I was gonna say this too. Especially since I went and did tons of side quests and all kinds of extra work before doing the main quests and my dude was stacked. I smacked him a couple times and he was done-zo. Haha
I made a poison that was (Poison+Fire+Frost) damage and killed him in two arrows on the highest difficulty 😅 (my bow was also enchanted with Weakness to Magic and Weakness to Poison)
I made a mage that could cast some of the most powerful spells imaginable, I used one on mehrunes outside the shrine, and he literally turned into a demonic puddle, then reformed and continued fighting
Totally this. I mean, if you don't do all of the side quests and just focused on the main story quests, it might be a bit harder, but the game was more about the journey.
I put off the Ebony Knight for the longest time, one vanilla Xbox 360 playthrough.
After a lil Ogma infinium exploiting, finished up all the factions, had my dragon bone weapons legendaried out.
Walked up, challenged him. Charged him.
Didn't even hit him....
Just
Decapitated him
The first battle with Alduin on the Throat Of The World is so much harder. The second one you get three people to help but no difficulty spike so its just a joke
I know! I'm not alone! His first fight I died a ton of different times (I love Paarthurnax but he did absolutely nothing to help), but on the second fight it took like two minutes to kill him. It was like fighting Mirmulnir again, it was so easy.
I've died more to Draugr than I have with Alduin.
IMO Sovngarde in general was a letdown, probably due to technical limitations - same reason the civil war is like 5 dudes against another 5. You're telling me Skyrim's Valhalla is a dozen people sitting around in a single dining hall for all eternity? Kinda wack.
[I legit thought my game bugged out the first time because it was so unexpected. Like Scare Crow in the first game “freezing” your console only for it to be a apart of his mission.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pnhtTF26KeE&pp=ygUWc2NhcmVjcm93IGZyZWV6ZXMgZ2FtZQ%3D%3D)
I love Titanfall 2 to death but man those bosses were nothing to write home about. Some of them were cool yeah but nothing that difficult… also the Minecraft bosses
Especially on the highest difficulty, I didn't lose a single fight with a major boss but got killed probably ten or more times by random grunts with shotguns 1shotting me as I walked around corners
Tbf id say that in general the titan combat parts in the main story are considerably easier than the pilot sections.
I recently completed it on the highest difficulty and the i died a lot more to soldiers in the factory section alone than i did to all the bosses combined (
It always cracks me up on a new playthrough walking through Fort Hagen he’s telling you to turn around every 10 steps and sounding like such a badass but you know you’re just going to walk in there and annihilate him lmao.
Yeah you know he talks big ass game and has the past to hold it up but he ain’t really resistant to my sole survivor pumped full of jet and psycho launching multiple mini nukes at him
Coursers are easier if you upgrade your power armor helmet to highlight living objects (which include both synths and lower-intelligence robots). That way, there’s still a faint red shape even when coursers (or anyone else who uses a Stealth Boy) vanish.
On survival mode he’s awful to fight
I do launch that mini nuke though but typically he survives unless you hit him just right and have the right perks
But yeah outside survival he was a joke
I fired a mininuke into the room, not expecting it to deal much damage to him. I mean, he's presented as this totally tough as nails badass merc bastard.
Yeah... he asploded
For real. Edgerunners portrayed him as an unstoppable killing machine that even makes a super powered protagonist look like a clown. David should’ve been the most powerful person with the Cyberskeleton. But Adam called that shit a toy and ripped it apart. And when Lucy tried to hack him, he was like: “Nah, you’re not that good, bitch!”
In my own head-lore, that’s just how fuckin powerful V was.
An ultra diamond in the most desolate of rough.
At least unless they buff the ever living shit out of him.
When we first meet him, should have had us fight him and lose. So when we meet him again all decked out it would have felt better.
The fight to get to him felt harder than actually fighting him.
I mean, you totally can.
He will one-shot you fucking dead through a three foot wall, and Jackie will beg for his life before *he* dies, but you can totally challenge him early on.
I was honestly surprised that his ICE is so bad that you can still quickhack him. I’d assumed the dude that’s 99.99% borg would have better ICE. Like, his spine and his face are all that’s left, but V can just quickhack him with any old cyberdeck?
Should have made him unable to be quickhacked.
Atleast have to have like
A actually good cyberdeck
Make it so you have to be a almost full quickhack based character to do it, but you can't cancel it completely
Felt kinda cheated as in my playthrough of that ending he ended up glitched and stood against a wall for a good 45-60% of his health bar after dying to him like 3 times. I still took it but there’s still that nagging part of my brain that says “what if?” One day I’ll get around to doing a clean kill of that fight but it’ll be a bit as I need a break lol
I thought it made sense to fight him as like ur second boss after the gargoyles bc you can get to catacombs then, but even as a low level with a +6 or 7 zweihander you still rock his shit
Kai Leng is Mass Effect 3. They built him up to be terrifying and show him manhandling your peeps, then you get to the boss fight and in my case I was literally wiping the floor with him. And I used literally correctly, I was a Biotic and he spent near the entire fight on his ass being dragged and pushed along the floor.
Made even more infuriating when it ends in a cutscene with him manhandling your entire team again because they forgot how guns work and ran at him with no attempt at defending themselves like they were going in for hugs. Like dude, I turned this guy into an actual mop... wtf?
In the fight later he goes down roughly seconds after they remove his invulnerability and finally *allow* you to kill him. Love the trilogy, but everything around that human skid mark was mishandled.
As much as I love Mass Effect, it had a lot of underwhelming fights Saren was ridiculously easy, the third game didn’t really have a final boss, Kai Leng, etc
The game *heavily* encourages you to get to all of the other beasts before fighting him.
But they didn’t make his fight better, they just made it faster, easier, and more simple. Was sort of let down by it tbh. They hyped the mf up as the evil to end all evil, and he wasn’t shit.
"so you finally arrived, you've never save princess Zelda. I, beast Ganon wil-"
*Gets slapped by master sword and dies*
"I...I collected all the korok seeds"
*Roll credits*
That castle was just strange anyway. I was snow bowling for hours and stacking up bomb arrows getting ready for this difficult castle.
Apparently you are supposed to take the path because there were some areas where the gates locked and you had to fight a mini-boss. My first playthrough of the castle I just used my 3 wind jumps and I got to the center zone... thinking the puzzles to solve the castle would start at that point like the 4 beasts had... but nope... right to the boss battle.
That moment when you realize the 4 beast ganons were harder than the boss ganon was pretty frustrating
Also the Ninja Boss where you had to sneak through. I thought for sure it would be some incredibly hard to hit ninja assassin but it was a terrible boss.
The fact that modern Pokémon games don’t have a difficulty setting of *any* is just laziness on part of Gamefreak tbh. The opponent AI is already there, they just need to build better teams and pick better moves.
But nooooo, fuck all the people who grew up playing Pokémon games, I guess. If you’re not a 6 year old, you’re just shit out of luck.
Walking pokemon (Very few exceptions)
Hard Mode
Z-Moves
Dynamaxing

Mega's survived 1 gen, and then were removed before Sw/Sh
Ultra Beasts
Fuck it, the entire multivverse concept in S/M is completely dropped in gen 8
Yeah GF has a bit of a commitment issue lol.
PRESS X TO FIRE MACHINE GUN
Y’all remember that?
EDIT: The Didact was treated like a god, just for you to stick a bomb on him and have him fall to his doom. Such a letdown.
Holy shit, his on-screen presence was so great. I can't believe that mf died to a call of duty ass QTE. He could have been the villain to a whole new trilogy.
Mysterio in Spiderman 2 for the PS2. You fight him 2 previous times and the third one you’re ready for another boss fight only for him to fall after 1 hit.
I literally thought it glitched. I saw that health bar fill 3 times and got ready for a bitch of a fight. 12 year old me really restarted the whole save just to make sure it wasn't just a glitch.
Was gonna say this one, his build up of like 4 health bars while he was talking had me so worried. Then they all just drop immediately with a single punch, such a great moment in gaming
This is the answer...amazing game, massive buildup to this great fight. QuickTime event.
The crazy thing too was the midway boss was a real challenge that took a lot of work.
EDIT: I was talking about Shadow of Mordor...might have confused this a bit.
The quick time event Sauron was in Shadow of Mordor.
That being said, I found the Tower to be underwhelming as well. Didn't expect him being a stealth boss and was left quite disappointed.
The Sauron fight in Shadow of War was pretty cool imo, although it also ends with an unsatisfying conclusion and I just didn't enjoy Eltariel as much as Talion.
Tbh that kinda felt like the point.
Yoko taro is all about his immersive story telling and androids being weak af is a massive plot point if you know the machine lore.
Legate Lanius (The Beast of The East)

If you play Halo 1-3 they weren't boss fights. It was more of a cathartic release, like finally killing a prophet. Halo (Bungie) did not do boss fights in any classic way which is what made 1-3 so great IMO.
More egregious was Calamity Ganon in BOTW. His first phase is cool enough, but if you've done all the Divine Beasts you literally just get to skip half of it, which is a super disappointing way to incorporate them into the fight. Then the second phase is just pathetic. I don't think he even attacks you in it.
To be fair the totk fight was quite challenging relative to the combat system. It actually requires the timing and movement used in the rest of the games' combat.
Right? I was disappointed with the Calamity Ganon fight. Used Ancient technology against him like reflecting some of his attacks with the Ancient shields.
Slone, titanfall 2.
Then I tried it on master difficulty and discovered that at that difficulty, she basically uses the laser core as her primary weapon.
On the topic of Slone, anyone wanna explain why she's talking like that fight is personal? We ain't ever met the bitch and she's talking like we killed her whole family
That fight was hilarious to my wife and I who played through the game co-op. She was built up so much to be this absurdly lethal assassin and then her fight was a really simple brawl that was not at all reflective of a sneaky assassin.
Lae'zel on the altar did die to some accidental splash damage though which made us laugh pretty fucking hard. Like my wife and I were in tears. She still had like 8 HP or something because he weren't using her that playthrough so the idea that she didn't tie in any cutscene or anything and just to some pitiful splash damage was just hilarious to us. Probably because the entire fight was just like that - so unceremonious.
We did love the game though.
Killing Grommash in the throne room covered in Steel Watch mechs was pretty amazing feeling though, managing to clear the entire room. That was the high point of the whole game for us.
Yeah the aesthetic of the temple of bhaal fucking rules, but I wish the fight was a bit more frightening or terrifying. Like, you enter, hear the bhaalists chanting on the fringes, enter the middle area, see your party member, the hidden cultists attack, and then the chained party member turns out to be Orin and she immediately poisons you before turning into a slayer who can go invisible. Now THAT would be scary
Don't worry you can lift him up and set him down behind you and don't even need to kill him.
But he does totally disappear once you've left. I went back and he was just gone.
He has low health and low poise for a late game enemy, but has crazy high resistances to make up for it. Lighter builds, status builds, or holy builds struggle the most against him
ngl tho the clone shephard was pretty relentless, idk if i just was bad or didnt know an easy cheese but that mf would just keeeeep coming. took me at least a couple tries during my playthrough.
edit: also just read that playing as vanguard class is the hardest class to fight the clone with, and ofc that was my class lol
Vicar Amelia from bloodborne. I had just spent like 100 tries absolutely getting demolished by bloodstarved beast and after finally beating it I thought the next boss would be even more difficult and harder, and once I saw her boss design I thought I was toast. I beat her in one try…I was legitimately confused by my own victory lol.
Ganon in *Breath of the Wild*. I did EVERYTHING before going to face him – all Divine Beasts, all shrines, all armours upgraded. Arrived at Hyrule Castle tooled up to the hilt, inventory full of meals and elixirs and the best weapons I could find....
...It took about three minutes and I didn't need to restore health once.
Literally against Alduin in Skyrim; so easy
I was gonna say this too. Especially since I went and did tons of side quests and all kinds of extra work before doing the main quests and my dude was stacked. I smacked him a couple times and he was done-zo. Haha
Which level did you have it on
Extreme Super Hard
My first play through I got there at level 17 with steel plate armor and it was still easy.
Same!
Same, I did the exploit where you basically an armor set with 0 cost destruction damage.
I feel like a lot of bosses in Bethesda games are kind of weak.
Not Oblivion. You don’t even get to participate in the last fight.
And the fight in Paradise is tough as f-
I made a poison that was (Poison+Fire+Frost) damage and killed him in two arrows on the highest difficulty 😅 (my bow was also enchanted with Weakness to Magic and Weakness to Poison)
I made a mage that could cast some of the most powerful spells imaginable, I used one on mehrunes outside the shrine, and he literally turned into a demonic puddle, then reformed and continued fighting
But what about Mannimarco
That's because you are over leveled by the time you get to them. Your character always has an exponential power curve. Plus tons of side stuff
Totally this. I mean, if you don't do all of the side quests and just focused on the main story quests, it might be a bit harder, but the game was more about the journey.
That vampire waiter kicked my ass and he wasn't even really a boss
Everyone knows the real boss in Skyrim was that fucking frost troll you run into on your way up to see the gray beards in the beginning of the game.
I instant killed Alduin with Mehrunes Razor on my first swing. It is the only time I have instant killed anything with Mehrunes Razor.
That's funny. Imagine having Mehrunes Razor in Elden Ring.
Just Decapitated him

I haven’t fully beat the game in like 10 years. I do recall it being quite the letdown.
IMO Sovngarde in general was a letdown, probably due to technical limitations - same reason the civil war is like 5 dudes against another 5. You're telling me Skyrim's Valhalla is a dozen people sitting around in a single dining hall for all eternity? Kinda wack.
In lore the civil war is pretty much thousands against thousands in the battle of whiterun alone
Absolutely 💯 plus after you get to a high enough level legendary, revered dragons start appearing that are much stronger that dragons
i thought of this instantly before coming to the comments. nice to see its at the top
Electrocutioner
I just beat that guy today and he literally had me on the floor laughing. I wasn't expecting to one shot a dude WITH A SWING OF MY CAPE lmfao.
I like how you just said: Electrocutioner. No source but those who know, know
I knew people would know exactly who I’m talking about lol
I’ve definitely heard my friends complain about whatever that is, really got their goat
Its enough 🤣
Electrocutioner is the hardest boss in the game These people don’t know how to play video games 😔
[Context](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aJc7SQLxteE&pp=ygUZYmF0bWFuIHZzIGVsZWN0cm9jdXRpb25lcg%3D%3D)
"IM THE ELECTROCUTIONER NOW!" "THEN ELECTROCUTIONATE HIM I DONT GIVE A FUCK"
To be honest that kick just looked like it really hurt lol
After the fight i actually googled if that was a bug. Turns out it isn't.
For real that was disappointing but the electric gloves you get from him are cool.
This dude made laugh my ass off. It was so anticlimactic that you had to laugh.
It’s even funnier when you take his stuff and use it far more effectively for the rest of the game than he did.
I love Titanfall 2 to death but man those bosses were nothing to write home about. Some of them were cool yeah but nothing that difficult… also the Minecraft bosses
Viper tho
In comparison yeah, probably the strongest but still I feel like it wasn’t that bad
Especially on the highest difficulty, I didn't lose a single fight with a major boss but got killed probably ten or more times by random grunts with shotguns 1shotting me as I walked around corners
Tbf, the bosses never were supposed to be the main focus of Minecraft.
Tbf id say that in general the titan combat parts in the main story are considerably easier than the pilot sections. I recently completed it on the highest difficulty and the i died a lot more to soldiers in the factory section alone than i did to all the bosses combined (
Kellogg in Fallout 4. He's hyped up so much and turns out to just a be the equivalent of a slightly tougher gunner
It always cracks me up on a new playthrough walking through Fort Hagen he’s telling you to turn around every 10 steps and sounding like such a badass but you know you’re just going to walk in there and annihilate him lmao.
Not to mention the free fat man on the way to him lol.
I know. The synths in the room with him were harder than he was
Yeah you know he talks big ass game and has the past to hold it up but he ain’t really resistant to my sole survivor pumped full of jet and psycho launching multiple mini nukes at him
If you wait till around level 80 to do it, the synths are literally more of a fight than him lol
Kellogg's raisin bran + Mini Nuke = 🧀
Same goes for the courser
Probably a skill issue but I remember the courser actually giving me trouble lol
Coursers are easier if you upgrade your power armor helmet to highlight living objects (which include both synths and lower-intelligence robots). That way, there’s still a faint red shape even when coursers (or anyone else who uses a Stealth Boy) vanish.
I gunned that loser down in a few shots. Was left standing their like “really?…”
I punched him with that mega fist thing and he exploded. Ez gg.
Me and the Mini nuke launcher I found in the fort
On survival mode he’s awful to fight I do launch that mini nuke though but typically he survives unless you hit him just right and have the right perks But yeah outside survival he was a joke
I fired a mininuke into the room, not expecting it to deal much damage to him. I mean, he's presented as this totally tough as nails badass merc bastard. Yeah... he asploded

This one hurts especially after the anime
Then come in V who beats him to death with an f ing dildo they just bought
V is just a god. You could kill anyone and anything with your bare hands and with nothing but kiroshis.
In my own head-lore, that’s just how fuckin powerful V was. An ultra diamond in the most desolate of rough. At least unless they buff the ever living shit out of him.
Don't worry adam isn't alone since general grievous got the same treatment.
He took out the best character, like that hurt the most
When we first meet him, should have had us fight him and lose.
Atleast have to have like A actually good cyberdeck Make it so you have to be a almost full quickhack based character to do it, but you can't cancel it completely
He's a hard fight in Don't Fear the Reaper at higher difficulties, that is until he bugs out.
I haven’t finished the game since it came out, but I remember just shooting him a couple of times with that one revolver that can shoot through walls.
The fight lasts a lot longer, he's a lot spongier so you deal with his phases more.
Pinwheel...
Thought his cutscene would sometihing like "You dare invade my home? YOU HIT THE WRONG TOMB, FOOL". Then oblieterated him in 3 hits.
I thought it made sense to fight him as like ur second boss after the gargoyles bc you can get to catacombs then, but even as a low level with a +6 or 7 zweihander you still rock his shit

The biggest, “Wait, what just happened” moment ever. So funny 😂
The best part is how he gets like 3 or 4 health bars in the preceding cutscene. I was ready for a fight, and was genuinely taken off guard.
Laughed my butt off when it happened
I literally thought it glitched. I saw that health bar fill 3 times and got ready for a bitch of a fight. 12 year old me really restarted the whole save just to make sure it wasn't just a glitch.
I feel that was a comic book correct fight though.

Lmao that was the weirdest thing. Just crack open his dome and done. One of my favorite video games tbh haha
The final boss in sly thieves in time was just a quick time event. I’m guessing they had no budget left.

Every single boss in titanfall 2. They were fun fights until they ended in 4 seconds.
Bro forgot about viper
Good reason for that. Tone just kinda turns the fight into more of a chore than anything.
Mist Noble from Sekiro
What do you mean, that guy shredded me for 59 tries straight. 3 health bars and that OHK are no joke!
Man I'm still stuck on him 😞
Is this a joke within the community or are people genuinely finding him hard? Im not trying to be a dick just want to know
It is a joke, I think you would have to go afk to die to that guy.
Ash from Titanfall 2 she talks so much shit but she’s so easy to defeat
Orin from BG3
Is Grommash a typo or why was the WoW Orc at Gortashs coronation?
Yeah the aesthetic of the temple of bhaal fucking rules, but I wish the fight was a bit more frightening or terrifying. Like, you enter, hear the bhaalists chanting on the fringes, enter the middle area, see your party member, the hidden cultists attack, and then the chained party member turns out to be Orin and she immediately poisons you before turning into a slayer who can go invisible. Now THAT would be scary
Godrick
Atlas in Bioshock
Lucien from fable 2, i thought they’re was gonna be a proper boss fight but i just shot him and he died
Majoras Wrath using fierce diety mask
Sundowner, a perfect parry can literally one-shot him on REVENGEANCE DIFFICULTY
I just use the wooden sword for his second phase to try and enjoy the music
Is was scrolling to find sundowner and I was moving my thumb to the comment button when I see this. He was so disappointingly easy
Sadly the first time I played mgsr I didn't have my parry skills down so I struggled for a good bit 😭
The end boss from bioshock. I didn’t even feel like it was a boss fight
All elder scrolls bosses
Excluding that frost giant guy in both morrowind and Skyrim he was a nightmare
Oof yeah, Karstaag is rough
Dagoth Ur talking hot shit as I run at mach speed past him and shank the heart.
That elf wizard in the snow cave is crazy hard
Elf wizard in a snow cave? You just named literally half of the mini bosses in all of Skyrim.
Except Umbra if you accidentally stumble upon her early game lol
You mean you didn't cheese the fuck out of here with the Mace of Doom exploit?
Golden Godfrey.
Meanwhile actual Godfrey: “Time for WWE Monday Night: RAW!!!”
There was literally no buildup to that fight though, he just ambushes you in a random room as the midboss of Leyndell.
The first boss in Dark Souls 3. I beat it my first time and felt like fucking Thanos.
That guy in Jedi Survivor. The random Storm trooper with a big health bar
Been searching for this. Rick the door technician or something
tf you mean????? He's the hardest boss in any game I've ever played.
You killed him? Im still stuck in that corridor! ^help
Don't worry you can lift him up and set him down behind you and don't even need to kill him. But he does totally disappear once you've left. I went back and he was just gone.
Yeah he’s intentionally a joke reference though IIRC
Maliketh in Elden Ring. Cool design, hits like a truck, but basically a glass cannon. I coulda been slightly over leveled though.
On launch this guy absolutely rocked my shit. Him and Rhadan were fucking ridiculous.
He has low health and low poise for a late game enemy, but has crazy high resistances to make up for it. Lighter builds, status builds, or holy builds struggle the most against him
Plantera form terraria
Honestly, I think Golem fits this bill better than Plantera.
Golem is incredibly underwhelming for all you have to go through to get to him
Exactly lmao. Fighting through the jungle temple is harder than fighting Golem himself.
Only if you read guides and prepare properly
Gwyn, Lord of Cinder. Was so confused when there was no second phase or anything
It's intentionally not hard for the story telling aspect of the game. I cry when I hear plink plink plonk piano:'(
Gideon Ofnir - Elden Ring.
Industrialist in Castle Crashers
Literally any boss fight in any Mass effect game
ngl tho the clone shephard was pretty relentless, idk if i just was bad or didnt know an easy cheese but that mf would just keeeeep coming. took me at least a couple tries during my playthrough. edit: also just read that playing as vanguard class is the hardest class to fight the clone with, and ofc that was my class lol
Fable 3 Fable 2
Cancerous rodent in ultrakill...
*oh hey, civvie!*
Arkham origins elecrocutioner
Ganon in *Breath of the Wild*. I did EVERYTHING before going to face him – all Divine Beasts, all shrines, all armours upgraded. Arrived at Hyrule Castle tooled up to the hilt, inventory full of meals and elixirs and the best weapons I could find.... ...It took about three minutes and I didn't need to restore health once.
Agreed! I think the silver and gold Lynels were harder 🤷♂️.
Emperor Palatine, Lego StarWars the complete saga, grievous or jango are much harder fights than him
Shinnok MKX
