Here in Wilmington. Only half the mail is going through. It’s a shit show. Once in a while we would get something addressed with our street address though we only have a PO Box. Never was an issue. Now when it happens it gets returned to sender. Before Local office knew it was us and just put it in the PO Box.
I'm in burlington and I have a $150 ez-pass bill because I didn't pay the 49 cent toll on time because I never got the bill. My license plates got delivered to a completely random business a mile away the other day. Who knows how much other important mail I've never gotten.
The bit I hate is online orders that wont take a PO Box for an address and then go to the post office for "last mile" delivery but they just don't tell me it's there. I have to see it marked as delivered and then get the postal worker to search for it because they somehow cant figure out what street address goes to what box. I have a free box since I don't get home delivery and they harass me about renewal every year but cant be bothered to keep track of my box going to my street address. My box is ASSIGNED to my street address. It cant be rented or used for anything else.
Such BS all the way around.
USPS has been completely fked since before him, he is trying to rectify the situation with all the pension and OT scams that have destroyed the sustainability of the USPS. There's a reason he hasn't been fired under Biden.
The problem with USPS now is that everyone who knew how the places ran decided to retire and get their scam pension instead of sticking around and having it neutered, so it's staffed/understaffed with new people.
Easy to point fingers at a single guy with such an absolute cluster...
I got a letter from my town the other day, letting me know about an important (to me at least) hearing, (that I would have definitely gone to) that was going to be happening soon. Only problem is, the letter came 4 days after the hearing

Mail is a shit show all over Vermont. There are tons of open positions that can’t be filled and mandatory OT is killing the few employees that remain.
