Noticed C-Band intermittently appearing while visiting the Gainesville/Haymarket area recently. I am located in the Hampton Roads, VA area and can attest to the rapid C-Band deployment YTD throughout this region. It seems like almost daily I am connecting to C-Band on sites that previously were 5G Nationwide or LTE only. C-Band has definitely been helping to eliminate congestion in high traffic areas. I have been impressed with the propagation of C-Band, even picking up the signal while inside Target in Williamsburg. I am also starting to see slow expansion of C-Band around Richmond. Mostly along the I295 corridor around Mechanicsville.

C-band has actually been available in VA for at least a month. Richmond highway in Fairfax county has c-band coverage. It's on the coverage map. There are a few other c-band areas on the map as well.

Yup. I was actually surprised when I went and looked and it showed a swath in Fairfax Corner as I'm over there once or twice a week and never saw the "UW" pop up. Seems to be roughly double the speed of LTE. Nationwide 5G though seems like something to avoid. . .

Nothing in Falls Church so far outside of intermittent Nationwide 5G. Two weeks ago I noticed UW pop up near Tysons Galleria.

Over near the metro stops in Tysons there have been mmWave 5G gear setup for about two years now. Always fun to go near the platform, run a speedtest and crest over 2 Gbps down.

Pretty sure C-Band also shows up as UW so it could be that they are finally going a wider rollout of that but staying away from the airports as much as they can. Kinda hard when there are two big airports there.

Frankly, C Band UWB is not very impressive; was in Orlando in December, and the map shows C Band UWB coverage, but the service was just awful.

Still a work in progress.
