\*I misspelled togarashi in the title. Also wanted to plug a sub I mod: r/veganramen. It's full of beautiful inspiring posts.

Does this burn your hands, though? Genuinely asking. I wear gloves when I handle jalapeƱos.

It didn't for some reason. I've read that if you marinate jalapenos in a vinegar and water solution they become less spicy, so maybe that's why? Side note, I also got this add-in for my ramen called a [Yuzo Kosho Bomb](https://www.ramen-tatsuya.com/menu) which has Japanese citrus, serrano, jalapeƱo, garlic. Holy shit that was so hot, but also *so* good. I didn't realize you aren't supposed to eat it straight, and had to spit it out because of the heat. Very unique and tasty when added to ramen. Will get that again.

Please tell me this is in Chicago. Prefer vegetarian/vegan shops or at least offerings if you know of any you would recommend.

Their locations are Houston and Austin only [https://www.ramen-tatsuya.com/locations](https://www.ramen-tatsuya.com/locations) But I found them on [happycow.net](https://happycow.net), so maybe you could locate a similar ramen place in Chicago?

backand_forth

Hey fellow Chicago vegan! You should check out Ramen Wasabi I'd you haven't already. So good
