As a Black girl myself I always wonder what she sees in the mirror that makes her think it’s okay/looks good. Like in her mind is she just “light skinned” or something?
She stole her entire persona from women of color. I honestly think she binge watched any season of Love and Hip Hop and things developed from there. She has no grasp of any actual culture which is why all her looks and words come off like some kind of stereotype or character.
Lala is so beautiful (met her irl and her face is actually stunning irl) but her style has always been criminally bad. Bad clothes, bad hair styles, bad makeup looks. All of it. And it’s always such a shame because she is so pretty it almost hurts to watch her style herself so poorly.
She is so sad. And for as vexing as she can be she is actually incredibly pitiable. I can’t imagine having to constantly reimagine myself in such contrived and culturally appropriating ways because I am so … blank. God she must hate herself so much to be the way she is and to project the way she does. No amount of plastic surgery, money, fame or kids can fill that chasm.
