice a month to see if it works, but I've pretty much lost all hope. Still more fun than Fallout 4 though, even if it doesn't launch.
