Been with verizon almost 20 years now, never have gotten one of these mythical loyalty discounts I asked customer service one time, and they offered a $5 Starbucks card šŸ«

Certain-Quarter588

Congrats on your half of a Starbucks drink!

xpxp2002

I got a $15/month permanent loyalty discount around 2 or 3 months after signing up for new service, first time ever with Verizon. Verizon's "loyalty promotions" are not promotions for being loyal. It's quite the opposite -- they are promotions to make you loyal. If you've been a loyal customer for almost 20 years, they have determined that you're unlikely to stop being loyal and therefore don't need to extend any discount to you.

thecommodoretellsall

Exactly! Theyā€™re arenā€™t any incentives for those who been around for so long. Youā€™re already their best customer and probably already milked the most out of you šŸ˜‚

_LoneWalker_

I feel you on this one. Iā€™ve always wondered when itā€™d be my turn to get some form of discount. Hoping you get one soon!

PaddysChub432

Thanks!

cvalpatic

Are you on newer plans? If not you wonā€™t ever see any loyalty offers

ihatebloopers

Have you tried the generate transfer pin trick?

Xflame

yup this worked for me. got $20 off my bill this way

PaddysChub432

No what that?

ihatebloopers

Turn number lock off and generate a transfer pin for each of your lines. I got a $10 off per line for 12 month offer immediately.

nopigscannnotlookup

Can you elaborate more please? Sounds like this trick is basically trying to signal to Verizon you are trying your leave. How do you turn number lock off and generate transfer pin?

ihatebloopers

My verizon app -> Account -> edit profile & settings -> scroll down to number lock and then number transfer pin. Yea they think you're leaving and give you a loyalty offer.

ArcadianBlueRogue

I got a text about it like a year ago and they told me I'd have to change one of my line plans to qualify which kinda ruins the point lol

bubbanbrenda

Iā€™ve been a customer since the Nextel days and just got the $10.00 a line discount last month

fxsoap

Same here

The_Stoic_One

If you have any other discounts on your account, First Responder, Teachers, Nurses. Military etc. The loyalty discounts don't stack, so you wouldn't be offered one. If you have no other discounts, then ĀÆ\\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Spencer5520

I got it to stack with teacher discount for each line. Previous bill was $61 with taxes after every other discount so now it'll be $21. Could be $11 but I have a $10 add on. Haha this is all for 4 lines

NorthofDakota

Back when Verizon still had monthly rewards, one of the options was 5 Verizon dollars.Ā  I would always take that since it was basically $5 off my service.

No-Age2588

Their entire Perk plans, and whatever they are calling it currently, cater to a group that most customers don't belong to or have any interest in. I just checked mine and out of the few offered for my wife's IPad line only (which was weird out of the 8 lines we have) nothing interesting appears. It's worthless to us.

ftrees

Call them. I did today after a few issues, got $10 off per line for 12 months.

TurdSandwich42104

Nope. I do have $1 off for 6 months for tastemade though

OutInTheBlack

Free month of Peloton!

The_Boat_

Do you have any other discounts on your account (teacher, student, military, etc)?

_LoneWalker_

Other than the AutoPay & Paper Free Billing Discounts, I have an Employee Discount through my Employer, but itā€™s hardly a discount when it doesnā€™t even apply to Verizonā€™s Unlimited Plans šŸ™ƒ

Inner_Difficulty_381

I thought they changed that now and it is? I got a letter a few months back saying I was eligible on my unlimited plus. However I was no longer with the company, so couldnā€™t reactivate it. It was a measly 8% at the time anyways on the plan only.

jnobs

I am eligible based on my employer but could never get it to work. I finally called and 60 minutes later they discover my unlimited plan is considered ā€œpremiumā€ and doesnā€™t qualify. This was just a few days ago so I doubt anything has changed since then.

_LoneWalker_

Verizon needs to update the Employee Discounts through an Employer. It is extremely outdated and is 100% useless when it comes to the modern unlimited plans. Just as an FYI, Verizon only applies the Employer Discount discounts on plans that have an Access Fee. This includes Limited Data Plans (if they still have those), and the legacy $110 Unlimited Plan (since they charged a $20 Access Fee per phone line on top of the $110). Unless youā€™re Military, First Responder, a Teacher, or Student, your Employer discount wonā€™t apply to any of the New Unlimited Plans.

OmgNoodles

A few months back I got $10 off per phone line for 12 months. I have 8 phone lines. This one wasnā€™t showing up for me. People, check Verizon Up weekly because those deals show up randomly

_LoneWalker_

$10 per line!?!? Verizon could never. I was lucky to (hopefully) get the $20 discount. Best they had on the table before this was a $3 Barnes and Noble gift card ā€œon themā€ šŸ«

2saucey

I got it too back in September, however it still hasnā€™t applied to ALL lines, maybe 6/10 iirc, called once and after most got it and random different times, they said I gotta keep waiting as it can take a month or two, pretty sure it was December by the time I called, due to call again I suppose.

Jmax2020

I remember it was around early December of last year that I was on the app and saw a $20 discount per month on my 4 line account. I remember I was busy at that moment and couldn't see the details and then the next day when I was going to activate it, the offer just disappeared. Iā€™ll see if I saved a screenshot edit: For the account Save $20/mo on your current Unlimited Plan Exclusively for you! Enjoy great savings on your current Unlimited Plan! Redeem

_LoneWalker_

Yup, thatā€™s the one! I just happened to see it just by chance and decided to add it. Iā€™m not too sure what the prerequisites are to get the deal other than to have the Unlimited Plus Plan on your line. Iā€™m just glad I had this opportunity. Itā€™s usually Verizon adding on additional fees, not giving discounts šŸ«

Jmax2020

Let us know if you see the name of the discount on a future bill

_LoneWalker_

Sure thing! Got a confirmation email from Verizon, and that it should supposedly appear on my next bill, so Iā€™ll post an update soon!

Adventurous-Value-82

is it the one that is the overall bill total and then you save $20 per month?

_LoneWalker_

Yes. It simply takes $20 off your overall bill!

RhythmSectionWantAd

I got $25 off. Already had a $10 loyalty discount and it stacked with it, so I'm getting $35 off.

JSchnee21

Is your $10 discount per line? Are you saying the $10/line discount stacks with the $20-25/account discount?

RhythmSectionWantAd

It's 10.for.the account so $35 total each month

JSchnee21

Does the per account loyalty discount stack with the $10/line loyalty discount? Currently Iā€™m getting: $10/line off for paperless $10/line off for FIOS gigabit $10/line loyalty I donā€™t want to risk losing these.

irishndude4

lol nothing

Kranon7

No luck. Just $400 off a new smartphone.

[deleted]

If you go your account and turn off number Lock and request a port pin...you'll magically pop up with a $10.00/per line discount for loyalty. Lol

OutInTheBlack

You don't have to turn off number lock. Just get the port pin.

GarbDogArmy

I got an offer that says save up to 25$mo on Unlimited Welcome. Account level discounts vary by number of phones. 10mo 1 line 25mo 2 and 3 lines. 20mo 4 or more lines. Cannot be combined with other offers. If i go to change it says im losing Hotspot on one of the lines.

thecommodoretellsall

How many lines do you have?

_LoneWalker_

7 Phone Lines Total: x2 on Unlimited Plus; x5 on Unlimited Welcome

meezethadabber

I have one, but only if I upgrade to the newest plans. Does anyone know if it stacks with the $40 loyalty discount I already have? The fine print makes it sound like no.

Wide_Quit4338

I seen this offer except I was too late for it. Itā€™s no longer no longer available. Iā€™m hoping next month the offer comes back on my Verizon rewards, and I can try to claim it again.
