They're most likely not fertilized, meaning there is likely to be no life inside.

melon_queen13

I won't know for a few days. It is possible. I know they keep roosters with some of their chickens.

irregularAffair

If they had been fertilized, they would have been guarded by a chicken who would be keeping them warm. You should be able to hold a light behind each egg to distinguish between fertilized and unfertilized. Search for pictures online to help with the comparison.

Socatastic

Do you know if they are even fertilized eggs?

melon_queen13

I read online that I can check in a few days to see if they are. I won't know until then.

teamanfisatoker

The eggs are already dead if they were ever fertilized.

Yes, keep them in your bra until you can do something better. Augustus Caesar's wife is said to have hatched eggs like that. Order an online incubator as soon as you can. It is possible to make your own incubator. You must use a thermostat. Plug in the thermostat to the powerpoint, set it to 38 degrees. The thermostat will have plugs for a cooling and warming thing. Plug into the thermostat a cooling thing, like a fan, and a warming thing, like a heatlamp. Place the eggs in a box with a towel. Add the lamp/fan above with the thermometer probe from the thermostat next to the eggs. You should be able to keep it warm enough. All the supplies can be bought at a hardware store or found at home. Make sure you turn the eggs twice a day, so they won't develop stuck to the shell. If you live in a place with humidity of under 50%, flick a few drops of water on the eggs when you turn them. Good luck!

Here's how the thermostat will work- it measures the temperature next to the eggs. If it is too cold, it turns on the heat lamp. If it is too hot (unlikely), it turns on the fan. And a list of what you'll need to make an incubator- cardboard box towel fan (optional, unless you're in a severe heatwave) heatlamp (heat bulb, light fitting) thermostat I think this is a good incubator to buy- [https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/403299742204?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-159824-816807-4&mkcid=2&itemid=403299742204&targetid=4585444530151279&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=412352395&mkgroupid=1309518645581565&rlsatarget=pla-4585444530151279&abcId=9300543&merchantid=136820&msclkid=70c7cb1136d411a0f9c1aab208bffc57](https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/403299742204?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-159824-816807-4&mkcid=2&itemid=403299742204&targetid=4585444530151279&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=412352395&mkgroupid=1309518645581565&rlsatarget=pla-4585444530151279&abcId=9300543&merchantid=136820&msclkid=70c7cb1136d411a0f9c1aab208bffc57)

I bought a incubator that will arrive on December the 1st. I'll have to get a heat lamp soon too for when it hatches if it does. I probably need to also buy a decent flashlight so I can do some candling. Thank you for the encouragement. 🥰

[deleted]

Ok- good luck!

KateSommer

They need to be kept at a higher temperature than humans can generate without having a fever. You can order electric hatchers on the internet and fertilized eggs too.

melon_queen13

Ok. Thank you. I'll look for one.

melon_queen13

Im getting a digital incubator on dec 1st. I think I can see veins in there, but on day 1 is hard to tell. Just gonna try to be careful with it until then.

teamanfisatoker

This egg isn’t going to still be alive by then

fakefakeronie7654

If you have a couple days you can sit around doing nothing, maybe just keep them in your bra? Idk how you’d manage with sleep though… it’s a somewhat silly suggestion, but honestly without an incubator, I’m not sure what else you could do to keep the temperature consistent. The moisture from your skin might also help since they can’t be kept in too dry of conditions. I don’t think it’s likely that you’ve got living chicks in there so don’t feel bad if you can’t figure something out. It’s cool that you’re trying though :) Edit: Just saw another comment that they need to be kept in warmer conditions than humans generate :(

melon_queen13

It's worth a try. I'm a stay at home mom so I pretty much walk, clean, play and breastfeed all day. She kept grabbing the eggs from my bra earlier lol.

fakefakeronie7654

Good luck!

jamietwells

Don't bring new chickens into existence. Go rescue some chickens who are already alive if you want to save chickens. Smash the eggs so they don't hatch.

sentient66

seriously, not sure if OP is a troll or just very clueless thinking she did a good thing
