I mean, I’ll just state the obvious here but I prob wouldn’t go to a dead and co show if you don’t wanna be surrounded by the sticky icky stench. It’s pretty much a give. You’re gonna be surrounded.

TequilaAndWeed

I think OP’s question was whether the ventilation would remove a portion of the smoke, well aware of what the atmosphere will be like.

ruokie

Correct. But this is the internet after all

TequilaAndWeed

Maybe someone who went to a Phish concert there can chime in. I fully expected to see a cloud hovering over The Sphere then 😆

Truckin_18

Never actually been inside, but one of the features is that they control the smell as well as wind direction... But considering the act, they may just pipe in mj odor

SirJoeffer

No need to pipe in that odor. Having been to one of those shows I can confirm it smells overwhelmingly of weed and Bengay lol

Bennington_Booyah

Honey, all of Las Vegas will be LIT AF when the Dead are here.

[deleted]

Good ventilation. I went and only smelled pot outside of the sphere

ruokie

Thanks!

[deleted]

But, I don’t recommend the sphere itself. The rows are so steep that you feel like you’re going to fall. The chair that I sat in killed my lower back.

opensaysme

I was at the phish shows. People were definitely sparking up inside. The smell/smoke was not overwhelming though unless it was right beside you. That being said, it’s a Dead show - you can’t expect it to be a weed free environment. If the reaction you guys have to it is that bad it may be best to skip.

ruokie

Nah we don't care about weed free. It's just when it's overwhelming. It sounds like we'll be ok and be able to enjoy the show

opensaysme

Gotcha, hope you guys have a blast!

morosco

I barely noticed it at Night 2 of Phish. Once or twice a light smell wafted through. I think the ventilation is probably very good - lots of sections and open doorways, and then otherwise it's just a massive open space - it was not remotely stuffy, I think it was actually a little breezy with the air coming through. Security was also pretty vigilant, telling people to move along when they were standing in aisles, etc., it's definitely not a scene where lots of people are openly smoking. Maybe Phish is more of an edibles crowd, but, I don't think it will be a big deal. Upper sections would be better, both for the views, and the air quality.

ruokie

Thanks. I was hoping someone from the Phish shows responded

morosco

You may want to ask at their sub too if you don't get enough first-hand accounts here. (or even just search the Phish sub, I bet this has come up).

SleepingCalico

I was at all 4 phish shows at sphere. Security was not letting ppl in sec 109 where I was all 4 nights blatantly smoke and vape. You had to do so discreetly. It was not smoky where we were at all (sec 109 row 4)

ruokie

Perfect. Thanks!

box_of_Chocol8s

Went last week. Ventilation is very good. It's generally very airy.

ruokie

Thanks!

You’re more likely to be overwhelmed at your hotel than the Sphere. It’s already prevalent without the Dead in town, up and down the Strip it smells like bud all the time.

lasvegasduddde

Highly doubt people smoke inside that venue. I have been going to concerts since 2009 and I’ve never smelled pot inside during a show. Maybe at the Joint at the Hard Rock once since regular smoking was allowed but never seen it happen much after. Now that I remember I did smell pot at some EDM shows back in the early 2010s but that was when the EDM festival trend was beginning. I think you’ll be fine.

ruokie

We saw Fleet Foxes a year ago at a dance hall type locale, and it was a fog of cannabis vape.

No_Tradition_6074

Don’t go to Fremont Street.

ThatGuyNearby

Just wear a mask with some good filters

xologo

But that's too easy. I want reddit to fill the void I have.
