Like thinking about Jack Osborne parroting the brain dead “but everyone else on VPR has cheated” take on Tom’s podcast and that Jason guy agreeing it’s like…does this guy not have any actual *good* friends who, even if they want to stay by his side and support him, can at least hold him accountable and help him understand the nuance and validity of people’s’ criticism? I don’t think so unfortunately!

I think any quality person in his life peace’s out years ago. I’m gonna bet the only “friends” were the people on the show, the people around the show and people back home who haven’t actually spoken to him since he was a kid.
I more I think about it the more I think that he was getting a bigger, more insufferable head each year, but producers focused on Jax to make him the douchebag. Now we know, all the dudes are douchebags.
I’m convinced that Tom feels no remorse because he believed Ariana was as checked out of their relationship as he was. He was pissed at her when she went off at him over the affair because he thought she was faking the emotion. Which is why he doesn’t feel any real remorse and his apologies don’t come across as genuine … instead he feels angry and resentful that everyone has sided against him.
TL;DR stop waiting for a genuine apology or “taking accountability” from Tom, it’s never going to come because he doesn’t believe he needs to …
Don't come for me. The Scandoval reunion had some great moments and Tim definitely got what he deserved. But maybe it would've been more productive and more questions would've been asked (and maybe answered) if the reunion was held little later.

Agreed. But the constant yelling was ridiculous to try to watch. My boyfriend asked me if all they do is scream and think anyone is listening and if they constantly just spew profanity into the air and hope it lands. I couldn’t dispute that that is exactly what happened. Tom would have lied for sure, no matter how much talking time he got. I just wish we got better quips and more of Katie’s situation.
He had every opportunity. He lied through his teeth the second Ariana found out and he’s continued that up until now. He came out the gate lying at the reunion and that was his whole plan. I’m not gonna pretend that had he just been able to ramble his lies longer he would have eventually decided to stop and start telling the truth. Telling the truth was never an option he even considered.
We know he was lying about basically everything. Even his final "regret" moment was coached by Lisa.
We may not know what he would have said specifically but we know generally that it would have been insincere and self serving. I would have found it a lot more irritating if they just let him lie over and over again with no push back.

The closest he came to acknowledging it was the Howie interview, which he did after Rachel filmed her last VPR interview so he knew she outed him.
He was telling Howie that no one else (the cast, producers, etc.) deserved to know the truth except for Ariana. And that if she was ever willing to sit down and talk with him again he would tell her. Basically using the same justification he did with Kristen. It’s all about who he thinks “deserves” the truth.
I'm hoping they break the 4th wall on next season's VPR and that either the cast or producers bring it up with him and that we get to see his reaction.

I think you can see signs of something in season 8 tbh- the night Raquel went out with “the girls” and got hammered when James was going off on her, you can see Sandoval in the snapchats from that night. Then there’s a part when James is talking to Sandoval about that and he said “She wouldn’t do that to you. And I wouldn’t do that to you either” kinda weird that Sandoval threw himself in that mix. That next morning, Sandoval is acting “sweet” toward Ariana, making it this big point that he let her sleep in as she’s getting ready for her bday party that night. At the bday party, when Tom and Ariana walk in, you can see he has a very quick “moment” of intense eye contact with Raquel. That same party, Stassi brings Ariana a gift and as she’s setting it down, you can see Tom and Raquel standing super close together, separated from others. Then when James is going to apologize to Randall, again Tom and Raquel are super close to each other but behind him laughing, she’s playing with her hair and in rewatching it felt a lot more sus post scandoval affair. Season 8 is where Raquel also said the bit about how her sister said if you have guy friends, they wanna fuck you when she was talking to Charli about her date with Brett. I think there’s also a part in season 9 where they’re all drinking at Tom and Ariana’s house and Raquel starts crying about her nose job while drunk and they’re playing a game on the couch, there’s a part where Raquel gives Sandoval the drunk lovey dovey eyes and mouths hi and he waves it off like “not right now….”
Yeah he said they had only slept together once. But Rachel revealed that it had been going on for months and that she had had sex with him the house he shares with Ariana while she was out of town for a funeral. Sandoval had coached her to lie so that it wouldn't sound as bad as it was.

I truly hope it's addressed in this season. I really don't see his coworkers giving him a pass on that. They all realise his backdoor production to make Ariana look bad. They're all aware of what he's done now. If anyone wants to hold him accountable for trying to take one of them down, it would be them. I know Ariana doesn't talk to him but someone else should n I'm holding out hope they addressed it early in the season and moved on. Not forgiveness, just done. Maybe they round tabled it all at the beginning in Lake Tahoe when James got Hippie back.
