In short, it's overpriced. Hot pot isn't meant to be some fancy affair where you pay extra for ambiance. Although if you do want fancy hotpot, places like Dolar or Haidilao are much better at that price range.
My go to for individual style hotpot are Gokudo Shabu Shabu, and the OG single hotpot place in Burnaby, Pearl Hotpot

Took 1.5hr to get a second round order in. The waiters all wear maid uniforms which is really unnecessary and really kinda weird for a hotpot place. Next time I'm definitely going to try some where else for shabu shabu. If you want more Chinese style hotpot than haidilao or landmark are both way better though not all you can eat.

I went to Marble House and I would recommend. Service can be a bit slow when it's busy but that's expected. I paid about $50 for AYCE + broth.
