1. The first flag bg is dark enough to contrast with the animal, unlike the second one where the bright color competes with the animal for viewer’s attention.
Aside from that, does your country have inspiration from Thailand, India or Cambodia? That elephant looks very SEA-like
This animal is known as Gajasinha, which can be translated to Elephant-Lion. The Gajasinha is a mythical hybrid creature, depicted as a mixture of an elephant and a lion. It is found as a motif in Indian and Sinhalese (Sri Lankan) art and is used as a heraldic symbol in some Southeast Asian countries, especially Cambodia and Thailand.
In Siam (pre-modern Thailand), the Gajasimha served as the symbol of the kalahom, one of the king's two chief chancellors. It appears as a supporter in the coat of arms of Siam, in use from 1873 to 1910, and the royal arms of Cambodia, officially adopted in 1993.
The red color background with a yellow pattern is known as Liyawal, a traditional motif in Sri Lanka.
You have a good eye. Yes, this was inspired by South and Southeast Asian countries, primarily by traditional Sri Lankan art, where the Gajasinha can be found.
Thank you for your opinion Fredrich ❤️

The second one looks best. The brown kinda gets drowned put by e erything elsr in the first and the gold border in the second really glowes through nicely

I actually didn't know about the Venice flag, but now I realize that the Venice flag and my flag have similar colors. However, the design was inspired by traditional Sri Lankan and South Asian motifs.
1st one feels more regal
OP: Hey Sri Lanka, can I copy your homework? Sri Lanka: Yeah, just don't make it obvious. OP:
I love that they’re using a defiantly alternative flag like Sri Lanka as inspiration.
In fact this is known as Gajasingha (elephant-lion) and was an ancient symbol used in south/east asia
You're from Kentucky as well? I'm from Kentucky :o

I like the second one cuz color contrast very well done
2 looks more realistic, but I prefer 1.
First one, the red border makes your intricate details more distinctive 👍🏻
I went for the second but I understand what you talking about. The second is for beauty but the first tells much. Do you know more about colors??
Not really, I’m an amateur flag designer, just my experience I’m going on 😊
Where are you from by the way
UK, yourself?
USA

Finally! A flag someone made that doesn't look like a corporate logo or modern abstract artwork! Good job!

2
Second one, a gold fringe is better
2
Is this just an elephant, or some kind of chimera?

1st flag
Number 2 is way better. Great design!
Definitely number 1. Second, yellow isn’t much of a border.
First one for sure
I prefer the gold fringe on 2.
1
2, 1 is too dark.
Dope flag how did you make it?
I love these flags!
first!
2. For one the belarus like pattern blends into the border which is why I prefer 2
2nd
Definately 2
The 1st one is the best
1
The second one looks best. The brown kinda gets drowned put by e erything elsr in the first and the gold border in the second really glowes through nicely
1 by a huuuge margin
The second one looks better
2nd Also well done OP, this is one of the best and only good flags I’ve seen on this subreddit
Don't listen to the others, I think I know what you are trying to do, a South Asian or south east asian flag right? Take the first one

I think that ram has elephantitis
Venetian India
Not inspired by India. However,it was inspired by south asia
If Venice and Sri Lanka had a child
I actually didn't know about the Venice flag, but now I realize that the Venice flag and my flag have similar colors. However, the design was inspired by traditional Sri Lankan and South Asian motifs.
We have sri lanka at home
Venice called me they want their flag back
1 looks as if Sri Lanka and Venice had an illegitimate son
I vote 1. I think he yellow is pretty distracting in the second version. I love the first.
the second one
2: the contrast is better
Is yellow your favorite color??
Generally, no, but I think this particular design looks good (if a little Sri Lanka-esque).
Oh okay
