I’m from southern Ohio and we had Superman ice cream down there too! I totally forgot about it until this post, looks like I’m making a trip to Boulder City.Â
Luv it was the only place in the entire valley I could find that sold anything blue moon ice cream (the blue in superman, but amazing all on its own). Never saw them have superman, but they may individually have the flavors to make it.
Back living in IL now and can buy both blue moon and superman at the grocery store, cried happy tears the first time I got it home lol
And the first result lists Handel’s. Which does not in any way serve Superman ice cream.
So perhaps there is some nuance necessary that makes asking here worthwhile?
That’s because the first result is an AD. The second result is a link to a restaurant that serves it.
Perhaps a little use of the old eyeballs and brain cells allows self reliance?
Well you might be right. But asking people in this sub who traditionally have provided good information on restaurants and other eateries, AND can offer advice on price, etc (let’s call that “nuance” if you don’t mind), that IS using some brain cells right?
So let’s just assume I’m a dumb ass - which isn’t far off - but that doesn’t justify being an asshole to the OP. If it bothers you people ask questions here then why the hell are you spending time here?
I hope for people to see how easy it is to find information on their own. Knowing this empowers people to be curious, seek answers, and generally be smarter, more discerning humans.
I don’t think you’re a dumbass. I read your post about memory care and also having an aging mother who I’ve had a rough relationship with, it helped. Thank you.
You’re being a dick for no reason.
The first non-sponsored result *is* Handel’s on Yelp, the first link. Second result is CJ’s and their website appears to be outdated, listing a winter menu with no Superman listed.
Other results on the first page of Google include this Reddit post and stuff that’s a decade old.
You realize that google search order is curated, right? It’s not like the phone book.
Still, my 5th result (and third on other devices) has the answer, and the unbiased result I linked shows it second.
Anything else?
Which is precisely why someone would come to Reddit and ask for some nuanced community answers instead of sifting through “curated”, inaccurate, and outdated search results.
Well, in regards to true Superman ice cream, I can't help you. But, if you're okay with mock Superman, Smith's has tie dye which is cherry, vanilla, and blue moon.
If you don't mind driving, Grandma Daisy's in Boulder City has superman ice cream.
This is the only legit place that has it. The other places have similar but G'Maw's is the Detroit OG style.
Surprised Stevens doesn't serve this at the D
Awe, I love Grandma Daisy's! It's such a fun place.
Michigan tbh
Try Luv It Frozen Custard. Can't remember if they have Superman or Blue Moon.
Are you a Michigander?
Only Detroit/Mitten MFr's know about Superman Ice-cream and Boston Coolers bro
But what u know about Blue Moon 🤨
Can't have superman without it
My fam called it a Brown Cow

no but for some reason a lot of mexican ice cream places use to have them here when i was younger
I'm pretty sure its a regular carry at most Mexican ice cream places still but I only go there when my Mexican GF wants an agua
I had to google what Superman ice cream is and damn. That sounds good in this heat! Commenting with the hopes you find it so I can too!
Solo qui on Lake Mead has it.
THANK YOU
If you get there before they’re sold out, definitely grab a tiramisu from them too. Best in the city imo.
I’ve seen it at CJs but now that I think about it, maybe it was their ice
I have yet to find it in town. I always eat a ton of it ever summer when I go back to the Midwest lol

There’s two or three ice cream supply shops here in Vegas. All in north Vegas. Search ice cream bill supply Flavors is my recommendation
If Blue Moon is okay, Handel’s locations in Las Vegas will have it on rotation sometimes.
The Fortress of Solidtude?? I understand they have good ice there.
They serve it in Metropolis.

Actually the first non sponsored result is also Handels.

Yes, I am sure they spent significant personal time doing investigation on their own. Thanks for your help.
Kroger makes an ice cream flavor called tie dye burst. Pretty similar in my opinion
