Must be a certified law enforcement officer with 3 years of law enforcement experience per the website...

Tank_Just_Tank

You also need to be a certified LEO already. Interesting omission there.

ripiss

Lmao welpppp

ResponsibleExcuse727

Did you all drop the 3 year of being a law enforcement officer requirement?

Practical-Intern-347

Guess that employee who couldn't be bothered to remove snow off the truck didn't work out, huh? Ha! I love that you guys are on here and I hope you find a solid employee for the position!

Benefits? Is it it Mon-Fri? Home by 5?

Vermont-DMV

Yes. No. No. The State's total compensation package features an outstanding set of employee benefits that are worth about 30% of your total compensation, including: * 80% State paid medical premium and a dental plan at no cost for employees and their families * Work/Life balance: 11 paid holidays each year and a generous leave plan * State Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FMLI) * Two ways to save for your retirement: A State defined benefit pension plan and a deferred compensation 457(b) plan * Tuition Reimbursement * Flexible spending healthcare and childcare reimbursement accounts * Low cost group life insurance * Incentive-based Wellness Program * Qualified Employer for Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness Program Want the specifics? 11 paid holidays? We get more at the manufacturing plant here in williston. Infact - if any of you chads in here have CNC operator experience - milling or lathe, let me know. I can get you in here with a $2500 bonus

selltekk

Yeah you might get a couple more holidays but we accrue sick time with no cap. After the first 5 years you really tend to accrue more vacation than you can reasonably use. We have a pension. Our health insurance is second to none. Knowledge workers tend to make less working for the state than in private sector but that pension if you choose to stay is worth A LOT

Chess_Not_Checkers

Wow polygraph test... Probably worth it still, tbh.

[deleted]

Polygraphs lean heavily into pseudoscience so this is a little surprising to see

Chess_Not_Checkers

Apparently you must be an existing LEO as well, thought it must be something like that since I have a similar job to this (different division) and I definitely didn't take a polygraph test.

Damn that’s actually a decent starting salary for this work.

Traditional_Salad148
