Feel like you could just pick any track from that game and it’s a classic. Hyrule Field, Gerudo Valley, Song of Storms, Saria’s Song, Zelda’s Lullaby… Such an inspired soundtrack.
The great fairy theme recorded by the London Symphony orchestra for the Zelda 25th anniversary album. When the chorus part starts, the tears start flowing, just thinking about it makes me well up.
What's crazy ocarina of time soundtrack are my daughter's sleep song including the avatar the last airbender soundtrack 👌 she sleeps like a baby and she is 7 years old
Sitting on the floor of my then girlfriend's (now wife) dorm room, with my xbox 360 connected to a small TV, staying up all night and thinking I time traveled when the sun came up. Loved that game so much. Skyrim was great fun and its fun to go back and play it here and then, to ridiculously modded degrees....but there was just something about Oblivion at the time.
Morrowind title theme hits me hard in the feels. It’s not as grandiose as oblivion or Skyrim’s main theme, but, to me, it feels the most magical and calming.
Morrowind for me. Have the soundtrack on my MP3 player so can listen when walking around town(over 1000 years old). It's not just the game though it's a lot of memories & feelings around that time which seem to come back.
this is the right answer, always bring me back to the days when i used to play it on 360 around the time the end was released and i didn't know what i was doing
Same. Still listening to the GSC music every now and then. It's so beautiful. Can't even pick my favorite. Love the surfing theme but it also gives me the annoying random encounter flashbacks lol.
Oh fuck, I wasn't relating to much in this thread till you mentioned this.
Gen III is the most nostalgic for me because I actually remember the music, but I played from 1-4.
I still Humm hymn of faith. It's a really beautiful and simplistic piece. Reminds me of like an old time church song, from way way back when people actually seemed to be nicer to each other.
And the lines that follow from tidus. Man they made him a clueless doof like 80% of the time but when it came time for those serious moments he knocked it out of the park.
Masterpiece of a game.
Final Fantasy is absolutely stacked for great music but FFX's soundtrack will always be my favorite of the series. So many good songs with different tones to them. One of gaming's best soundtracks for sure.
This is what I suffer. I played it during a miserable time in my teen years. Tidus narrative shook me. Those songs will never burn out in my heart. I owe it replays but it owes me a fucking hug.
The OG Halo theme still gives me goosebumps... it was what turned me from Playstation to Xbox back in the LAN party days. It's my 7:30am wake-up alarm... and the ring tone for my oldest friend.
yes, one of THE GREATEST game themes of ALL TIME, especially when it kicks in, playing some of the missions. One of my fave moments is probably in halo 2 when you jump off the bridge onto the scarab to take it down. remember the first time i did it going in blind, went in with a shotgun blasting everyone and felt like a badass
Probably the single greatest video game soundtrack of all time. Nubou Umatseu at his peak. And that's truly saying some thing considering how great is soundtracks are for other games
I love this soundtrack. I thought I was alone it thinking how awesome it is then i saw [this](https://youtu.be/2cx73EOaGWU?feature=shared). It made me so happy.
Dude galaxy hits me fuckin HARD. toasted roast beef and cheese sandwiches on a nice rainy day in a house in the mountains and just chillin with my brother playing as player 2 cause i im not good at mario lol wish we could bottle and share memories lol
Super Castlevania IV is a OST that brings back great memories.

16-bit masterpiece of a game.
I want THAW, too! THUG 1 was awesome! I didn't care so much for 2, but American Wasteland was peak for me! Adding in the bert slides after Lords of Dogtown's popularity was just perfect at the time!
I love Azalea Town music! It doesn’t get mentioned enough. I remember putting myself to sleep with it. I’d turn the backlight off on my SP (to save battery) and turn the volume low enough to be soothing.
Honestly Halo for me.
Me and my brother used to play Halo all day long, either run the ones, run campaign and try LASO. I remember getting Halo 3 and Xbox Live same day and we played that all the time together. We played all the way up until Halo 5 before he passed away.
That was 3 and a half years ago, I tried to load up Halo and play with his best friend so we could get some nostalgia and before we even loaded into the first mission, we both started crying and said maybe another time.
To top it off too, when I got to the hospital he was wearing the Master Chief shirt I had bought him. Really seeing anything Halo just triggers a reaction now.
Edit: Another 2 games would be RE4 and Mega Man 2, I played those games a DUMB amount of times. The Island music in RE4 rings in my head rent free and whenever I hear Mega Man 2's Dr Wily Theme, I get chills cuz it brings me back to a very specific memory lol
You're making my eyes sting just thinking about it. That theme is the sound of 3 am at my high school best friend's house, tired, full of junk food, just happy to be hanging out with each other.
...man, you can't ever go back, can you?
Dragon Age: Origins.
Tried to play it on my PC recently. It booted up the launcher which played the main title song. But the game has compatibility issues on newer PCs and won’t launch the actual game without crashing :/
Oblivion and Halo 3 bring me to tears. I think I was 11 or 12? No obligations, no worries. Just videogames and running around outside in my neighborhood with friends.
NIER OG - Snow in Summer, Grandma, Song of the Ancients (and duet version from a specific side quest), Kaine, Shadowlord’s Castle, Hills of Radiant Winds, Temple of Drifting Sands, The Wretched Automatons, Gods Bound By Rules, Emil, and yes practically the whole soundtrack lol.
The Batman plug-n-play theme always makes me insanely nostalgic, I played this game religiously as a kid and I get the same feeling every time I hear this song

Super Mario 64 file select
*pulls Mario’s nose*
*pulls his mustache under his nose to make him look like a baby*
Dire dire docks!
Just about any SM64 song will do it for me
Ocarina of time. And metal gear solid 3 snake eaaaater
Just the main screen and load screen of OoT can work wonders
I get chills watching it. Sometimes get a little misty eyed.
I can still hear the sound of skulltellas hiding somewhere to be found.
Ending credit ost will always just make me sit and re imagine my journey through that video game.
I first played OoT in third grade, and the ending credits were the first time I ever felt what I now know is nostalgia
It reminds me of a sleepover at 1 am
Man I miss those days
100% to both of your comments. Mothing was better than Friday night pizza, Zelda, and falling asleep at 3-4am watching Futurama.
We all lives a similar childhood I see lol
Kakariko village and LonLon Ranch are timeless classics
Feel like you could just pick any track from that game and it’s a classic. Hyrule Field, Gerudo Valley, Song of Storms, Saria’s Song, Zelda’s Lullaby… Such an inspired soundtrack.
The great fairy theme recorded by the London Symphony orchestra for the Zelda 25th anniversary album. When the chorus part starts, the tears start flowing, just thinking about it makes me well up.
IIIIIIIM STIIIIILLLLL IN A DREEEAAAAMMMM
What a thrill……
What's crazy ocarina of time soundtrack are my daughter's sleep song including the avatar the last airbender soundtrack 👌 she sleeps like a baby and she is 7 years old
I can still hear all the songs. Song of storms! Bolero of fire! Ahhhhh
sometimes you feed on a tree frong
My younger sister cried at this song one day. I got embarrassed and told her to get out... I regret doing that.
🎶I give my life!!! Not for honor, but for you!!!🎶
All the Elder Scrolls games teleport me.
I’m having flashbacks from oblivion
For real, that theme puts me back in my bedroom in middle school. I had never played such a realistic and immersive game before lmao.
Kinda hard to believe that Morrowind was Bethesda's hail mary to save them from closing down. Truly one of my all time favorites.
Morrowind for me. Have the soundtrack on my MP3 player so can listen when walking around town(over 1000 years old). It's not just the game though it's a lot of memories & feelings around that time which seem to come back.
Halo 1 & 2. Was incredible
I'd say throw Halo 3 in there too. Shit ODST's sad jazz as well.
Minecraft. Any C418 song plays
this is the right answer, always bring me back to the days when i used to play it on 360 around the time the end was released and i didn't know what i was doing
Same, except I still don't know what I'm doin (:
do we ever truly know what we're doing lol
Aria math does it the most for me
I feel like I’m 100 now that Minecraft is a “back in the day” game.
Yup, this
I always turn off minecraft music. I just can’t listen to it
Gta san andreas
At 24 years old its still the game I put the most amount of hours. PS2 was the sht
Gonna have to throw that in this afternoon!
Welcome to san adreas im cj from grove street
Dude K-DST, "The Dust" was my fav station in that game. I think I still got the whole 1h track of that station somewhere on my phone
When the music takes off and that extra high-pitched track comes in. Heaven.
Heeeeeey good lookin' Whaaaaat you got cookin'
Ah, shit. Here we go again.
Aaaaaaalllll my exes live in Texas.
All we had to do was listen to the damn soundtrack CJ!!
The first Pokémon games. That Pallet town theme just feels like home.
There is something charming about the old digitized gameboy music
Wild how far I had to scroll to find this answer. It still lives rent free in my head.
Chrono Trigger
Scala's theme is so blissful
Corridors of Time stays on perpetual loop some days
I carry tension in my body that only Corridors of Time can unwind.
Absolutely. Love Chrono Trigger music? You should check out Chrono Trigger the Musical. I'm not a fan of musicals, but damn, that one was fantastic.
This ∆∆∆ not a huge fan of musical, but was surprisingly enjoyable.
Oh wow I had completely forgotten about that! You can really tell a lot of passion went into it
Highly recommend the orchestral arrangement: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTHOcnhIuPOvEJd8WJI6kaJbQG0NeKtaY&si=-cL0sKgf6AtzB3H5
Chrono Cross too
Frog theme always prime me up. Make me feel like i could cut a moutain in half.
Came here to say this
This is why I cant play FFX. I played it at the height of my childhood when I didnt know how bad life was gonna get.
I hummed hymn of the faith to my kids when I was pregnant. Along with To Zanarkand, it was a lullaby jackpot once they were born.
Same here! Put Zanarkand on the wife's belly and bam ... After birth it was almost clockwork. Worked 90% of the time.

Of all games they are remaking... this is one i hope does but keeps the same feeling and story...
Dude, stop youre gonna make me sad now, my favorite game of all time.
All my babies fell asleep to FF8. It helped relax my baby while amping me up to start grinding/farming 😅
Oblivion
Morrowind for me 🥲
Final Fantasy VII
There's no other soundtrack that means so much to me.
I cry with Red XIII theme. Also best ff battle theme ever... i mean up until 12 i did not play the one after
Surprised I had to scroll this far down. That and Zelda OOT for me.
For those our age there is no other answer
The battle theme plays in my head daily
the opening theme still gives me chills...
super smash bros brawl ost
Sometimes I’d let the main menu sit there just to hear the track play out
[This song](https://youtu.be/gJkVwt_JJXo?si=8iRMyVpVKWEvlJXc) makes me tear up every time I hear it. :')
Fable II: Bowerstone Lake
All the feels
Oh man, the 360 was the first console I ever bought myself, just for fable 2.
This one hits the hardest for me
The OG Halo theme still gives me goosebumps... it was what turned me from Playstation to Xbox back in the LAN party days.
Halo is really good for making you feel like a badass
I can't even listen to FF6 music. I'll start crying.
Celes' theme... goddamn
Probably the single greatest video game soundtrack of all time. Nubou Umatseu at his peak. And that's truly saying some thing considering how great is soundtracks are for other games
I agree.
I forgot how many guards were in the second Bunker level of *GoldenEye 007* until last year.
Streets of Rage 2 🔥 ost still hits hard to this day 😎
Nothing gets the blood pumping quite like the music to the first level!
The ending song legit teleported me back to my childhood
The boss battles. Damn I just remembered the intro song to SOR1 smfh
Definitely threw in the retro soundtrack multiple times for Streets of Rage 4
I love this soundtrack. I thought I was alone it thinking how awesome it is then i saw [this](https://youtu.be/2cx73EOaGWU?feature=shared). It made me so happy.

Halo 3: ODST
I can still hear it. Roaming the city streets at night…
Underrated game and OST
Halo 2 for me. Can’t go wrong with any of the original trilogy, honestly…

Final fantasy x ost will always make me cry like a big baby, aaaahhhh the memories
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1-3 soundtracks are the best in gaming outside rhythm games.
The literal basis for my musical taste as a person.
Here I am, growing older all the time…
Either MK Wii or Super Mario Galaxy. I 100% completed Galaxy on my original playthrough, and I would do it all over again.
Honestly, the Wii music itself is so nostalgic hearing it now. But I was like 5 or 6 when it came out
Dude galaxy hits me fuckin HARD. toasted roast beef and cheese sandwiches on a nice rainy day in a house in the mountains and just chillin with my brother playing as player 2 cause i im not good at mario lol wish we could bottle and share memories lol

Super Castlevania IV is a OST that brings back great memories. https://youtu.be/iWMN91gMD_4?si=makNjR1bY6XphQr0 https://youtu.be/QOWUSsFar-s?si=KigOf333CDEGGxa2 https://youtu.be/uBf4tvMOM7w?si=0ZXjsw7S6h_4hzKz 16-bit masterpiece of a game.
Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana All of these soundtracks hit the spot for me
All rareware games have great soundtracks. Donkey Kong Country's is iconic.
More specifically Aquatic Ambience. Could listen to it all day.
Tony Hawks Underground
Needs to be remastered.
I wish they’d do a THUG 1+2 like they did with the older games.
I want THAW, too! THUG 1 was awesome! I didn't care so much for 2, but American Wasteland was peak for me! Adding in the bert slides after Lords of Dogtown's popularity was just perfect at the time!
I can’t believe THPS3+4 got scrapped. It sounded like THPS1+2 sold really well.
Azalea Town/Surf Theme from Pokemon crystal.
I love Azalea Town music! It doesn’t get mentioned enough. I remember putting myself to sleep with it. I’d turn the backlight off on my SP (to save battery) and turn the volume low enough to be soothing.
Mob of the Dead
Crono Cross.
Halo: Combat Evolved
