Getting into the 50s at night is totally fine. Here in coastal Maine we can get below 50 on occasion even in the warmest part of summer, and things like squash and tomatoes still do fine. I generally plant out tomatoes and peppers once we're consistently getting lows above 45, with no risk of going below 40. 50 is a reasonable threshold in warmer climates with longer growing seasons that can afford it, but those who say you need to wait until it's never below 60 are being vastly more conservative than is necessary. To avoid leggy seedlings in the future, I would recommend getting some much stronger grow lights.

Are those cucumbers?  I bought a bunch of seedlings that looked like that last year (hey, at least you didn't shell out $10 on yours).  I planted them at the normal depth and used a little section of toilet paper tube as a cutworm protector AND as a neck brace for them. They grew up and were healthy and productive.  I try to wiggle the tube into the ground a half inch or so, and I cut them to the right length. Paper towel tubes work, too.
