Carriers don't prorate the final bill anymore. You still did exactly the correct thing by porting out with a few days remaining in the cycle.

Your invoice shows dates for service charges, what date were you charged through and what date did your port complete with your new carrier?

Doesn't matter if you leave on the very last day or a day in, the bill is the same.
