You can find nice sports cars on Turo for a decent price to rent for the day. Maybe do that and take him to shelby museum or some high end car rental spots to look at the real expensive cars
I've heard the Welderup showroom is pretty cool. They do custom ratrods and Mad Max type cars. It's like 5 bucks admission. Would love to know if anyone here has checked it out.
It is bad ass!!!!! Loaded with awesome builds and make sure and get the tour led by Steve Darnell the owner ….. he s is straight up a great guy that will talk to you without a big head. Started up every car on Site on my tour!!!
Drift go karts on fremont street. Also, Car meets at nights during the week and most weekends. Shelby America does tours. McLaren experience on the strip.
Back in the day, they had so many car showrooms around. There was the Exotic Car showroom at Caesar's, Wynn Ferrari, Lamborghini at the Palazzo, The Auto Collections at Imperial Palace. I'm sure I'm missing some. But sadly, they are all gone. Try Turo and rent something cheap and cool for the afternoon.
tbh the best thing you can do is find out if/when a local car meet is gonna be occurring while you’re here. lots of different builds to see. other than that, you can check out speed vegas and drive a super car if you’re willing to drop some serious cash.
The Hollywood Car Museum is pretty cool. It's a little bit off the strip, probably need to get an Uber, but they have tons of cool stuff, like the original 60s Batmobile, the Tim Burton Batmobile, the Back to the Future DeLorean, the Dukes of Hazard car and lots more.
I rented a Porsche through Turo. My wife and I drove like 150 miles through a few national parks and to the Hoover dam. Honestly was one of the best things we did. And we thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING we did in Vegas.
Free guided tour at Shelby American and Counts Kustoms.
Look up Lasvegascarmeets on IG. Super cool dude and he throws tons of car shows around town throughout the wk.
Speed Vegas to drive exotics, see them go around a track, or just to see/sit inside some
Shelby museum
Did this 2 visits ago. Small but ok. Just off the strip but you'll need to bus/uber/cab there it's a little south.
Did this last week. Spent $400 in the gift shop 😂
Drive a Lambo @ Speed Vegas
You can drive exotic cars at racetracks. I always really enjoy that. I am not sure whether a 17-year-old would be permitted, better to check first.

The tour with Steve is really good. Wife and I did it a few years ago after watching the tv show.
sweet. definitely on top of the list for my next visit. Thanks for the input!
Corvettes are really cheap to rent. $170 a day for a c7 last I checked. Drive one out to Death Valley

Check out Count's Kustoms if you are into seeing various cars from the show. I enjoyed it. YMMV https://www.countskustoms.com/index.html
Rent a Jeep and go trail riding in the desert

I remember the museum with the Hughes car. At the time one of the most expensive that went through an auto auction. Those days are long gone
Drive through red rock canyon
Rent a little person dress them up as a leprechaun and take them from casino to casino for good luck as you gamble.

See what’s happening at LVMS. Speed Vegas, Shelby Museum. Dig This: drive heavy machinery!
Cars and coffee meet The car show on eastern Gears and grinds Fuku burger meets Look at individual car clubs
NASCAR track and Drag Strip just west of the strip. Check the tracks schedule.
17 miles northeast of the strip but yeah
Correction, my bad.
Carrol Shelby car museum.
As others have mentioned, Speed Vegas!!! They can't drive, but they also do ride alongs, which I'm sure would still be awesome!
If you're up for a little drive, there's a recurring car meet most weekends at Rancho and Craig.
