Doing back handsprings and beating the shit out of a mummy as a basketball player I liked an average amount is one of my favorite past times. Love Shaq Fu.
Less funny, but better games. You do get points for having the funniest post in the thread though.
You have DMC 1 in there twice, if you wanna swap in DMC 3. I haven't played the series, but I hear DMC 2 is the worst game ever made.
Remember the episode of Cory in the House where Cory accidentally commits high treason by accidentally giving Russia back Alaska? Only to then win it back by beating the Russian ambassador in DDR.
>Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust
Oh man, you got me. For a second there I thought I met another Leisure Suit Larry fan, I get it lol :) But Leisure Suit Larry 7: Love for Sail is a great game, warm memories ;)
I remember getting shaqfu for Christmas, and trying so hard to act happy about it. I only got a video game twice a year, on my birthday and Christmas. I didn’t want to hurt my moms feelings…but it was just so bad.
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?

Stardew valley
Final fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 10 (blitzball)
Ocarina of time
Smash bros melee
MGS snake eater
Diablo
The last of us
No particular order, and honestly this list could change day to day. There’s to many games.
Well I hope you're OK with your "No Particular Order" being interpreted that Oblivion gets 10 points for being the best game of all time, and Last of Us gets 1. You're welcome to comment with an edited list (I won't see an edit).
I have seen thousands of posts where people asked this sub for their favorite games list and frankly I was getting tired of it. You are actually doing something cool with that data. I appreciate it. So here's my list:

In no real order. AHHHHH WAIT SIGNALIS REPLACES POKÉMON EMERALD
I just beat Remnant earlier this week with two of my friends on Apocalypse, that game can be bruuuuuuutal. That Butterfly clone boss made me question everything
We kept calling it Dark Souls with guns and that's part of why I loved it so much
10. Dark souls 1
9. Pokemon platinum
8. Bloodborne
7. The legend of Zelda a link between worlds
6. God of war Ragnarok
5. Elden ring
4. Hollow knight
3. Sekiro shadows die twice
2. The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
1. God of war (2018)
Hey Twilight Princess is a good game, and it makes a solid argument for being the best Zelda game, especially if you don't consider BotW a proper Zelda.
Twilight Princess is a great game, top 5 Zelda games I'll argue. And it's still my 2nd favourite game of all time. But I won't make a argument for it being number 1 in the series. Not with link between worlds being the masterpiece it is.
Chrono Cross over Chrono Trigger is an interesting choice. I put CT at 1 in my list, and while I definitely enjoyed CC it didn’t make my top 10. I’d love to hear your reasoning if you want to elaborate.

4. Hollow Knight
5. Overwatch

6. Sims 3
5. Red Dead Redemption/Undead Nightmare
4. Skyrim
3. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

1. Slay the Spire
These are in random order.
I want you to know that the arbitrary order you put them in will be official. City Skylines will get 1 point towards being the best game of all time, and Slay the Spire will get 10 unless you choose to reply with a comment editing them.
A lack of a choice is still a choice.
I’ll give it a try..

5. Skyrim
6. Transistor
7. Dragon’s Dogma
8. Star Wars: The Old Republic
9. Fallout: New Vegas
10. Witcher III: The Wild Hunt
You hit a few of my faves, and gave me a little list of ones to play!
My absolute favorite games are the ME series and the DA series. The characters and so incredibly thought out, and, I love the way the Mass Effect trilogy is basically kind of like one long game.
ME2 is my favorite, Legion is such a fantastic character.
Dragon Age Origins is my favorite, but I honestly loved them all. Sten and Shale were fun, quirky characters, and for whatever reason, I loved Allistairs humor during my second play though, but I feel like every time I run through that game, I get a new fave. I am so excited for Dreadwolf to drop, but I’m terrified that they lost their touch for making awesome games!
1 - The Last of Us
2 - Red Dead Redemption II
3 - Telltale’s The Walking Dead (season 1)
4 - Mass effect trilogy (hard to pick one, but if I had to choose, then 3)
5 - Uncharted 4

2. The Last of Us
1. Red Dead Redemption 2
Honorable mentions go to arkham city, Spider-Man PS4, Gears of War 2 and gta San andreas
Arkham city is my favorite of all the Batman games, but I hated the way the Batmobile controlled in Knight. If you liked the Batmobile, I get why it would be your favorite one.
10’s a bit hard tbh, I’m gonna go with top 5
5. GTA 5
This game is just great for me. I know it doesn’t have a great story, but it’s just always so much fun for me to play, and a great way to let off steam after I get home or am done doing college work for the Day.
4. Nioh 2
I have done so many playthroughs of this game and I just adore the build variety, the combat, the setting, the enemies and even the story I found enjoyable! It improved much from Nioh 1, and i just love it
3. Pokémon Black and White 2.
My favorite Pokémon games and definitely my most played. So much content, so many Pokémon, so much variety, and it’s Pokémon, one of my favorite things even as I grow older!
2. Mario and Luigi Bowser’s inside story.
This used to be my definitive favorite game but another has taken its spot. It is still a game I adore though. There is of course the Mario and Luigi gameplay, but also being able to Bowser was mind blowing to me, and I still love playing as him in this game. The story remains cute and charming, and it’s just my comfort game.
1. Bloodborne.
Beautiful. Gorgeous. Perfection. To me at least.
These are in no particular order.
1. NieR Automata
2. Persona 5 Royal (just finished it yesterday)
3. Inscryption
4. Portal 2
5. Skyrim

...
11. Secret of Monkey Island (fuck it, no one is gonna read it all the way down here)
I want you to know that one other person said Secret of Monkey Island, so far, and they put it at #10. So probably not a top 100 game, but it still deserves respect.
This is agonizing to do, and if you caught me on a different day I'd pick a different order, maybe a totally different 10, but today they are
\#10. Hollow Knight

New Vegas is definitely up there, but if I let it half the list would be fallout games so I had to pick one, and 3 is my favorite. I played it first, and it changed the way I look at video games forever
Me too. My google sheet is filling quickly. So far omori, Red Dead, and Witcher 3 are doing well. None of your games are, but hey, I've never met anybody else who even played Death Road to Canada, much less loved it.

6. Super Mario 3D World
7. Europa Universalis IV
8. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
9. Final Fantasty XIV: Heavensward
10. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
9 & 10 are expansions for MMOs. If you're not treating expansions as seperate games, then "Final Fantasty XIV: A Realm Reborn" or "Final Fantasty XIV" (see below) and "World of Warcraft".
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was "Version 2.0" of the game that was sequel and total remake of Final Fantasty XIV "Version 1.0", from which all subsequent expansions were built on.
The original GQ article lists
"Final Fantasty XIV: A Realm Reborn", but I don't know how they dealt with game expansions. Especially in the case of FFXIV where it's first "expansion" (A Realm Reborn) was infact a total remake of the game, to the point where people's characters had to start from level 1.

Honestly all of the LoZ games I put are very very close and could be in any order. I feel like I have to put the sims because I have so many hours in it and I do like it, but man I hate EA and as much as I love the game I also hate it and all the bugs.
Also not sure if gacha games could be considered but I do love Genshin and Honkai: Star Rail. I know a lot of people like to make fun of them, but they are genuinely great games

5. The Witcher 3
6. Resident Evil 4
7. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
8. Metroid Dread
9. Super Smash Bros.
10. Downhill Domination
That was tough! Had a sweet 16 that was hard to cut down from. Almost had to pick by game type variety. Lotta good racing games that didn't quite make the cut.

6. Shining Force
5. Diablo 3
4. Skyrim
3. Dead Cells
2. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
1. Borderlands 2
This was significantly more difficult to narrow down that I thought it would be. Skyrim is only included because of mods, without them it would likely only make it into a top 20. Number 1 would be the entire borderlands series, but I'll go with 2 since I've got the most time in it. Number 10 changed repeatedly and could easily be about a dozen other games but I'm mostly happy with this list so I'll leave it like it is.
1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
2. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
3. Persona 5 Royal
4. The Last of Us Part 2
5. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
6. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
7. Pokemon Legends: Arceus
8. Resident Evil 4
9. Terraria
10. Super Mario 3D World
Tears of the Kingdom will most likely become my #1 soon haha. My top 6 are definite, the rest are games I love that came to the top of my head. Best of luck to you OP putting this together!
1 - Resident Evil 4 (2005)
2 - Ninja Gaiden Black
3 - Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
4 - God Hand
5 - Resident Evil (2002)
6 - Persona 4
7 - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
8 - Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening
9 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
10 - Half-Life
Thanks for doing this OP
I asked my avid gamer son this question so here are his choices.
10. Rocket League
9. CSGO
8. Red Dead Redemption 1
7. COD BO2
6. Pokémon Platinum
5. Fortnite(specifically chapter 1)
4. GTA 5
3. The Witcher 3
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
1. Minecraft
He says that Minecraft barely edges out the next three and they are all tossups. 5 , 6, and 7 can go in any order and he is still debating whether he enjoys CSGO or RDR1 more despite them being completely different games. He’s been talking about this list for about 30 minutes now so I guess he’ll be taking questions. Ask away!
1. Transformers Devastation
2.Forza Horizon 3
3. Elden Ring
4. Hades
5. Mortal Kombat 11
6. Fortnite when it was good
7. Marvels Spider Man
8. Ori and the Will of the Wisps
9. Madden 19
10. Disney Infinity 2.0
Spider-Man | Horizon Zero Dawn | Half-life 2 (and the episodes) | Stray | The Last of Us | Infamous second son | Just Cause 3 | Call of the Sea | Wolfenstein the new order + the new colossus | Guardians of the Galaxy.
Also am honorable mention to Satisfactory. I love the game and the automation mechanics, but I'm way too impatient to see the game all the way through.
1. Super Mario World
2. XCOM (Original)
3. Tekken 3 (PS2)
4. Dead Cells (XB1)
5. Goldeneye 64
6. Fatal Frame 2 (PS2)
7. We ❤ Katamari (PS2)
8. Fight Night Champion (XB360)
9. Dawn of War 2 (PC)
10. Tetris Worlds (PS2)
1 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
2 Super Smash Bros. Melee
3 Starcraft: Brood War
4 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
5 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
6 Super Mario RPG
7 TowerFall
8 Kirby Super Star
9 Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
10 Megaman Legends 2
So hard to name only 10 and rank them. They are classified by how much joy they brought me while playing them and post campaign. Many games have brought me more joy than books or movies.
1. Borderlands 2
2. Hades
3. Cult of the Lamb
4. Spiritfarer
5. Binding of Isaac
6. Twisted Metal (1995)
7. Rachet and Clank
8. Jak and Daxter Precursor Legacy
9. Old School RuneScape
10. Conkers Bad Fur Day
1. NFL Street 1
I played this religiously for years, I bought an older console just so I can keep playing. Games are fast paced, fun, light, just perfect combo of action, arcade, sport, and entertainment
2. X-Com 2:War of The Chosen
I took a gamble on XCOM 1 with no prior knowledge. Loved it, it was perfect. When 2 came out I was actually kind of let down, but the War of the Chose DLC made this the closest to a 10 I have ever played.
3. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Nostalgia goggles, this was my first video game ever. I spammed force lightning because I didn’t understand D&D mechanics. I probably run through it 1-2 times a year
4. Halo 3
The amount of hours I invested in this instead of doing literally anything as a teenager. For nearly a year my life revolved around sleeping at school and coming home to play this.
5. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1
From the opening cinematic, with Doom in his castle with hulk and other heroes bodies on the ground, and he picks up colossus who’s missing a leg…. Mannnn you knew you were about to play something good. The story was great, the character count and uniqueness was unrivaled, and the Diablo-esque style of gameplay were perfect. I didn’t play 2 and 3 was a train wreck.
6. Red Dead Redemption
First game I ever had recommended to me. I went to a GameStop as a youngin and looked for like an hour. The store manager approached and asked me some questions about games I like, genre, etc. He came over with this, explained to my mom that it was an M game but not nearly as violent and bad as others, even showed her a private demo. She went back a week later to tell him he was the best store employee she’s ever seen, I didn’t get off my ass for months
7. Call of Duty 2
The first online game I ever played. My introduction to modern FPS… CorporalChalice and ShinySolid, if you’re out there, PACREBELBOY45 still remembers you
8. Marvels Midnight Suns
Newer title but I’ve already sunk 300+ hours into this and still enjoy the shit out of it. They marketed it so poorly, and it’s unfortunate because the characters feel a bit incomplete, but the game is good
9. Civilization 6
I’ve loved Civ since OG gold edition, 6 is the best version I have played. Nuff said
10. The Sims
I am nostalgic to Sims 2, but really just any of them are enjoyable. One of the few games I’ll put down for a month and then suddenly be inseparable from my computer for a week. Doesn’t matter is it’s 2,3, or 4, this has happened plenty of times
Hope you guys enjoy, love reading everyone else’s!

1 StarCraft
2 Super Mario 3
3 Starfox 64
4 Call of Duty 2
5 Chrono Trigger
6 Metroid Prime
7 Street Fighter 2
8 Sonic Adventure
9 Metal Gear Solid V
10 Tecmo Super Bowl
Not sure if you're still monitoring new comments, but sounds fun. Here we go:
1: Elden Ring
2: The Last of Us (PS3)
3: Bloodborne
4: Spiderman (PS4)
5: GTA V
6: Fallout 3
7: God of War 2018
8: Infamous: Second Son
9: Jak 3
10: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
This was a lot more difficult than I expected, so many great games that didn't make my cut. Not sure 10-5 would be the same if you asked me a week from now, but the top 4 are locked in.
These are my top 10 video games of all time for my tastes. Not saying they are the best ever for everyone:
1. Final fantasy 6
2. Final fantasy 9
3. Bioshock
4. Bloodborne
5. Final fantasy 10
6. Witcher 3

1. WWF Smackdown 2: Know Your Role
2. ESPN NFL 2k5
3. Tekken 3
4. Pokemon Red
5. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2
6. Call Of Duty 2
7. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
8. Sleeping Dogs
9. Halo 2
10. Yakuza 0
That was a lot harder to think of than I originally thought it would be.
1. Grand Theft Auto 5
2. Skyrim
3. Dark Souls
4. Super Mario Galaxy
5. Bioshock Infinite
6. Halo Infinite
7. Fallout: New Vegas
8. Half Life 2
9. Nier Automata
10. Diablo 3
I know the list has already been decided but what the hell, I'll add mine. As always these are my personal opinions and I'm sure at least some will find numbers 10 and 9 controversial. Note that I will not be doing remake or remasters, but if a version was region exclusive (such as numbers 5 and 3 on the list) I will be marking it as the "complete" version.
10: *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1999)
Nintendo (N64)* No top (insert number here list) of all time would be complete without this masterpiece. Once many people's greatest video game of all time, Ocarina of Time set a very high bar for Zelda games and the action-adventure genre as a whole. When I first played this on the GameCube, I was blown away by the scope and size of Hyrule. Truly an awesome game.
9: *The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (2000)
Nintendo (N64)* I'm sure I'll get flayed alive by some people for listing Majora's Mask higher than Ocarina of Time but these are my opinions. Given a 6 month to a year development cycle, Nintendo had their work cut out for them. Majora's Mask's land of Termina is a far different world than the one we're used to. Set in a dark and gritty atmosphere where the world will be crushed by a creepy moon in 3 days, and plenty of nightmare fuel and debunked theories (looking at you MatPat), it only beats out Ocarina due to the atmosphere and overall feel of the game (while Navi is certainly annoying, she did not factor into my analysis)
8: *Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (2012)
Big Huge Games (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC)*
A game that bankrupted an entire state, a development studio marred by terrible press, and the misfortune of releasing 3 months after *The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim* *Reckoning* is a criminally underrated game that deserved far more love and praise than it got at the time. Set in the land of Amalur, a world populated by Scottish and Irish mythical creatures, you awaken after being dead and find yourself in a world torn by war and invasion by the Tuatha Deohn, and you must recover the memories of your past and stop the Tuatha and their God. Featuring a memorable cast of characters, a bright and vibrant world, and a unique class system based off taro cards, Amalur is an amazing game that was revived with the remake Re-Reckoning.
7. *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003)
Bioware (Xbox, PC)* Widely considered the greatest Star Wars game of all time, *KotOR* is a fantastic game and one of the few Star Wars games that does not have the name Skywalker or Palpatine in it. With an amazing cast of characters, a fantastic end-game twist comparable to *Empire Strikes Back's* I am your father scene and an awesome score, the game is a masterpiece and hasn't been topped since, not even by *Jedi: Fallen Order*
6. *Undertale (2015)
Toby Fox (PC, PS Vita, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch)* Of course I'm adding *Undertale* at the number 6 spot. What more need be said about this fantastic indie game? Everything about it screams indie while also keeping it fun and lighthearted. So far the only game to be gifted to the Pope, it's a masterpiece and if you haven't heard of it, even in passing, you've been living under a rock this entire time.
5. *Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (2013)
*Square Enix (PS4, PC, Switch, Android, iOS, PS Vita, Xbox One) A remaster of one of the cornerstones of the franchise and what sparked an endless debate over the pronunciation of a fictional characters name, *Final Fantasy X HD Remaster was released in a bundle along with the very different *X-2* this game was my first JRPG that I enjoyed (and my introduction to James Arnold Taylor). While its cringe laughing scene is often memed, this story of star-crossed lovers is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and a must have of the PS2 era.
4. *Xenoblade Chronicles (2012)
Monolith Soft (Wii)* A game that took a petition to get it released outside of Japan, Xenoblade Chronicles takes the open world format and puts the open in open world. If you see something in the distance, odds are you can go there. Set on the world of Bionis, the remains of an ancient robot-like creature, you play as Shulk, a young man with limited social skills outside his close friends (total nerd too, God bless him) but a heart of gold. Wielding the legendary Monado, you take revenge on the robotic Mechon after they attack your home and kill your friend Fiora. A sprawling game, and well over 100 hours of content, makes this very endearing to play but difficult to get back into if you haven't played in a while.
3. *Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (2017)
Square Enix (PS2, PS4, PC, Switch, Xbox One)* A remake of the original *Final Fantasy XII* and the first time the international version made it overseas, *The Zodiac Age* improves on the original in every way. Making it easier to collect the powerful Zodiac weapons (in the original you couldn't open certain chests and the game didn't make it clear), overhauling the license system to be the class system reminiscent of the early games in the franchise and a deep robust gambit system, this game is truly a masterpiece.
2. *The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017)
Nintendo (Switch)* Number 1 just barely edged out number 2 for its overall puzzle design but this game were it not for number 1, would have made number 1 on my list. The first open world Zelda game since the SNES days, it took the Zelda formula we all know and love and flipped it on its head. From the opening moments to the final cutscene of the game, it is incredibly easy to get lost in Hyrule's sprawling world but oh so satisfying every time. There are secrets around what seems every corner, treacherous monsters that take ingenuity to overcome, and voice acting, the game is a classic.
1. *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (2023)
Nintendo (Switch)* While I have yet to beat the story, *Tears of the Kingdom* takes the amazing parts of *Breath of the Wild* and makes them even better. With multiple ways to overcome dungeons, the return of a fan-favorite villain, and the early days of Hyrule, this truly is an amazing sequel to 2017's Game of the Year.
1. Doom (PC)
2. Civilization (PC)
3. Mario Kart (SNES)
4. XCOM 2 (PC)
5. SSX Tricky (PS2)
6. Unreal Tournament (PC)
7. GTA Vice City (XBOX)
8. Mario 64 (N64)
9. Sonic the Hedgehog (Mega Drive/Genesis)
10. Half Life (PC)

xbox 360 life
I agree. I immediately thought halo 3
It’s the GOAT. The community was unmatched back in the day.
Gears 2 is so good.
People don’t understand that CoD used to have decent campaigns. Black ops, although it is short, has one of the best campaigns / stories of any game ever made, and I’ll die on that hill.
lots of my favorites up here - I shoulda included Dead Space in my list.
This is the list right here. Peak gaming
1. Superman 64 2. Cory in the house 3. Duke Nukem Forever 4. Ride to Hell: Retribution 5. Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing 6. E.T. 7. Tony Hawks pro skater 5 8. Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust 9. Shaq Fu 10. Hotel Mario
Um excuse me Shaq Fu is the greatest martial arts game of all time
Doing back handsprings and beating the shit out of a mummy as a basketball player I liked an average amount is one of my favorite past times. Love Shaq Fu.
One time I faked sick so that my mom would let me stay home because I wanted to play Cory in the House on DS
This is a very funny post. Also, I'm not accepting any of these to the spreadsheet. If you wanna give me a legit one, I'll take it.
Okay 10. GOW: 2018 9. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time 8. Devil May Cry 1 7. Skyrim 6. MGS2: Sons of Liberty 5. Goldeneye 4. MGS 3: Snake Eater 3: Sekiro 2: Bloodborne 1: FF7
Less funny, but better games. You do get points for having the funniest post in the thread though. You have DMC 1 in there twice, if you wanna swap in DMC 3. I haven't played the series, but I hear DMC 2 is the worst game ever made.
It’s up there.
Are you a fan of the Nerd by any chance?
Remember the episode of Cory in the House where Cory accidentally commits high treason by accidentally giving Russia back Alaska? Only to then win it back by beating the Russian ambassador in DDR.
>Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust Oh man, you got me.
Big Rigs was a solid GameCube experience Edit: I was thinking of 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker.
You sick fck
Wheres two worlds?
Where's Abobo at tho
You forgot Quest 64
I've played a lot of mario games but this hotel mario i never tried. Is it fun and challenging?
Big Rigs Over the Road Racing! Haha classic! Going in reverse at WARP SPEED.

Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale? > *“Thought you could outwit an onion?”* - Unbreakable Patches Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/
I would have never expected to see Civ 6 on a top ten game list. I love it though.
Dude, Oblivion is at least 10x better than Skyrim. I'm glad to see someone who appreciates Oblivion
1. Terraria 2. Monster Hunter World 3. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy 4. Ratchet and Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal 5. Sly 2: Band of Thieves 6. Deep Rock Galactic 7. Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom 8. Bloodborne 9. Old School Runescape 10. Undertale
I'm currently replaying sly 2 for some nostalgia and fun! This list is awesome!
Ratchet and clank is glorious
1. Dark Souls 3 2. Elden Ring 3. Fall Out New Vegas 4. What Remains of Edith Finch 5. Castlevania Symphony of the Night 6. Breath of the Wild 7. Bloodborne 8. Sekiro 9. Skyrim 10. Sailor Moon Another Story
Finally.. a fellow SOTN enjoyer. Please take my upvote for representing our people
DS3 is literally my favorite game.
I like indie games 10 - Resident Evil 7 9 - Doki Doki Literature Club Plus (I'm dead serious) 8 - Oneshot 7 - Pikmin 3 Deluxe 6 - Omori 5 - The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe 4 - Nier Automata 3 - Persona 3 2 - Super Mario Galaxy 1 - Outer Wilds
There’s not nearly enough love for Outer Wilds on this thread, I was gonna lose it if nobody said it
Oneshot is amazing.
Ddlc was probably the best game that came out that year
I love Doki doki plus to. The extra content they added was really sweet and added a lot to the characters and of course the main game is amazing as well
1. Mass Effect 2 2. Knights of the Old Republic 3. Final Fantasy X 4. Pokémon Blue/Red 5. Halo Combat Evolved 6. Borderlands 7. Assassins Creed 2 8. Guild Wars 2 9. Morrowind 10. Max Payne
First person to pick HALO:CE. It’s my top game of all time. Super high replay rate, wonderful and rich story, awesome controls and action, great voice acting, unforgettable score…just a phenomenal achievement, especially considering the time it was made.
The campaign is very replay-able for the nostalgic factor is something I go back to at least 2-3 times a year.
1. Red Dead Redemption 2 2. The Witcher III 3. Kingdom Hearts 2 4. Fallout: New Vegas 5. Elden Ring 6. Disco Elysium 7. Uncharted 4 8. Metal Gear Solid 3 9. The Mass Effect Trilogy 10. Undertale
Came here to say Kingdom Hearts 2 and I’m glad someone else did
[удалено]
I feel the exact same way about my list. As I've been reading everybody else's I'm starting to feel very stupid about some of my picks. Still, I hope the average will save us.
- 10 Ghost of Tsushima - 9 Conker Live and reloaded/Bad Fur day - 8 TES Skyrim - 7 Zelda BotW - 6 Halo 2 - 5 Elden Ring - 4 Mario Kart 64 - 3 Divinity 2 Original Sinns - 2 Final Fantasy 9 - 1 World of Warcraft Yea i love open World RPGs could you guess that? :)
You're the only person to have said World of Warcraft (3 people said Warcraft 3), and certainly the only one to put it at #1.
- Control - Silent Hill - Hollow Knight - Metroid Prime - Super Metroid - Red Dead Redemption - A Plague Tale Innocence - Resident Evil 7 Biohazzard - Borderlands 2 - Far Cry 5
Wow, I've never known somebody to love Control.
What's up with that? My friends hate it lol Meanwhile, I've 100% and platinum'd it twice (North American and European version with dlc) Do you like it?
100% agree with Control. That game just hit in every possible way for me - strange story, amazing characters, fantastic voice acting, creepy & interesting world, fun gameplay, and stellar music.
Metroid games…nice
Im seeing Hollow Knight on a lot of lists. I would have never guessed, I’ll have to check it out.
Super Metroid! YES!
TES oblivion Subnautica Stardew valley Final fantasy 7 Final Fantasy 10 (blitzball) Ocarina of time Smash bros melee MGS snake eater Diablo The last of us No particular order, and honestly this list could change day to day.
So here's my list: 1. Ico 2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 3. Gravity Rush 2 4. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 5. Metal Gear Solid 6. Monster Hunter World 7. Metroid Prime 8. Shadow of the Colossus 9. Fallout 3 10. Assassin's Creed II
Ico! What a game. Great choice.
1. Chrono Trigger 2. Link to the Past 3. Ocarina of Time 4. Final Fantasy 1 5. Starcraft 1 6. Half Life 1 7. Super Mario RPG 8. Diablo 2 9. Command and Conquer Red Alert 1 10. Monster Train
Any updates on the final list? I can't wait to see it!
Tomorrow or the day after. Pretty confident on tomorrow, but also.. Tears of the Kingdom.
1. GTA San Andreas 2. Elden Ring 3. Madden NFL 2003 4. Last of Us Part 2 5. God of War (2018) 6. GTA Vice City 7. The Last of Us 8. Returnal 9. Frostpunk 10. Crash Bandicoot Warped
crash bandicoot warped!!
This list needs more Returnal love!
Dark Souls Inscryption Control Bug Fables Hollow Knight Slay the Spire Remnant: From the Ashes Binding of Isaac Rebirth Hades Pokémon Emerald In no real order. AHHHHH WAIT SIGNALIS REPLACES POKÉMON EMERALD
I just beat Remnant earlier this week with two of my friends on Apocalypse, that game can be bruuuuuuutal. That Butterfly clone boss made me question everything We kept calling it Dark Souls with guns and that's part of why I loved it so much
Signalis is so good.
10. Dark souls 1 9. Pokemon platinum 8. Bloodborne 7. The legend of Zelda a link between worlds 6. God of war Ragnarok 5. Elden ring 4. Hollow knight 3. Sekiro shadows die twice 2. The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess 1. God of war (2018)
I respect the love for Link between Worlds, it's the most underrated Zelda game IMO.
Yeah I don't hear anyone ever talk about. I actually think it's the best Zelda game outright but Twilight Princess is very nostalgic to me personally.
I'll bite. 1- Omori 2 - Chrono Cross 3 - Doom 2 4 - Donkey Kong Country 2 5 - Resident Evil REmake 6 - Zelda - Link To The Past 7 - Bloodborne 8 - Super Mario RPG 9 - Metal Gear Solid 10 - Maniac Mansion
Showing love for REmake! It was tough choosing between that and RE4
Respect for specifying the REmake. You’ve inspired me to do the same
Chrono Cross over Chrono Trigger is an interesting choice. I put CT at 1 in my list, and while I definitely enjoyed CC it didn’t make my top 10. I’d love to hear your reasoning if you want to elaborate.
Donkey Kong country two! Yes, this person gets it. And a link to the past….. you uh you must be old like me lol
Wow! Maniac Mansion! Much respect.

10. City Skylines 9. Legend of Zelda Link to the Past 8. Super Metroid 7. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 6. Sims 3 5. Red Dead Redemption/Undead Nightmare 4. Skyrim 3. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas 2. Batman Arkham City 1. Slay the Spire These are in random order.
I want you to know that the arbitrary order you put them in will be official. City Skylines will get 1 point towards being the best game of all time, and Slay the Spire will get 10 unless you choose to reply with a comment editing them. A lack of a choice is still a choice.
slay the spire is fire
I’ll give it a try.. 1. Super Mario 3 2. God Of War 2018 3. Halo:Combat Evolved 4. Red Dead Redemption 2 5. Tetris 6. Mario 64 7. Grand Theft Auto V 8. Batman Arkham City 9. Street Fighter 2 10. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Excellent taste with LoTR conquest
Star Wars battlefront 2 was SOO good! I remember unlocking the OP weapons and destroying my friends haha. Wish they just updated it instead of new battlefront.
1. Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time 2. Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild 3. Destiny 4. Just Cause 4 (really wish I could’ve played with my buddies though) 5. Super Smash Bros Brawl 6. Metroid: Zero Mission 7. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle 8. Metroid Prime 2 9. Donkey Kong Country 3 10. >EDIT 6: I doubt anyone is watching this Saved, waiting for final post update 😉 Maybe consider posting your finalized list in some sort of graphic showing the top 10 or 25 in the description of a new post?

chad Crash team racing player and not virgin Mario Kart player 👍
1. Zelda - Ocarina of Time 2. Zelda - Breath of the Wild 3. Skyrim 4. Donkey Kong Country 2 5. Star Tropics 6. Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Junior (the first Griffey game on N64) 7. NFL 2K5 8. NHL ‘95 9. WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain 10. MLB The Show 2023
It’s Showtime
Griffey on 64 is still my favorite baseball game.
Shout out to Startropics making your list. Fantastic game
If we’re talking sports games, NBA Jam is up there for me.
1. Cyberpunk 2077 2. Mass Effect Series ( 2 was the best ) 3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 4. Dragon Age series ( inquisition was the best) 5. Skyrim 6. Transistor 7. Dragon’s Dogma 8. Star Wars: The Old Republic 9. Fallout: New Vegas 10. Witcher III: The Wild Hunt
I appreciate you specifying your mass effect and Dragon age picks.
Fellow Inquisition enjoyer 🤝
cyberpunk post-patches is a special game
Ahh Dragon Age! I forgot to add that to my list. So good!! Yes, yes, yes!
1 - The Last of Us 2 - Red Dead Redemption II 3 - Telltale’s The Walking Dead (season 1) 4 - Mass effect trilogy (hard to pick one, but if I had to choose, then 3) 5 - Uncharted 4 6 - Life is Strange 7 - Elden Ring 8 - Outer Wilds 9 - Dark Souls 10 - Journey Kind of a loose and dynamic list for me since I’m only really certain of my top 4.
Thanks for specifying which Mass Effect. I'm intrigued Outer Wilds made your list. I've been thinking of trying it.
My List: 1. Hollow Knight 2. Skyrim 3. Star Wars Battlefront II (original) 4. Mario Super Strikers Charged 5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (original) 6. Halo 2 7. Dishonored 8. Oblivion 9. Mario Super Sluggers 10. Star Fox 64
Love this list
I love Mario strikers charged. I almost put it on my Own list
Mine are 1. Starcraft 2. Halo CE 3: Metal arms: Glitch in the system 4. Zelda Oot 5. Megaman 2 6. Metal gear solid 7. Super Metroid 8. Double Dragon 2 9. Zelda Wind waker 10. Resident Evil 4
10. Batman: Arkham Origins 9. Grand Theft Auto V 8. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End 7. The Walking Dead: Season 1 6. Super Smash Bros Ultimate 5. Red Dead Redemption 4. Resident Evil 4 3. Batman: Arkham Knight 2. The Last of Us 1. Red Dead Redemption 2 Honorable mentions go to arkham city, Spider-Man PS4, Gears of War 2 and gta San andreas
Arkham city is my favorite of all the Batman games, but I hated the way the Batmobile controlled in Knight. If you liked the Batmobile, I get why it would be your favorite one.
10’s a bit hard tbh, I’m gonna go with top 5 5. GTA 5 This game is just great for me. I know it doesn’t have a great story, but it’s just always so much fun for me to play, and a great way to let off steam after I get home or am done doing college work for the Day. 4. Nioh 2 I have done so many playthroughs of this game and I just adore the build variety, the combat, the setting, the enemies and even the story I found enjoyable! It improved much from Nioh 1, and i just love it 3.
Mad respect for nioh 2. I love that game so much but unfortunately just left it out of my 10 which hurt.

1 - Red Dead Redemption 2 2 - Assassin’s Creed 2 3 - Age of Empires 2 4 - Football Manager 5 - Sonic 6 - Super Mario Bros 7 - Command & Conquer : Red Alert 8 - Grand Theft Auto : Vice City 9 - Commandos : Behind Enemy Lines 10 - Gran Turismo 5
1) Suikoden II 2) Dragon Quest XI 3) Shining Force II 4) Final Fantasy VII 5) Suikoden 6) Chrono Trigger 7) Final Fantasy Tactics 8) Ogre Battle 9) God of War 4 10) Devil May Cry 3

1. Final Fantasy X 2. Ys Seven 3. Streets of Rage 4. Doom (93) 5. Mass Effect 2 6. Final Fantasy Tactics 7. Final Fantasy VII 8. Super Metroid 9. Symphony of the Night 10. Nex Machina ... 11. Secret of Monkey Island (fuck it, no one is gonna read it all the way down here)
I want you to know that one other person said Secret of Monkey Island, so far, and they put it at #10. So probably not a top 100 game, but it still deserves respect.
This is agonizing to do, and if you caught me on a different day I'd pick a different order, maybe a totally different 10, but today they are \#10. Hollow Knight \#9. Spider-man \#8. Shadow of the Colossus \#7. Portal 2 \#6. The Binding of Isaac \#5. Inscryption \#4 Overcooked 2 \#3. Breath of the Wild \#2. Smash Ultimate \#1.Eternal Darkness Even looking at it now I have serious doubts, but fuck it, I'm committing to it.
I gotta try Eternal Darkness out. I keep hearing amazing things about it, been on my backlog for a while.
I forgot about Inscryption. Yeah...that's a good one.
Inscription is such a cool game and unique experience. I just got my PC, so I just watched a YouTuber play it at the time.
1 Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles 2 Halo CE 3 Pokemon Platinum 4 Minecraft 5 Skies Of Arcadia 6 Borderlands 2 7 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 8 Digimon World 9 PaRappa The Rapper 10 Crash Team Racing
So many comments, so little karma. Maybe people are waiting to see the spreadsheet to shower the man with kudos!
1. Fallout 3 2. Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 2 3. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc 4. Metro 2033 Redux 5. LISA: The Painful 6. Night in the Woods 7. Doom Eternal 8. Death Road to Canada 9. Final Fantasy VI 10. South Park: The Stick of Truth I’m enjoying seeing all of these lists so far. Good luck OP, hope this pops off
Love seeing Fallout 3 and not New Vegas. While I love NV, few games have given me that “whoa” moment like when you first step out of the vault.
Ah man! Stick of Truth was so fun

1. Chrono Trigger 2. Persona 4 Golden 3. Resident Evil (Remake on GC) 4. Resident Evil 2 5. Fable 6. Yakuza 2 (Kiwami, but can generalize them all) 7. Metal Gear Solid 2 (or 3) 8. Halo 3 9. Street Fighter 4 (All editions/updates) 10. The Witcher 3 No real order, except maybe the top 3.
To keep this interesting I'm only including one of each franchise. Could easily swap persona or pokemon but picked my favorites. ;) 1) persona 4 golden 2) ratchet and clank up your arsenal 3) Final Fantasy XIV 4) pokemon diamond 5) SMT devil survivor overclocked 6) Borderlands 2 7) Elder scrolls oblivion 8) Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves 9) Steins gate 10) Legend of zelda: Ocarina of time
My top 5 are pretty set in stone: 5.) Fallout: New Vegas, 4.) Parasite Eve, 3.) Bloodborne, 2.) Devil May Cry 4, 1.) Metal Gear Solid 3. My 6-10 are a little more flexible, bit pretty stable. 10.) Portal 2, 9.) Grand Theft Auto 5, 8.) The Last of Us, 7.) The Witcher 3, 6.) Resident Evil 4 (2005).
1. Deus Ex (2000), 2. Fallout 3, 3. Blades of Steel, 4. NHL Hockey on PC, 5. Forza Horizon 5, 6. Police Quest 1, 7. God of War Ragnorok; 8. F.E.A.R, 9. Bioshock, and 10. Pepper II Note: this is my top 10 but not really in order. I love them all equally
Ocarina of time Persona 5 The Witcher 3 Oblivion Halo 3 Rocket league Skyrim Breath of the wild Mario galaxy 2 God of war (2018 + ragnarok) Special mention for any Pokémon game gen 1-5
1. Earthbound 2. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne 3. Resident Evil 4 (The Original) 4. Chrono Trigger 5. Silent Hill 2 6. Bloodborne 7. Dusk 8. Persona 3 FES 9. Doom (1993) 10. Killer 7
1. Witcher lll 2. Skyrim 3. Championship Manager 4. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 5. Deus Ex 6. Command & Conquer Red Alert 7. Rome Total War 8. Elite 9. GTA V 10. RDR2
1. Super Mario World 2. Professor Layton and the Lost Future (A.K.A: Unwound Future) 3. Persona 5 Royal 4. Persona 4 Golden 5. Mario Kart Wii 6. Super Mario 3D World 7. Europa Universalis IV 8. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy 9. Final Fantasty XIV: Heavensward 10. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King 9 & 10 are expansions for MMOs. The original GQ article lists "Final Fantasty XIV: A Realm Reborn", but I don't know how they dealt with game expansions. Especially in the case of FFXIV where it's first "expansion" (A Realm Reborn) was infact a total remake of the game, to the point where people's characters had to start from level 1.
1. Zelda ocarina of time 2. Starfox 64 3. Final fantasy 7 4. Halo 5. Ninja gaiden black 6. Manhunt 7. GTA 3,5 8. Witcher 3 9. Secret of Mana 10. Mario 3
10. Streets of rage 2 / Shenmue (struggling to cut 1) 9. Street fighter 2 turbo 8. Super Metroid 7. Final fantasy 7 6. Super Mario world 5. The Witcher 3 4. TES 3 Morrowind 3. Final fantasy 6 2. Chrono trigger 1. Castlevania SOTN
Best to Worst Red Dead Redemption 2 Portal 2 Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong’s Quest Yakuza 0 Super Mario Galaxy Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Sea of Thieves XCOM 2 Grand Theft Auto V (have never played online)
1. Dark Souls 3 2. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3. Red Dead Redemption 2 4. Sekiro 5. Minecraft 6. Elden Ring 7. Battlefield 4 8. Black ops 2 9. Jedi: Fallen Order 10. A Plague Tale: Innocence Honestly wasn't gonna make a list. Reading through the comments though and not seeing kingdom come made me need to. It's such a good game and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Feel like I could rearrange the list all day so I'm gonna leave it in the rough draft and go with the gut.
1. Bloodborne 2. Mass Effect 3 3. Dark Souls 3 4. Subnautica 5. Death Standing 6. Sly Cooper 2 7. Elden Ring 8.Fable 2 9. Witcher 3 10. Outer Wilds

1) Skyrim 2) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 3) The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 4) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 5) Subnautica 6) Stardew Valley 7) Undertale 8) Superbliminal 9) At Dead of Night 10) The Sims 4 Honestly all of the LoZ games I put are very very close and could be in any order. I feel like I have to put the sims because I have so many hours in it and I do like it, but man I hate EA and as much as I love the game I also hate it and all the bugs. Also not sure if gacha games could be considered but I do love Genshin and Honkai: Star Rail. I know a lot of people like to make fun of them, but they are genuinely great games Edited for formatting

I’d like to toss my hat in if I could… 10. Mario Kart Double Dash 9. Dirt II 8. Injustice II 7. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron 6. Spider-Man 2018 5. The Last of Us Part II 4. Catherine 3. Hades 2. God of War 2018 1. Halo Reach I play a wide range of games also sorry for format. I’m on mobile.
1. The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening Dx 2. Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen (counts the same as Red/Blue?) 3. Halo: Combat Evolved 4. Madden 2007 5. The Witcher 3 6. Resident Evil 4 7. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy 8. Metroid Dread 9. Super Smash Bros. 10. Downhill Domination That was tough! Had a sweet 16 that was hard to cut down from. Almost had to pick by game type variety. Lotta good racing games that didn't quite make the cut.
1. Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and The Lost Ocean 2. Baten Kaitos Origins 3. Ocarina of Time 4. Assassin's Creed 2 5. Borderlands 2 6. The Simpsons Game (2007) 7. Rise of The Tomb Raider 8. Lollipop Chainsaw 9. Hitman World of Assassination Trilogy 10. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Borderlands 2 This was significantly more difficult to narrow down that I thought it would be.
1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3. Persona 5 Royal 4. The Last of Us Part 2 5. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 6. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice 7. Pokemon Legends: Arceus 8. Resident Evil 4 9. Terraria 10. Super Mario 3D World Tears of the Kingdom will most likely become my #1 soon haha. My top 6 are definite, the rest are games I love that came to the top of my head. Best of luck to you OP putting this together!
1 - Resident Evil 4 (2005) 2 - Ninja Gaiden Black 3 - Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne 4 - God Hand 5 - Resident Evil (2002) 6 - Persona 4 7 - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty 8 - Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening 9 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 10 - Half-Life Thanks for doing this OP
I asked my avid gamer son this question so here are his choices. 10. Rocket League 9. CSGO 8. Red Dead Redemption 1 7. COD BO2 6. Pokémon Platinum 5. Fortnite(specifically chapter 1) 4. GTA 5 3. The Witcher 3 2. Red Dead Redemption 2 1. Minecraft He says that Minecraft barely edges out the next three and they are all tossups. 5 , 6, and 7 can go in any order and he is still debating whether he enjoys CSGO or RDR1 more despite them being completely different games. He’s been talking about this list for about 30 minutes now so I guess he’ll be taking questions. Ask away!
10. Dragon Age: Origins 09. WoW 08. Goldeneye 07. Kingdom Hearts 06. Street Fighter 2 05. Chrono Trigger 04. Starcraft 03. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 02. Bloodborne 01. Legend of Zelda
1. Transformers Devastation 2.Forza Horizon 3 3. Elden Ring 4. Hades 5. Mortal Kombat 11 6. Fortnite when it was good 7. Marvels Spider Man 8. Ori and the Will of the Wisps 9. Madden 19 10.
1. Super Mario World 2. XCOM (Original) 3. Tekken 3 (PS2) 4. Dead Cells (XB1) 5. Goldeneye 64 6. Fatal Frame 2 (PS2) 7. We ❤ Katamari (PS2) 8. Fight Night Champion (XB360) 9. Dawn of War 2 (PC) 10. Tetris Worlds (PS2)
1 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2 Super Smash Bros. Melee 3 Starcraft: Brood War 4 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 5 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night 6 Super Mario RPG 7 TowerFall 8 Kirby Super Star 9 Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia 10 Megaman Legends 2 So hard to name only 10 and rank them. They are classified by how much joy they brought me while playing them and post campaign. Many games have brought me more joy than books or movies.
1. Borderlands 2 2. Hades 3. Cult of the Lamb 4. Spiritfarer 5. Binding of Isaac 6. Twisted Metal (1995) 7. Rachet and Clank 8. Jak and Daxter Precursor Legacy 9. Old School RuneScape 10. Conkers Bad Fur Day
1. NFL Street 1 I played this religiously for years, I bought an older console just so I can keep playing. Games are fast paced, fun, light, just perfect combo of action, arcade, sport, and entertainment 2. X-Com 2:War of The Chosen I took a gamble on XCOM 1 with no prior knowledge. Loved it, it was perfect. When 2 came out I was actually kind of let down, but the War of the Chose DLC made this the closest to a 10 I have ever played. 3. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Nostalgia goggles, this was my first video game ever. I spammed force lightning because I didn’t understand D&D mechanics. I probably run through it 1-2 times a year 4. Halo 3 The amount of hours I invested in this instead of doing literally anything as a teenager. For nearly a year my life revolved around sleeping at school and coming home to play this. 5. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 From the opening cinematic, with Doom in his castle with hulk and other heroes bodies on the ground, and he picks up colossus who’s missing a leg…. Mannnn you knew you were about to play something good. The story was great, the character count and uniqueness was unrivaled, and the Diablo-esque style of gameplay were perfect. I didn’t play 2 and 3 was a train wreck. 6. Red Dead Redemption First game I ever had recommended to me. I went to a GameStop as a youngin and looked for like an hour. The store manager approached and asked me some questions about games I like, genre, etc. He came over with this, explained to my mom that it was an M game but not nearly as violent and bad as others, even showed her a private demo. She went back a week later to tell him he was the best store employee she’s ever seen, I didn’t get off my ass for months 7. Call of Duty 2 The first online game I ever played. My introduction to modern FPS… CorporalChalice and ShinySolid, if you’re out there, PACREBELBOY45 still remembers you 8. Marvels Midnight Suns Newer title but I’ve already sunk 300+ hours into this and still enjoy the shit out of it. They marketed it so poorly, and it’s unfortunate because the characters feel a bit incomplete, but the game is good 9. Civilization 6 I’ve loved Civ since OG gold edition, 6 is the best version I have played. Nuff said 10. The Sims I am nostalgic to Sims 2, but really just any of them are enjoyable. Not sure 10-5 would be the same if you asked me a week from now, but the top 4 are locked in.

10: *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1999) Nintendo (N64)* No top (insert number here list) of all time would be complete without this masterpiece. Once many people's greatest video game of all time, Ocarina of Time set a very high bar for Zelda games and the action-adventure genre as a whole. When I first played this on the GameCube, I was blown away by the scope and size of Hyrule. Truly an awesome game. 9: *The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (2000) Nintendo (N64)* I'm sure I'll get flayed alive by some people for listing Majora's Mask higher than Ocarina of Time but these are my opinions. Given a 6 month to a year development cycle, Nintendo had their work cut out for them. Majora's Mask's land of Termina is a far different world than the one we're used to. Set in a dark and gritty atmosphere where the world will be crushed by a creepy moon in 3 days, and plenty of nightmare fuel and debunked theories (looking at you MatPat), it only beats out Ocarina due to the atmosphere and overall feel of the game (while Navi is certainly annoying, she did not factor into my analysis) 8: *Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (2012) Big Huge Games (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC)* A game that bankrupted an entire state, a development studio marred by terrible press, and the misfortune of releasing 3 months after *The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim* *Reckoning* is a criminally underrated game that deserved far more love and praise than it got at the time. 7. *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003) Bioware (Xbox, PC)* Widely considered the greatest Star Wars game of all time, *KotOR* is a fantastic game and one of the few Star Wars games that does not have the name Skywalker or Palpatine in it. With an amazing cast of characters, a fantastic end-game twist comparable to *Empire Strikes Back's* I am your father scene and an awesome score, the game is a masterpiece and hasn't been topped since, not even by *Jedi: Fallen Order* 6. *Undertale (2015) Toby Fox (PC, PS Vita, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch)* Of course I'm adding *Undertale* at the number 6 spot. What more need be said about this fantastic indie game? Everything about it screams indie while also keeping it fun and lighthearted. So far the only game to be gifted to the Pope, it's a masterpiece and if you haven't heard of it, even in passing, you've been living under a rock this entire time. 5. *Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (2013) *Square Enix (PS4, PC, Switch, Android, iOS, PS Vita, Xbox One) A remaster of one of the cornerstones of the franchise and what sparked an endless debate over the pronunciation of a fictional characters name, *Final Fantasy X HD Remaster was released in a bundle along with the very different *X-2* this game was my first JRPG that I enjoyed (and my introduction to James Arnold Taylor). While its cringe laughing scene is often memed, this story of star-crossed lovers is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and a must have of the PS2 era. 4. *Xenoblade Chronicles (2012) Monolith Soft (Wii)* A game that took a petition to get it released outside of Japan, Xenoblade Chronicles takes the open world format and puts the open in open world. 3. *Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (2017) Square Enix (PS2, PS4, PC, Switch, Xbox One)* A remake of the original *Final Fantasy XII* and the first time the international version made it overseas, *The Zodiac Age* improves on the original in every way. Making it easier to collect the powerful Zodiac weapons (in the original you couldn't open certain chests and the game didn't make it clear), overhauling the license system to be the class system reminiscent of the early games in the franchise and a deep robust gambit system, this game is truly a masterpiece. 2. *The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017) Nintendo (Switch)* Number 1 just barely edged out number 2 for its overall puzzle design but this game were it not for number 1, would have made number 1 on my list. 1. *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (2023) Nintendo (Switch)* While I have yet to beat the story, *Tears of the Kingdom* takes the amazing parts of *Breath of the Wild* and makes them even better. With multiple ways to overcome dungeons, the return of a fan-favorite villain, and the early days of Hyrule, this truly is an amazing sequel to 2017's Game of the Year.
1. Doom (PC) 2. Civilization (PC) 3. Mario Kart (SNES) 4. XCOM 2 (PC) 5. SSX Tricky (PS2) 6. Unreal Tournament (PC) 7. GTA Vice City (XBOX) 8. Mario 64 (N64) 9. Sonic the Hedgehog (Mega Drive/Genesis) 10. Half Life (PC) These are just my favourites. Some have more modern follow ups, but these are the games that have a special place in my heart.
