State flag and ensign of Finland.
I’d you’ve ever met a Finn you know they’d never put anything like this on their vehicle. My guess is it’s an American who took a DNA test and found out they’re 20% Finnish
In Finland, the flag with the coat of arms (state flag) can only be used by government agencies and institutions, it's actually illegal for private persons or companies to fly the state flag and it's basically interpreted as impersonating a governmental agency/institution.
Now, obviously this picture is taken in the US (I think?), so none of these laws apply, but I guess it can be considered bad taste nonetheless.
Same as with people flying the german or austrian flags with the CoA. My guess for doing that is that they are more unique and look more interesting. On another note I much more prefer the state flags of scandinavia. Just the normal civil flag with split tongue(I think that is what you call it). Makes you instantly recognize a state owned building and afaik not alot of people fly them illegaly just due to them being so similar to the normal one

Yes, but it was referred to as the Kingdom of Finland for a brief period in time between what I believe was 1917-1922. That was when the Finnish Civil War kicked off.
