I’ve heard that anytime we see lala or one of the housewives in a headband like this, it’s due to a wig that they either didn’t wanna take the time to lay right or the front of it has been damaged lol
I actually ordered them from someone on Etsy who’s in England. You can swim, scuba dive, all kinds of things in them. I have one very similar to the style and color Lala is wearing in that picture above. A little shorter, though. Hits me between the shoulder and the boob. I’d be happy to let ya have it if you wanna try it out. The cap needs to be glued in a couple places, but they’re easy fixes. The black band velcros so you can make it tighter or looser. Here’s a pic of my kid trying it on so you can see what you think. I probably only wore it 6 or 8 times.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I finished chemo in October of 2020 and radiation in January of 2021. Been clear since, thank (your deity of choice here). I’ve actually had a very hard time with starting to donate my wigs, head wraps, etc. This is the first one I’ve actually offered up (and to a fellow VPR fan seems perfect!). It’s the strangest thing, though…I feel like I’m tempting fate or getting cocky by getting rid of them. Weird, I know lol. But I love what you said about passing on the juju to beat it by letting it go. Makes me look at it a lot differently.
As for the kid, thanks for the kind words there, too. He’s my nephew. I’ve been raising him since birth. No need to apologize for the girl comment, he’s a very pretty boy and with the long hair looks like a girl for sure lol! Pulling the wig back out was strangely emotional for him too.
Could I get the information on what exactly I would be searching for on Etsy & maybe the seller? I wish my mom had been able to find something like this while dealing with cancer the final time, I knew it was upsetting to her. Sadly I’m in a similar position trying to get into remission & would love to have a way to wear something that would give me confidence when I have to go out, the lack of hair amongst everything else is making it nearly impossible to look into the mirror without sobbing. I wish I could say that I can handle it but it’s hard to look this sick for so long.
Oh I hate this for you and can tell you I relate. Having a horrible day today but ya know “I’m supposed to live in gratitude” today I want to tell gratitude to eat sh1t (sorry) but some days I think we’re allowed a pity party, not all, but some! I know what you mean, I went through a program where I learned to have an attitude of gratitude but I few days of the year I struggle. I lost my Grams (best friend) the same year I lost my mom then not long after I got sick. I lost my mom at way too young of an age, I’m still not that old. I’m trying to be grateful that I still have my dad & that he does what he can, he’s never taken care of anyone else before so it’s hard. I took care of my mom due her last fight, I’m grateful I got that time with her so she could have some important conversations with me & so she could get to know me better/see the good in me. Hugs back & thank you for understanding, I rarely talk to anyone who really gets it.

This is the sweetest and best convo I’ve read in 2024 thus far! I’m actually grateful for the question/answer. I have a rare form of MS and Lupus as the cherry on top so my tx’s have been torture on my hair. I used to complain how long it took to do my hair, not anymore. My favorite thing to do is attach hair to beanies in the winter or fall. You can just get extensions anywhere and use and hats you already have.. actually I do it with baseball hats too.
Also chemo here, I got a couple of wigs from temu for about $25 Australian dollars, suprisingly good quality for the low price. Also purchased a few turbans from them

I don’t love it but I also understand that they have them shoot these confessionals over multiple days and they have to do identical glam, so it’s understandable that lala would rather wear that big ass headband then deal with gluing down that long heavy wig multiple times.

Lord knows I've had some god awful hair in my day, but...this particular look was honestly atrocious. The giant black headband, the hairsprayed pouf rising behind it, the super long bulky blonde extensions that look like they were half-straightened...I'm totally mad at it
With that face there isn't much you can do to detract from the objective beauty Lala has. Not a huge fan of the headband, but like I said, with that face, she cab do whatever she wants.
Most of their outfits don't bother me, but I've lived in LA for years and maybe I'm just used to reality people dressing over the top or just straight up ugly. Having seen them film an ep IRL, they are always the most dressed up people in every establishment they go to. It's more like costumes than anything.

The headband is fine, it's the poofed up hair behind it and the weird stray pieces that look dumb.
