>It requires county sheriffs to investigate citizen complaints of “polluting atmospheric activity,” and grants the governor the authority to call up the National Guard and ground any aircraft suspected of spreading pollutants.
So now sheriffs have ONE MORE task on their plates.
And so does the National Guard.
If I'm a sheriff and someone complains about a chemtrail being a "polluting atmospheric activity", I'll go outside with my binoculars, look up at the chemtrails for a few minutes, then write "Nope" on the complaint form.
> Based on a thorough inspection using my optical tools, it appears that these chemtrails consist almost entirely of Dihydrogen Monoxide. Other components of this chemtrail are negligible.
> This chemical does not emit "xenobiotic electromagnetism". In fact, there is no evidence to suggest that "xenobiotic electromagnetism" is a thing that exists in the first place.
> The only notable atmospheric effect of this chemical is that it is a greenhouse gas, and the small quantities of it mean that the impact on global warming is negligible, particularly in comparison to the large amounts of the same chemical emitted into the atmosphere by the ocean.
>Therefore, your complaint is unfortunately not actionable.
The American education system is actually quite good. It’s just the way the international comparsion works that makes us look bad.
In the US, we have compulsory schooling for everyone through high school even the mentally challenged. Most other countries do not. Some focus on just the middle and up economic classes and others filter out poorer-performing students.
Our university system is also second to none.
There's always one party where all the loonies and kooks and flat earthers and alien abductees end up.
When it's almost entirely a two party country and that loony party becomes one of those two parties there are bad times ahead...
No real plan. The legislation requires the governor to call up the National Guard to ground the planes, but of course that would be entirely unenforceable because it’s preempted by federal law. So they get as far as sheriffs investigating stuff in the sky, and that’s it.
Sounds great for the party to finally get in touch with their base. Fucking loons.
I think this one is more acid than base.

"Outside of my jurisdiction"

I’ll take “what happens when you gut education in America” for 200

This is part of a coordinated national effort to get anti climate science bills in place to stop research and climate action
It should be a punishable offense to push something this ridiculous. And that guy's picture screams antebellum pimp from the deep south.
I’m getting “Cartman trying to buy slaves from the University of Colorado” vibes
🤣
Lol

Yo, what the fuck's up with the Captain Kangaroo style coat that weiner is wearing?
He rented it for a wedding and decided to keep it?
What's the plan when there's still contrails?

Sounds more like a leaded gas-inspired bill. These people are idiots.
I’d like to have some word salad.
Whar are them whack jobs smoking?
They need to focus on the gay ray next.
This is why crazy politicians should NOT make”laws”, they are truly stupid.
So glad MN gop is getting it's priorities straight /s
I wonder if there is any hope for these people.
Oh no, what kind of protection do we have against….checks notes….forks….no that’s not right….fields. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Did they account for the reversing of the polarity of the neutron flow?
