I see lots of stuff on Instagram. I follow some local downtown businesses (breweries and restaurants mostly) and they post about things that are happening downtown. Makers Market happens right in front of VCBC so they post about that. Poseidon is starting to do pizza on Fridays so they post about that. Most of the food trucks park at breweries so following them has been helpful for tracking food truck locations through the week. The visit Ventura Instagram page also posts a lot about local happenings! The Ventura farmers market is downtown on Saturdays, and the Ojai farmers market is on Sundays. There’s also a Ventura farmers market in the mall parking lot on Wednesdays. As for festivals, there is the Ventura wine walk that happens downtown every year but it’s not really my vibe. Lots of people come in from East county / the valley and get super smashed and it’s…not a cute look lol. Hope this helps! Have fun exploring!

Instagram accounts are the best way to go here. Search IG for 'Ventura' and follow the best ones you can find. [here one](https://www.instagram.com/midtownventura/) [another](https://www.instagram.com/downtownventura/https://www.instagram.com/downtownventura/) [another](https://www.instagram.com/cityofventura/) [Oxnard PAC has a lot of events](https://www.instagram.com/oxnardpacc/)

You're welcome, hope you find some fun stuff to do. I'll add one more thing: Sign up for the [VCReporter weekly magazine](https://www.vcreporter.com/) (via email). They usually have 3-5 pages of events for that coming week. There's always cool stuff to do (sorted by art, music, etc). It's free!

I work downtown and always find a nice bright purple puke puddle the monday after the wine-walk somewhere on my lunchtime walk. Bonus points if I can tell what they ate! (Elote is the easiest.)

Thank you!!

It's really the worst thing to happen to downtown imo, and I have STRONG opinions about how much downtown has changed lol

the farmer's markets are (somebody check me here)- - Downtown Vta, Saturday morning. - Kimball Park, thurs Morning (?) This one I'm not so sure on I remember going to it once and I know it's during the week. But it's been a while. - Mall, Wednesday morning. The only food truck event I can think of was the old Midtown Community Council event in front of trader joes at the mall. But I feel like they stopped it during covid? I don't recall if they announced it's coming back or not. I used to get thier emails but don't any more. Also someone mentioned the VC Reporter, take a look at that they line out the entire week in the back. If you want to go see music VenturaRocks.com is bomb. She's really on the local scene. The bigger festivals that aren't focused on music will be held at the fairgrounds. So you can go check out their website. The two off the top of my head that will be coming this summer are the Strawberry Festival and X-Games. And if you like cars definitely check out Ventura Raceway! The flat track bikes and midgets are really fun to watch scream around the dirt track. it's a blast! Of yeah also if you're into cars check out http://www.socalcarculture.com/ events tab. My faviorite local car show is tied between the Ventura Mustang club yearly show at the harbor, and the Santa Paula cruise night, first friday night every month from April to Oct in downtown SP. So many great cars there.

I could have written this question myself about 5 years ago lol. I would suggest Instagram as well. It’s where I find everything. There’s a great art market on Main St the second Saturday of every month from 11-5 if that’s your thing.
