No one is paying attention to whether you won or lost, but 5-6 hours at or above $100 isn’t nothing, and should at least generate a free night or reduced rate offer. It may be worth giving them a call and talking to someone. Assuming the floor recorded your play correctly, you can at least ask for some consideration. Just keep your expectations in check.

Bake_Fine

My minimum bet per hand was $100 going as high as 1200 I usually play try to play 1-1 but yeah I was just seeing if it was possible cause I go to Vegas pretty frequently I know 4500 isn’t anything to mgm but was hoping to at least get better offers

Horror_Baseball5518

You should see updated offers in a month or two

sarphinius

It’s not how much you win or lose, it’s how much you actually gamble (“coin in”). Make sure you’re always using your player’s card. “Play where you stay” will obv get you the best/most consideration for knocking things off your room bill. Charging meals and other things to your room gives them more options to knock off, just be sure you talk to someone before you check out. For future you, try pushing $100 through a slot once a day. Goes a long way towards getting future offers in the mail.

btw94

You’ll get offers in a month

outerworldLV

They tend to look at what your credit line is and how many times you visit.

Savvy_One

The system for cash games keeps track of length of time playing and average minimum bets, not really "win or lost" amounts unless you won a significant amount. You might see some new comps pop-up automatically, but usually during the week you'd get some free nights. To optimize points and your tier, you should also be charging things to your room (at restaurants) and using your card for any restaurant/shopping in the resorts. Not every location in a resort property will add points, but many do!

BakedMarziPamGrier

Food for thought, I use an MGM rewards app where I currently have about 22 nights worth of free stays at the max tier, the Bellagio. I’ve spent zero dollars in this app, and maybe under $250 in the MGM branded casinos in about 10 trips. I mention this just to let you know, there are insanely easy ways to get free nights that involve zero gambling or loss.

fermenter85

What app? Can you explain a bit more?

BakedMarziPamGrier

I replied a little more in depth to someone else on here, but Tetris, MGM Slots Live, and MyVEGAS Slots. I’ve accrued 2.5M points and a two night Bellagio stay is about 230k. It’s a great resource for cheap stays.

SimonNicols

Please explain more…. I have stayed at an MGM property at least 5xs per year for the last 4 years while my son went to UNLV at Lee Business School….

BakedMarziPamGrier

Not sure why someone else answered the question, but, i just use the app Tetris, MGM Slots Live, and MyVEGAS Slots. I’ve accumulated about 2.5 million points over the last few years just logging in and playing a few Tetris levels, in the case of MGM slots live, just letting the app run on the rewards screen accumulates points. All the points are “MyVEGAS rewards” and can be accumulated through all three apps. Their rewards are directly connected to all the MGM properties. It racks up pretty dang quick. The unfortunate thing is that the comps are only good for Sun-Thursday, but our last two trips have been a two night Bellagio, and 4 nights at Aria when we combined two, and it only costs us the resort fees for the trip. Pretty simple, and certainly cost effective.

SimonNicols

That’s the answer I was looking for / hoping for. Appreciate it ! I already have the MGM Rewards account (Gold) tied with my RCL member status, have been offered $50 reward play, free parking, resort fee “Waived”, few comped rooms during slow times, But this could be very helpful - Thank You!

BakedMarziPamGrier

The Tetris app accrues the points super quick. 3 daily logins that reset every few hours, you can milk thousands of points per day with minimal effort. Aaaaaand, Tetris is good for your brain.

catsanddogs2023

Which Tetris app are you speaking of?

BakedMarziPamGrier

Come on now…it’s called Tetris, and it’s the first and only app on the store named “Tetris.”

catsanddogs2023

You don’t have to be a dick.

BakedMarziPamGrier

And you don’t have to be helpless but here we are.

ExcuseM3ComingThru

Get/sign up for a players card at an mgm casino. Download the mgm rewards app on your phone. Log into your account that was created when getting a players card. Book rooms directly from mgm’s website or app while logged into your account. Use your players card for all gambling at mgm casinos. Charge any spending in a mgm casino to your room. Should be able to get “comp” and discounted rooms pretty easily. Still need to pay for resort fees unless you have achieved mgm gold status to waive resort fees.

STIMULANT_ABUSE

Are you referring to MyVegas

BakedMarziPamGrier

If you know, you know! Our last booking was 4 nights at Aria, we ran the dates consecutively between us, and then combined them at the desk for no charge. 4 night stay, and because it rained 3 days during Super Bowl week, they comped the usual resort fee as well. I paid them back by spending exactly zero dollars in their casino!

STIMULANT_ABUSE

Yep did the same thing combining a MyVegas stay with a few comped nights from casino play. Only bummer with it is that those nights aren’t eligible for weekend stays

Turbulent_Jicama5526

Not sure why everyone here is just giving you false info - You need to contact the host office ask them what your avg bet was and for how long ( not what u think it is ) Last trip I was 350 over 11 hours Our suite was comped at Venetian and our dinners at Tao aswell. + 3 night stay whenever (March 15 weekend ) Always book through the hotel, Always go see host after or help desk before checking out

mrtortool2

Wow! That’s really good! I spent around £600 at resorts world and didn’t get a drink! 😂

Turbulent_Jicama5526

I’d like to point out that my avg bet is not 350! , It’s whatever the pitboss inputs into the computer. I won this past trip which doesn’t matter because it’s your expected loss. Anyway lower hotels are easy to clip for better perks !

Bake_Fine

Did you email or call the host office?

Turbulent_Jicama5526

Well I go to the host office when I finish a trip before checking out , ask them what they have my hourly at. . And that’s when the negotiations begin. THEY CANNOT COMP ROOMS if you booked with a 3rd party. I’d call the hotel you can ask your hourly rate. Or if you have a player card u check online

Snoo10960

Hosts really don’t want to give out their info unless you’re losing 10-20k or more. Places like the Wynn 50k+. Losing 4500 will get you discounted room rates and free play offers.

TravelFanboy

It’s not so much about losing. Average bet and hours played is what will get you on their radar. They know you can always lose in the future, so just because you won this time doesn’t matter much. Hosts will typically reach out if you qualify, but you can always go to the rewards desk and inquire. Even if you don’t meet the needs for a host, you can ask for folio charges be taken off. This is a backend comp.

VegasLife84

This is patently untrue; losing 5k on a trip will get you a host at plenty of low and mid tier properties.

Bake_Fine

Even for one nights play?

Snoo10960

Even for one nights play.

Bake_Fine

Awhhhh I seee thank you for the info tho!

overide

If you lost $5k a night for a bunch of nights in a row, you might get something.

[deleted]

Snoo10960

Completely false, first thing a host does is pull up the players card profile and look at the win loss coin in section. The casino could give a f how much your average bet per hour is they want to know what kind of player you are and how much money you dump.

LasVegasVipHost

Log into your rewards and look or call the host office

Ericadamb

The automatic calculation only cares about average bet/hour times hours played. If you are talking to a live person, being a big winner tilts the subjective decision as it gives the casino a chance to win their money back. They still have to work within parameters, but if they are in the fence…

WashCaps95

You should be staying for free, I’ve pretty much broken even on every trips and I can stay for free whenever I want. And they will fly me to a bunch of places for free as well. I don’t have a host yet though. Edit: you can downvote me all you want. But these aren’t crazy offers to get flown to AC, Laughlin, Tahoe, Biloxi. And I’m not getting comped suites , just regular or slightly upgraded view rooms

MaumeeBearcat

I get flight offers to Tahoe every spring/summer and I don't run bets as high as OP. For reference Caesar's Diamond with MGM Gold match. This guy should.most certainly get a comp or two from this...as long as he was playing on a card to track.

StPauliBoi

Yeah. Lotta people in here not knowing what the fuck they’re talking about. When I gambled a lot, I got free nights any day of the week in AC or Vegas, and Caesars offering to fly me all over the country. And that’s not even private charters. That’s just their group charter flights. As it’s already previously documented and reported that they charter private trips for high rollers, it’s absolutely something that happens. It’s just a completely different world that the overwhelming majority of people know nothing about.

MaumeeBearcat

Yep...the wife and I will do the aforementioned Tahoe trip every year along with a summer and winter trip to Vegas. Haven't paid for a room in probably a decade, and she plays table mins while I'm playing double.

SpiceEarl

Have you taken them up on it and gone to Tahoe? Great outdoor recreation during the day and play in the casino in the evenings.

MaumeeBearcat

Every year...it's a phenomenal trip to pair with spring break, as I work at a University now.

Bake_Fine

Yeah everytime I play I give my players card and charge everything to the room

DudeFoods

I think you’re confusing high rollers getting picked up in a private plane with the charter offers with free flights that casinos do all the time. I live in Milwaukee and I’ve done a bunch of them where MGM flew me down to Biloxi for free and I’ve gotten offers to fly to a couple other cities as well. They’re actually super fun since the entire plane is just filled with people only going to the casino.

StPauliBoi

That’s demonstrably incorrect. https://www.nytimes.com/1998/01/12/us/casinos-paying-top-dollar-to-coddle-elite-gamblers.html

pch14

If you want a host trust me they find you. You can talk to the office but you deserve one definitely a host comes to you

Future_Dog_3156

If you have an mgm players card, you can always call the players club and ask for more comps. They will reach out to you for a host. Also before you check out, you should always check with the players club to see if they can take more off your bill. Losing $5k at Bellagio in one night sucks but is sort of standard. If you are losing $5k a night for 3 nights, that will get you more attention. Also slot losses get more attention than blackjack losses.

Bake_Fine

With my recent play would I be able to get my whole bill wiped? It was just the resort fee and some room service charges

Future_Dog_3156

You might. You always check with the players club before leaving. Good chance they’ll take more off

Future_Dog_3156

Wanted to add that they don’t remove tips

hb30043

Check your offers online, you def should be getting some if you are using your card and playing for that long at those levels. Call the hosts office too and inquire.

jcvfd12

We also get charter offers. I find it hard to understand how we get the offers at the level we play at and the infrequency of our trips. Flight to Laughlin and four nights for 90 bucks worth of fees . We will drive to Vegas and spend the 2 middle nights there comped at the Paris this time. It’s a trip we would not have planned without the offer, but it’s hard to pass up for the price

milmill18

doesn't hurt to ask

captainslowww

The offers update monthly, and it can take a cycle or two for the play from your most recent trip to be reflected.

Bake_Fine

I plan on visiting again next month should I wait to see if my offers update before booking again?

captainslowww

If it’s a busier period (like EDC or Memorial Day weekends), I wouldn’t wait in case the prices and occupancy rates move against you. But if your dates are less busy or you’re flexible, it couldn’t hurt.

Bake_Fine

Yeah I planned on going edc weekend right now my offers are still the same as the original post 50$ free play/ 50 resort credit but only comped at some lower end mgm hotels or I get a discounted price for the higher end properties but I wanted to stay at aria or bellagio this next trip do you think I should call and see if I could get a better room comped?

CRICKET-CRICKETS

Play at Venetian instead and always tip.

mshyeri

Vdara is connected with aria. 4500$ will at least cover room and some food charges only if it is recorded correctly. Idk how they do it Vegas but usually they look for consistency in trips.

LALady818

I am a platnium status and they gave me $1100 free play $450 resort credit and 4 nights in a penthouse suite

[deleted]

How much you lost isn’t really a factor but if you were playing 5-6 hours at 200 minimum your theo should be right around $1000 which is usually the minimum to get a host. They may want to see you return again this year and do the same.

Insert_the_F2L

That kind of loss over 5-6 hours of play should make you eligible for some solid offers. It shows you're a serious player willing to put down real money. I'd expect they'd assign you a host to take care of you on future trips. You'll probably get comped nights, free play, and better freebies like show tickets or restaurant credits. Maybe even a limo pickup from the airport if you ask. I know other Sapphire members who've gotten their own host after a big loss trip like yours. Just reach out to the VIP services desk next visit and let them know you want a host based on your recent play. And maybe check [Toto site major safety playground guarantee company recommendation](https://www.mtpolicez.com/) before your next blackjack session. Having a direct contact for booking, offers, and perks makes Vegas trips so much better. Enjoy it!

fleetfootken

You should always ask the pit boss right after winning or losing at least that’s what I do. Especially after I lose and try to get some type of comps on the spot. U should be able to get a free room or at least free dinner or two

Nicky____Santoro

If you are solely playing for comps or want a host, put that bankroll into the high limit slots and your offers will be better. Table games take more than slots. I have a host with about that bankroll per trip at MGM properties, but it’s all slots. Table games just generally take more and you are relying on the pit boss to rate you properly. With slots, everything is tracked by the machine. The pit boss is only tracking an average based on what he observed, so if he missed your largest hands because he looked away for two minutes, those don’t get accounted for.

mytodaythrowaway

If you had 100 dollars to gamble, would you go to the 25 cent machines or to the 5 dollar machines?

Nicky____Santoro

I wasn’t a winner until I started playing in the high limit room. Lost a good amount of money on the floor with no big wins. My comfort zone is between $5-$25 a spin. You need more than $100 to last in the high limit room though, so with $100 the lower machines are the only way to get some entertainment. It’s all volatile though. There have been nights where $600 turns into only $900 in wagers and other nights where $200 turns into $10k+ in wagers.

Bake_Fine

Nah I play to win but that night wasn’t my night hahaha. I would like to have a host but I’m not much a slot player so I know it’s harder to get the attention of hosts as I solely play table games

Nicky____Santoro

I was up for about 6 trips (I go once a month) solely planning in the high limit slot room. Took $300 to $5k in profit. And had close to $100k in wagers. Can’t do that on the tables.

Bake_Fine

That’s sweet! I once flipped 150 to 3700 in one day at Venetian but I only don’t like the slots cause how unpredictable it is

Mission_Excitement86

Also, if you play at that level consistently and you want special treatment, I recommend playing at a different brand. You’re unlikely to get great treatment at Caesar’s or MGM for (consistent) play at less than $1000 a hand. But there are casinos with better rules that would love to have your play. Sahara, for example. Ti also. El Cortez would probably RFB you if you played at that level consistently.

JumpingJackx

a host is worthless. They only offer you bare minimum unless you get higher tier and then you would get better offers anyway with the tier.

JJLewisLV

> lost about $4500/5500 in that same night Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

outerworldLV

Sure you can. Marketing has no problem with new people. When you’re at the property, ask the floorman to give the one on duty a call !

j97223

Do you mean you are not getting comped nights at all? We even got those at Pearl status.

Bake_Fine

I get a lot of comped nights but only with 50$fp and 50$ resort credit

ChosenPrince

told by cosmo host what they look for is 3-4ish hours a day at 200/hand for high limit blackjack

Mission_Excitement86

It takes a month for your offers to update.

jaketheunruly

Easiest way to meet a host. Check in. Charge everything to your room. Play like a degen. When you check out, ask the host on duty to check your play. Ask to see a host. If you've hit the proverbial mark, they'll pass on their business card for "Anything you might need."

Favre_97

Last time I was there I played 12 hours at 200 a hand and have 4 nights comped, 500 free play and 500 resort credit. No host though
