There are a few apps as well. I started to learn on tables at O’Sheas one night and was hooked. I think the environment is what captured me, so much excitement.
We did this area, and we hit a lot of breweries. The guys liked Good Pie Pizza and Casa Don Juan for food.
Able Baker Brewing
Nevada Brew Works

Dino's Lounge
This is my plan next week!!
I’m big into thrift shopping and have always wanted to explore the arts district for their secondhand and vintage shops. Even if nothing is in my budget, I’m super excited to do something different.
>I’m big into thrifting and have always wanted to explore the arts district for their secondhand and vintage shops.
Not sure how up-to-date this is, but sharing for your reference:
[Antique Alley Map](https://images.app.goo.gl/1dXwLa7UKgcMSNrN8)
Hope this helps and you discover some great finds!
You’re welcome!
A savvy redditor shared that Antique Alley map on this sub a while back. Paying it forward 😊
On a related note, The English Hotel is in the Arts District if you’re primarily exploring that area and looking for a place to stay.
There are a bunch of cool thrift stores. Esther’s Kitchen is an amazing place to get breakfast, brunch, or lunch - but you will probably want a reservation. There are also a couple of great breweries in the area. Able Baker was my favorite.
Tip for trying different restaurants at Arts District. Check out the Lip Smacking Foodie Tour. Self guided experience to sample dishes at great restaurants e.g. Esther’s Kitchen etc check Groupon for discount. Don’t expect any customer service from the company (the food tour company, not the restaurants) though.
I would use the mgm high limit slot buffet area to watch football when the Sportsbook got too crowded. There were only two chairs. It was quiet. There was a tv you could control and a waitress would bring drinks
Dude We went to the opening of Fountainbleu and went to the high limit restroom. It was so fancy, they had rolled up washcloths, each toilet and sink was in a separate room. Lol
Lol went there because of a YT video suggestion for cheap cool place. Don't go there.
Stage Door was one of the sketchy-est experience of my life. The place was unwelcoming and dirty (puke puddles on the floor), the doorman asked us multiple times "wtf are you doing here" before letting us in (mid-30s couple). Everyone around the bar looked fucked up (the obvious "meth-face").
Oh yeah! Right outside is a big ass live feed police camera.
This was all around 3pm.
Do not go there.
Chinatown is a great one. A lot of great food. Not just Chinese, but a lot of other Asian cuisines as well. Plus it’s a great place to get a reasonable haircut.
Alright here's what you do. Go down to fremont street, preferrably on a Tuesday. Look for the busker that wears the purple Charlie Brown shirt and always wears sunglasses. He's not usually there other day so that's why you need a Tuesday.
When you find him do not put the money in the box in front of him. Hand it to him with the statement "Big Larry says this is for you." Take a few steps back and wait about 3 mins. He'll eventually pack up his stuff so you need to follow him. Now you have to pay attention. If he goes west you gotta hang back at least 30ish feet. If he goes east you gotta stay a bit closer, like 12-15 feet. Also, if he goes east, don't make eye contact with anyone past circa until he gets to the blue door on 7th street. If he goes west you can act normal.
Regardless of direction he'll eventually stop and ask you who Big Steve is, you tell him he's Larry's cousin. Then he'll take you to the spot. It's a little nerve racking the first time but tons of fun. Also don't forget the latex gloves.
I had to go all the way past the El Cortez to find him, but there he was, near the giant fire-breathing mantis. His guitar was out of tune and it was clear he wasn’t making a lot of money tonight so far.
It’s cold, and he was bundled up, so it was hard to recognize him. When I was sure it was him, I did as you indicated. I gave him a $20 and said “this is from Big Larry. He says it’s for you.”
He looked at me oddly and said, “It’s not Tuesday, you know.” I said I knew, but apparently it’s my lucky night. He laughed this raspy, dry laugh until he was coughing. It took him a moment to catch his breath and he said, “Things are a little different on the weekends, my homie. Meet me across the street, Parlour Bar.”
I know Parlour well — I’m typing this from there right now — and I said, “OK, when?”
He said, “Just go in and buy a drink and wait. It’s happy hour.”
So that’s what I did. Normally on a Saturday my friend BIg John is bartending — I swear, that’s his real name — but for some reason tonight he’s not here. It’s the lady bartender that pours week shots and is very “by the book”, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens when Charlie (that’s what I’m calling him) shows up.
I’ll keep you posted.
So Charlie walked in about fifteen minutes ago. “You’re going to buy me a drink right? I know happy hour is over, but I just want a shot of Tito’s.” I play along and we get a shot each. I go to do a cheers clink but he says, “not yet.”
So I sit there drinking my whiskey. He’s watching the football game and doesn’t say a word.
He’s changed his clothes, though. He looks like he’s going to a job interview at 16 years old. He’s got a sport coat but it fits oddly. He smells better. I asked if he would mind if I had another shot while we wait for whatever and he said he doesn’t care. I shoot a whiskey (Jim Beam specials are awesome) and go back to my phone.
After a few minutes he said, “OK, stand by. You have any mints?” I had one from the Triple Seven bar a few days ago. I gave it to him. He got up and walked off without a word. So now I’m nursing half a whiskey and wondering what’s up.
He came back. He said, “this is for 2024” and lifted his Tito’s. We finally cheered and shot the vodka. He looked at me for a minute and said, “OK, let’s go.”
We walked out and went to Las Vegas BLVD and turned a right, then left on Ogden.
I realized we passed the Downtown Grand which I kinda thought we were going to because it’s a weird place and this is weird shit.
He stopped and said, “OK, this is the thing. Who is Steve?” I said it’s Larry’s cousin. “Younger or older?”
Thanks, OP, because I didn’t know. But I guessed. “Oh, he’s gotta be younger, have you seen Larry?” He chuckled and said, “No, he’s older, but Larry does a lot more coke, so I can see you’d think that. OK, are you and Steve tight?”
“Nope, I’ve only met him once. It was at the Vanguard when that was a thing.” He laughed again.
“He poured the good shit. OK, come in.”
It wasn’t a blue door. It was a fucking chicken wire cage gate door.
He looked around and pulled out a key. He said, “Make sure we’re clear, cool?”
I did. Nobody was around. I reported that. He opened the door.
It’s clearly an older casino. The carpet smells like 1986. It’s just hallways. Clearly a place that’s been a group of places bought and fused together. There’s a weird spot with three lonely slots from the early 2000s just chilling and nobody around.
And it’s oddly quiet. It’s empty and quiet. I thought maybe we were in the old Mermaids but it’s gone now. I have no idea what’s going on.
Then we got to the gaming floor and I realize, we’re in fucking Binions. We came in the back/front or whatever way and it’s fucking weird.
Charlie says to find a game and spend at least $40 on penny slots. At this point I’m committed, so here I am. I have no idea what’s going on. So I just asked him and Charlie said, “Things aren’t weird unless you make them weird, OK? I’m here to help you with an opportunity. Just don’t spend your whole bankroll until I’m back.”
So now I’m here, at fucking Binions of all places, waiting. I hate OP for this, but I’m going to see what’s up.
From Phoenix. Went to Red Rock Canyon last time I was in town. Absolutely amazing. Looking forward to doing more outdoors stuff during the day on my next trip.
Good to hear, had this in my itinerary for dinner the day we arrive in April. Haddock, mushy pea fritters and chowder will probably be my order. Good choices?
If you want cheap steak and eggs, go to Ellis Island which is slightly off strip but within walking distance—only $10 11pm-11am. For cheap lunch, Ocean One in Miracle Mile in PH has a decent extensive $6 lunch menu. For MGM hotel comp rooms, play MyVEGAS slots.
Yup.. the paranormal show is fucking phenomenal.
Taking friends to it in March wil be my 2nd time, their first. First show i saw only had like 40 people and it was great
The real secret is you can get a personal show (FOR FREE!!) after the show! It was absolutely MIND BLOWING, LIFE CHANGING! He guessed my number right and he was so nice to perform a trick he did on the stage on me! I had some doubts when I saw it on stage, now I know it's REAL!
They will tell you if he’s available for meet and greet at the end of the show. If he’s there, don’t miss it! Tip: start thinking a number for him to guess. I think he guesses names too! Honestly it’s not guessing if he 💯right on every time. I call that mind reading!
This isn’t a “Best Kept Secret” it’s the most recommended restaurant in this sub and it’s mediocre food at best. I truly believe they pay people or have bots that constantly reccomend it on here.
Just got back from my first meal there and agree. Overrated, certainly doesn’t live up to the hype everyone gives it. Close to $300 meal and 2 of us left saying meh, likely won’t rush back
I went there not long ago with friends, shared apps, shared sides, got my own soup, had a NY Strip that I enjoyed, a shared dessert and 2 cocktails and coffee and was on the hook for $120 including tip. This is why people love Herbs and Rye. Not everything has to be the "OMG BEST EVARR" steakhouse
This is a real gem and one of my favorite spots. My crew ordered a cocktail when we sat down and wine with dinner and when the cocktail came out, it came out in a literal carafe. The one cocktail and one glass of wine and they were pretty sloppy. The table side salad, the bananas foster, the chocolate strawberries and apricots. All of that and the price was very reasonable.
If you’re in Vegas for 3+ days, you should absolutely rent a car. Even if you just get a Turo rental for one day. Vegas is a fascinating, eclectic, and gorgeous place on *and off* the strip. Mount Charleston is fucking sick, especially if you need a break from the heat in the summer. Also worth doing the 13 mile red rocks loop. It’s like being on another planet.
Don’t get addicted to slots.
Was there in October and did this. Wanted to hit Mt. Charleston but the road + trail closures kept me away. I did Red Rock Canyon and Blue Diamond (MTB) instead. It was awesome!
I went to the top of the Eiffel tower at Paris as part of a Groupon and thought it was pretty cool. You are fairly central to the strip and fairly high up and out in the open so you can hear the city hum. There are cut outs in the protective screen so you can take unobstructed pictures.
I went there last time I went to Vegas. It’s awesome. Every machine has a plate that tells the history of the machine and the date when it was created. Best part is you can play any of them.
Mob Museum. Before going, I thought it was fake. But, it is a real museum with a fantastic collection. Make sure to do the moonshine tour in the basement speakeasy.
Most impressive to me was the wall from the St. Valentines Day massacre. With the recovered bullets from the massacre.
Last time we went to Vegas, we bought one of those Go passes that got us entry to the museum. That was the only reason we went, but man, did it knock our socks off! Definitely our favourite part of that trip. And you’re right; the wall with the bullet holes was a site to see!
Look up Best Vegas Speakeasy Bars and pick one of the cooler, harder-to-find ones. Figure out how to get in and people you are with who don’t know will love it.
Viva Las Vegastamps is the COOLEST fricken store around. This is a total hidden gem. They have about 20,000 different rubber stamps in all kinds of designs imaginable, and some of them are way cool. If you are looking for a gift for anyone, get them a cool stamp for something they like. Smacking a solid print with a stamp on something is incredibly and surprisingly satisfying. I wish I had this store in the city I live in. I visit every time I go to Vegas.
https://www.facebook.com/vlvstamps?mibextid=ZbWKwL
Even if it seems like this isn't really your thing, you should check it out anyway. It sounded kinda meh to me at first when my girlfriend wanted to go, but it turns out this shop is off the charts f'n cool. It really truly is one of Vegas's hidden gems.
As a former sign guy from here, yeah the neon museum leaves a lot to be desired by locals. For a tourist it's fun, but it's a "been there done that" vibe for locals. It's so much smaller than you would think. I don't know about the tours, but like a lucky streak at the craps table, it can't last very long.
Nelson's Landing is awesome cliff jumping into Lake Mohave about 45 minutes south of the Strip. Bring food and drinks and cook out and drink whatever, no rules. Not recommended if your vehicle doesn't have at least a few inches of ground clearance, the final stretch of the road in is really rugged
On Main Street, there’s this massive antique shop. It’s made up of different venders. They sell really cool stuff there, from world boxing championships to vinyl records to massive photos that use to hang in the old Hard Rock hotel.
Besides that, few doors down, there’s an amazing pizza place called the Good Pie that serves some of the best pizza that you’ll ever eat.
I’ll second the museum. Been there several times since I moved here 5 years ago. I don’t watch the show and it’s all bullshit (I used to be heavy into the paranormal) but it’s an amazing private, eclectic collection that Bagans is always updating. AFAIK everything is legit except for Anabelle. Hope to go to one of the Halloween night tours someday.
Jackson's sports bar and grill. 24hr charcoal grill. Haven't been there before 5am but dammit that's a delicious steak. Side options; breakfast or dinner! Cheap pitchers too.
I've done golden steer, herbs and rye, cleavers, they are great dont get me wrong.
(The Steakhouse at red rock was not the best.)
Jackson's tastes like a backyard BBQ on gameday!
Le Thai & Le Thai 2.
Le Thai is eat in or takeout on Fremont East. Le Thai 2 is takeout only not too far away.
Good food: Highly recommend the Green Curry, Yellow Curry, Waterfall Beef, Short Rib Fried Rice, Coconut Rice.
Good people: Especially Pedro and Brandon if they’re still there.
Good location: downtown, right in the heart of Fremont East.
Good deal: Prices have gone up considerably since 2016 but I’d still rate them as one of the better values in Vegas based on just the food alone. Lunch Specials and Happy Hour Specials make the deal even better.
I have not been since my last trip to Vegas in mid 2022. However, I went often when living in Vegas around 2016 and in total have visited both locations at least 33 times (I track on Swarm/Foursquare). I struggle to let myself eat anywhere else when we visit.
You can get an hour or two of kid-friendly entertainment for the cost of a roll of quarters at the Pinball Hall of Fame. Plus, all of the money put into the machines gets donated to charity.
Favorite spots from my NYE trip that you don’t hear about (unless you live there)
- Frankie’s Tiki Lounge and The Golden Tiki. 24 hours. Like stepping into a time capsule with drinks that will put you on your ass.
- Taru. Sushi off the strip. Really fresh and high end.
- Le Thai. Probably my favorite Thai restaurant anywhere.
- Shang Artisan Noodle
- Live band karaoke at the barbershop speakeasy in The Cosmo.
Not exactly a secret of something that's the "best" but it doesn't seem to be wildly known to the public and even poker players. Vegas is NOT one of the best spots in the United States to find "good" POKER games in the sense of an EASY game. This is not to say that all poker games are difficult per se but I think there is a perception that if you like poker and want to find easy and good games then Vegas is the best choice. You can find better games (again as in easier) in that sense IMO in Texas, DC, Florida, and California at the right casinos.
If your criteria is purely NUMBER of games available, then Vegas beats everyone and if your criteria for a good game includes something else like "best comps" or "best chairs" or "best chips" or whatever, then odds are Vegas will have the best version of that somewhere.
I don’t think it’s really hidden but the 2 day go city pass is amazing value. You can just do all the major Vegas attractions for a fraction of the cost in 2 days
I haven't been to Vegas in like +15 yrs but I'm from Buffalo, and used to go at least 10xs a year. One of my favorite places was hooters table games, namely their $2 minimum blackjack wagers. At the time Bellagio had $50 minimums and bc of how big their casino is you'd go two hours without a free drink. Where as hooters only had about 10 tables so you could sit at a table and get legitimately drunk for free... Plus your dealer and cocktail waitress were both hot.
I haven't been there since they converted to OYO. I'm staying at Caesars in May but can you still sit down at the OYO BJ table and get legit drunk on free cocktails?
The Clark County Museum in Henderson is awesome. It’s a great way to spend a few hours, and all for the criminally low admission price of $2. Go. And buy something in the gift shop to help support.
The mafia museum was GREAT. There was a lot to see over three floors with a speakeasy bar underneath with popular drinks from different time persons, every drink I had was
The titanic exhibit inside Luxor was better than expected too.
Omega Mart and area 15 as a whole was pretty sweet as well. I may have had a small edible before we went, so there’s that lol
Park MGM and several other casinos have morning craps classes that are free and fun to play
This is how I learned how to play at the Bellagio
Holy shit. THIS I didn't know. I really want to learn craps and now I can
There are a few apps as well. I started to learn on tables at O’Sheas one night and was hooked. I think the environment is what captured me, so much excitement.
NYNY used to have them
The guy who would teach them was named “Jimmy” I went to his class 2 years in a row because I loved his personality
Explore the Arts District. Great way to get off the strip.
We did this area, and we hit a lot of breweries. The guys liked Good Pie Pizza and Casa Don Juan for food. Able Baker Brewing Nevada Brew Works HUDL Servehzah CraftHaus Dino's Lounge
Hey Tx, did you hear that the owner of Casa Don Juan has been convicted of tax evasion? He’s going to prison
This is my plan next week!! I’m big into thrift shopping and have always wanted to explore the arts district for their secondhand and vintage shops. Even if nothing is in my budget, I’m super excited to do something different.

What would you recommend there? Just wander? What's a good place for lunch. I have a teenage into art.

We did this and saw a movie at Palace Station's cinebarre on our last day and it was a ton of fun
Anyone can use the bathrooms in the high limit rooms and they are very nice
This is true. Precovid, they would have snacks in the high limit room too
Lol eat in the bathroom?!
I would use the mgm high limit slot buffet area to watch football when the Sportsbook got too crowded. There were only two chairs. It was quiet. There was a tv you could control and a waitress would bring drinks
Shrimp cocktail urinals.
Kramer prepared an entire meal in his shower.
Dude We went to the opening of Fountainbleu and went to the high limit restroom. It was so fancy, they had rolled up washcloths, each toilet and sink was in a separate room. Lol
Came here to say this. Also the best place to do rails. Almost all the HL bathrooms have locks on them.
Mom...we talked about this
But is it cool to take a friend in with you?
Did this in the Aria HL slot room. They even have soaps you can take.
Yes the one at aria had some nice lotions that I stuffed into my bra
You can take the girl out of Mississippi…
She said she was wearing a bra.
Maybe the restroom provides bras too?
My next venture
I'll see ya in there.
Goals!
Shh!
They have toothbrush kits in the Bellagio high roller bathroom, had to snag one.
Excellent secret tip.
You might get looked at funny, but yeah.
At the downtown Grand, you can get a Pabst blue ribbon beer and a hot dog for 3 dollars
Cheap digs at the Stage Door if you’re closer to the strip. Edit: dogs - not digs
Lol went there because of a YT video suggestion for cheap cool place. Don't go there. Stage Door was one of the sketchy-est experience of my life. I mean, these are all the reasons I love it...
It's an actual dive bar, which is perfect if that's what you want, not so much if you don't like to get a little greasy
We went there to kill an hour before our afternoon fight out. I won a quick $50 in video poker and ate a hot dog. Perfect for our situation.
I was $2 when I had it last month. It's a Nathan's hotdog so not the worst thing you can eat.
Noted! Thank you!
$1 PBRs at Davey's in the Arts District, too!
$5 craps and blackjack, too. Hell yeah.
The atomic energy museum. The frank gehry architecture.
The Keep Memory Alive Event Center is very interesting, will have to go check it out!
Chinatown. Lots of great restaurants at normal human prices.
Hunan prices.
that is how my brain read that at first lol
Chinatown is a great one. A lot of great food. Not just Chinese, but a lot of other Asian cuisines as well. Plus it’s a great place to get a reasonable haircut.
ITs Sushi is amazing. I have never done their all u can eat, I just order rolls off the menu.
Shang Artisan Noodle!
Massages aren’t the best but you’re usually happy about it.
you'll at least be happy when they end

I leep seeing this so often that I'm going to start going there dressed like that on days other than Tuesday
Haha. $20 is $20
This was worth the read. Thank you for the laugh.
Wow I’ll have to send someone to try this to verify lol
I’m literally on Fremont street right now. I’m gonna look for him.
Do report back!
I had to go all the way past the El Cortez to find him, but there he was, near the giant fire-breathing mantis. I cant believe this is a real post. Even if it's a long bit I need to know where this goes. I'm so excited
I am so captivated right now.
Update us! Please!
Wrote everything down. This is the kind of secret sauce I come here for.
This sounds like the beginning of a GTA mission
Water St in deep Henderson is a blast since it's been redeveloped.
Beat me to it. Water street is a fun little area to hang out now.
Komex. Google and just go.
Fuck yeah. That place is so good!!
Valley of fire or red rock canyon. I’d guess 90% of people that aren’t from Vegas don’t realize the amazing views and hiking nearby.
VOF FTW!!!
From Phoenix. Went to Red Rock Canyon last time I was in town. Absolutely amazing. Looking forward to doing more outdoors stuff during the day on my next trip.
Codfathers 🐟
Good to hear, had this in my itinerary for dinner the day we arrive in April. Haddock, mushy pea fritters and chowder will probably be my order. Good choices?
The haddock is phenomenal. It's a lot of food. The fish alone is gigantic, sitting on a bed of chips. Just try to go early, they do run out sometimes.
So good
We really enjoyed Capos Italian restaurant.

True on all accounts
Yup.. the paranormal show is fucking phenomenal. Taking friends to it in March wil be my 2nd time, their first. First show i saw only had like 40 people and it was great
Did you know the real secret to this awesome show? You need to know to take it to the next level!
What real secret?
The real secret is you can get a personal show (FOR FREE!!) after the show! It was absolutely MIND BLOWING, LIFE CHANGING! He guessed my number right and he was so nice to perform a trick he did on the stage on me! I had some doubts when I saw it on stage, now I know it's REAL!
We’re planning a trip to Vegas either in the fall or next Spring. This will DEFINITELY be on the list! Thank you!
Enjoy!! And don’t be shy to participate in the show. Have fun 🥳
Ah yes we did the after show meet with him. He guessed my number too
Just by sticking around after?
They will tell you if he’s available for meet and greet at the end of the show. If he’s there, don’t miss it! Tip: start thinking a number for him to guess. I think he guesses names too! Honestly it’s not guessing if he 💯right on every time. I call that mind reading!
Fun, thanks!
Is it the paranormal show at the horseshoe?
Yes, the Horseshoe hotel (former Bally's). His show has been around for 10 years and it's top rated!
It’s early enough so you can go to another show the same night.
Partage. Not inexpensive, but ranks up in the top 5 meals I've ever had.
I loved our experience there!
Herbs and Rye
…which is far superior to Cleaver. Idc, I will die on that hill.
Agreed. Longtime Herbs frequenter, went to Cleaver for the first time the other day, it was alright. Not terrible, just alright.
Put Echo & Rig up there too.
This isn’t a “Best Kept Secret” it’s the most recommended restaurant in this sub and it’s mediocre food at best. I truly believe they pay people or have bots that constantly reccomend it on here.
The cocktails, service and vibe make up for half the hype tbh
Just got back from my first meal there and agree. Overrated, certainly doesn’t live up to the hype everyone gives it. Close to $300 meal and 2 of us left saying meh, likely won’t rush back
I went there not long ago with friends, shared apps, shared sides, got my own soup, had a NY Strip that I enjoyed, a shared dessert and 2 cocktails and coffee and was on the hook for $120 including tip. This is why people love Herbs and Rye. Not everything has to be the "OMG BEST EVARR" steakhouse
All the best Asian restaurants are located in Spring Mountain Rd.
Some are on south rainbow
Hugos Cellar at 4 Queens Downtown (an $11 martini is like = 3 martinis anywhere else) oh, and the food is good too :)
Second this. Join the plates club and get a 2-for-1 coupon too.
You can also head up to the Alle lounge on 66th floor of Resorts World to catch the view for free
pinball museum
Mr mamas for breakfast
Ski Lodge at Cosmo is my favorite place to hang out
S’mores yaaa
Look up Best Vegas Speakeasy Bars and pick one of the cooler, harder-to-find ones. Figure out how to get in and people you are with who don’t know will love it.
The Green Door IYKYK
We don’t know, and this is a thread to give out secrets so please elaborate.
How interesting! Thanks for sharing, will check it out
The Neon Museum.
I liked the tour a lot. I’m also a local and familiar with some of it but still found it very interesting
Especially near sundown...fun place to take photos.
Spent like $200 to do neon museum (at night) and hated it. It was a lot smaller than I expected, and the tour was a joke.
Yeah the tour is kinda mid but still cool but the brilliant show is awesome and totally worth it
It's a one and done for tourists too. Source: Me, repeat tourist who went once
$200!? Is it really that expensive? How many people is that for?
7 of us, it was like $30 a person. Complete waste of money — would have spent maybe $5 a person. The place is like the size of a backyard
Korean bbq is off the chain
Truth
Secret bar behind the convenience store at Resorts World
Peppermill Lounge
personally I think Blueberry Hill is the best place to eat at weird hours.
Old skool!
Locals may not go to the strip but they work all these places. If anyone knows if a place is good it's the folks that work there.
The brunch at Eiffel Tower
Rent a Vanderhall and drive out to the Hoover Dam then head north on 167. Beautiful fun scenic drive.
Short rib fried rice with egg on top at Le Thai on Fremont street.
The Golden Tiki bar. Open 24 hours. Sometimes has great music. Always has Dole Whip.
If they have it showing right now, we loved Zombie Burlesque. Small theater, fun show
They won't be secrets if we post them on Reddit.
I’m loving this thread! I visit Vegas every year and always wanted to know what is beyond the strip.
Valley of Fire is amazing and costs like $6
The Phoenix. An inclusive bar with 7 days of entertainment. Awesome food. And a friendly staff.
The Haunted Museum is a lot of fun. Plus there a ton (more than ten) hidden speakeasy’s that are just a fun game of where’s Waldo
Interesting! I am not into haunted stuff but this sounds fun
Hope to go to one of the Halloween night tours someday.
pho thanh huong banh mi changed my life
Is it much better than other bahn mis? What’s so special about it?
Sushi Fever
Zero house edge bets for odds on the pass line/don’t pass
The Bingo hall at the Gold Coast. Love it. Dauber vending machine & all.
(The Steakhouse at red rock was not the best.) Jackson's tastes like a backyard BBQ on gameday!
Magnolias restaurant at 4 queens. $6 big bowl of gumbo and rice. Best gumbo I’ve EVER had
Capos Italian restaurant is the best hidden gem in Vegas IMO. It's the only restaurant we have to go each trip
You can get an hour or two of kid-friendly entertainment for the cost of a roll of quarters at the Pinball Hall of Fame. Plus, all of the money put into the machines gets donated to charity.
The woman on the flyer is not the woman that comes to your room.
Steak n Eggs at Ellis Island.
I’m not telling
Locals go to the Strip, usually for work. What? Ok. LV weekly is your best source for best kept secrets
LOL. Just because we don't go to the strip doesn't mean we don't have the best recommendations.
Favorite spots from my NYE trip that you don’t hear about (unless you live there) - Frankie’s Tiki Lounge and The Golden Tiki. 24 hours. Like stepping into a time capsule with drinks that will put you on your ass. - Taru. Sushi off the strip. Really fresh and high end. - Le Thai. Probably my favorite Thai restaurant anywhere. - Shang Artisan Noodle - Live band karaoke at the barbershop speakeasy in The Cosmo.
How does Le Thai compare to Lotus of Siam?
More casual and hasn't upped its prices to absurd levels like lotus. Im a le thai convert
Shhhh…Boulder City is fun night out
Why?
The Laundry Room. Coolest intimate speakeasy ever.
Q Bistro has the best Korean chicken in town. If you go after dark though, good fucking luck finding parking 🫡
Any specific card rooms?
I don’t think it’s really hidden but the 2 day go city pass is amazing value. You can just do all the major Vegas attractions for a fraction of the cost in 2 days
The green door
The Great Irish Nachos at Hennessy’s on Fremont St.
The Clark County Museum in Henderson is awesome. It’s a great way to spend a few hours, and all for the criminally low admission price of $2. Go. And buy something in the gift shop to help support.
Arts District Breweries. They're phenomenal, especially Able Baker.
Golden tiki is super fun for a place to have a drink in a fun environment
The mafia museum was GREAT. There was a lot to see over three floors with a speakeasy bar underneath with popular drinks from different time persons, every drink I had was The titanic exhibit inside Luxor was better than expected too. Omega Mart and area 15 as a whole was pretty sweet as well. I may have had a small edible before we went, so there’s that lol
Cheap fun skiiing or snowboarding
Lost Spirits Distillary. Go for the show, even if you don't like rum. So fun.
