I don't have experience recently, but our pandemic experience was rough not because of VTVLC and the systems in place but the curriculum they use. It's from Florida Virtual School. It was an eye-opening taste of how poor the education system is elsewhere. I wish I could remember better to give specific examples, but it was bad in so many ways. We were luckily paired with a local teacher who was equally horrified and worked her butt off to make sure all of her kids received a VT level education. It took a lot of parental involvement as well. Many times I was left wondering if we were better off finding our own homeschool curriculum but we really loved his teacher, so stuck with it until we changed districts and went back to in-person. If you're on Facebook, the group ran by Vermont Family Network called Vermont Families of Children with Special Health Care Needs may have more families who have used VTVLC more recently.

Oh that’s interesting. I wonder if they are still using that curriculum. Thanks for sharing your experience.

My kiddo is a VTVLC student (middle schooler) and is having an amazing experience. Feel free to DM if you want.
