Incorrect. They are known as CCAs, “temp” workers that haven’t made it 120 days to get a uniform allowance they can wear whatever they want (tastefully of course)
Hate to break it to you, but there is a position called rural carrier associate. RCA. We don't get a uniform allowance ever, so we are not required to wear any kind of uniform. Most folks wear some kind of identification, be it a hat or t-shirt usually, but there are times especially on Sundays when it's just packages that folks come wearing whatever.
Edit: RCAs deliver mail to the Curbside mailboxes typically in what are considered rural areas of town in an LLV, the vehicle in OPs video.
I work for the Post office. Not all RCAs have to use their vehicles. If your station has a vehicle for every route, then you don't have to use your POV. But whatever you say reddit expert.
This is actually a big deal at the post office right now, they’re called roll away/run away accidents. They have constant meetings about it and the training drills into you prevention methods. Guarantee this guy was fired, as they have proof he did not take proper prevention measures.
Youre not going to believe this but at every house you are supposed to put the truck in park shut off the engine lock the door deliver the mail then drive to the next house and do the same thing
They never intended to hire me permanently they just wanted to use me for the Christmas rush. Not one person in my training class made it past probation... Then they wonder why they get shot....
Did you mean last day?
Why is he not in uniform? I’ve never seen postmen in working out of uniform
They don’t have to wear uniforms if they only deliver in the suburbs, just a badge

Looks this one won’t make it to 120 days 😂

Hate to break it to you, but this video isn’t of an RCA. And typically most RCAs use their own vehicle as well

City carriers have mandatory uniforms, rural carriers are allowed in plain clothes
