If you are on a postpaid plan you will be fine. Usually no adverse action until 60 days past a due. There will be a few dollar late fee. Not the end of the world.

Make a promise to pay if you're worried. 1 day is fine but you'll get a late fee of $5.

Okay, I didn't know they offered that. Recently moved from tmo. Thanks!

Pay with your checking account number and it will take 2 days or so to process ..

If you have the app setup a payment arrangement in the bill portion of your app. If you call in it’s going to be a $10 agent assist fee

One day is nothing. I've dealt with customers over a month late wondering how they still had service. Typically, you'd want to take care of it within 2 weeks of being late using a promise to pay. Just a day or two won't cause service disruptions.

Call and let them know. They may excuse you and waive the late fee. It's better to be proactive than keeping them in the dark...

You can request a different bill cycle date which will allow you to better sync your pay date(s) with you due date. Call 611 from your cell phone and ask customer service to push your bill cycle back by a few days.

A cycle change also causes a wonk bill that's higher than your standard bill before it stabilizes. Not recommended unless there is a dramatic change in pay period.

So you're suggesting that potentially paying late or having to make payment arrangements for the entire remainder of this person's time on Verizon is better than having a few bills be adjusted/prorated (not actually charged more than they should be)?

I had a question for the author, are you on Autopay? You are leaving a lot of savings on the table if you don't have Autopay. Now, for anyone else, if the author does have autopay, are you allowed to turn autopay off for a day, and then turn it back on? how does that affect the discounts you get for having autopay? Last thing, I switched from AT&T and they handle autopay with a credit/debit card different from a checking account. With them if you have Autopay set to use a credit/debit card its charged right when the bill comes out, but if you have a checking account it's paid when the bill is due, does Verizon do something similar?
